Mandy Moore takes a stab a covering “Umbrella,” originally performed by R&B songstress Rihanna.

That was not a great rendetion…her voice is beautiful, but the cover was just eh. The best Rihanna Umbrella Cover BY FAR is JOHN WEST at http://www.myspace.com/johnpeterwest

She’s discussing current top 40, not oldies. Coverage was all oldies, 50’s, 70’s, etc. If you can’t see a difference between old pop and current pop, you don’t know music at all.

I really like this cover. It has more soul acoustic. The Rihanna dancing in a leotard behind her kind of kills it. It’s really a beautiful lyrical song and the style of the original makes it into a candy pop R&B song and makes it much more shallow sounding than it really is.

Love her voice

WHOA. i love this!
i never really liked rihanna’s.
GO MANDY(:

i like mandy’s version. it’s not as annoying as the original.

Yeah she waz much better than fug Rihanna..even though big Mandy look like a fat old bag lady.

I love her version better.

Thoughtful, poignant, moving - I LOVED it!

I still love this song and it will probably have many more “lives” before most of us get tired of it, if ever. I’d love to hear numerous version from a variety of artists. Fun!

Great job, Mandy!

Thank you, Jared!

REALLY REALY GOOD
IMPRESSED

Pleaseeee! Mandy Moore! Go back to singing!

now i realise how beautiful this song really is! rihannas voice and the more studio-fabricated sound of her version created the impression that it’s too much about disco-style beat.

but mandy moore’s version’s so nice! it’s a great song. now it’s so clear.

I love Mandy Moore, but I hate this song. Umbrella is so annoying.

Very nice. Mandy has always had a good voice when she sings good songs.

It’s funny how one song can be sung better than the original by so many different artists. I love OneRepublic’s little cover that they play at their shows.

I prefer this version ! ! !

Brilliant!Luvvvvv it soooooo much. Never thought this song can be as touching as this.

better than the original!
oh man i cant believe Daniel Clark from Degrassi was there
awesome!

I must admit Mandy’s cover was very touching and i just never realised how beautiful this song is. I think the fabricated commercial club sound didn’t do it for me.

I hope that this version would be available soon for download or sale.

Can Someone put a link of that song where we can download it!!?? pls pls pls

i dont like this song (I totally dislike Rihanna’s irritating voice), but must say in this interpretation this song sounds good, Mandy performed very well.

I love her version. It is way much, much better than the original singer. Her voice is really good.

#27 - good point about the original singer who is dancing with her leotards - not appropriate.

She should jump off Rihanna’s dcik.

She ruined the song and proved she does have much of a voice.
