‘The Dark Knight’ Movie Stills
Some fantastic new pictures from the next Batman installment have surfaced!
The Dark Knight features Christian Bale reprising his role as the titular hero and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two Face (not pictured).
The Joker (Heath Ledger) can be seen holding a knife to the throat of D.A. Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Cillian Murphy (The Scarecrow in Batman Begins) also makes his return to the series. Very, very exciting!!!!!
The superhero flick opens next summer — July 18th.

can’t wait for this movie. maybe christian didn’t wanna get as big as in begins so he can fit into the batman costume. i heard it was tight before. not looking forward to seeing maggie. doubt they’ll have any chemistry.
Joker wants to kill Mags because the Gyllenhaal he thinks that’s hot is JAKE.
I agree we got a slimmer Batman this time. The only Batman for me is Kilmer.
christian’s looking a wee bit older but still hot! i doubt he and maggie will have chemistry! they should have cast someone else.
Only Michael Caine looks the same and healthy. Hmmm no more steroids for Bale this time around?

Christian looks wrinkly. Nolan said at the Wizard con that he’s not doing Justice League because he’s already burnt out with Batman.
They all look burnt out to me. I rather see Katie than Maggie so I hope Maggie’s Dawes gets Jokerized. Im cautiously optimistic about this one. Ranking my Batmen:

Of course, everyone on here doesn’t like Maggie cause she’s not hot enough to bang up…did it ever occur to anyone that it’s the acting that counts, not how beautiful she is? Oh wait, these are young MEN talking!
This franchise has been revitalized so well. Katie Holmes was kind of vacant but Maggie. Ug. I hope they can keep this thing fresh. They have so much great material to pull from. Hopefully the studio execs who wish they could write don’t poke their head into future scripts.

… Christian Bale looks older because -let me think… he IS older? I mean, time goes by, doesn’t it? And well, he looks slimer, ok, but I don’t think that’s too bad as long as he still acts like the Batman. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is something we can never see in still photos.
The Joker. We’re speaking of a realistic approach to the Batman universe. A full-time white-skinned Joker would NEVER look realistic, and everyone would end saying “It looks fake”, as it happened to Nicholson’s Joker. So this time we have a Joker who already IS suposed to look fake. He puts that make-up on because he wants to, he is not crazy because of that accident that turned his skin white and his lips red… he paints his skin white and his lips red BECAUSE he is crazy. Of course this will not be something everyone will like, but anyway… we’re not going to see if Heath Ledger can be the Joker until he find him acting, and that is something we can never see in still photos (again).
And about Maggie Gyllenhaal… ok, her face looks like a muffin, but for me it’s a change for good. I mean, Katie Holmes?? Oh, please. I didn’t realize I liked the CHARACTER of Rachel Dawes until I thought of her WITHOUT Katie Holmes’s face attached! Her performance was far from good, so at least we’re going to see something different. And of course, we’re never going to know how she will do until we see her acting… and that’s something we’ve already talked about, isn’t it? :P

Christian Bale is so hot! I love him in his role from the Batman Begins! Hopefully this film will be just as good as Begins.
I’m very interested to see this installment of Batman! I have seen the movie crew filming all around Chicago. For that matter in the building where I am now, they have taken over my office building. I’ll try and sneek some more pictures for you all to see and send them to Jared. I have seen lots of fake dumbies and one even hanging from the ceiling…sort of weird. I do have some pictures o GCP police cars and SWAT team.

This is Batman not citizen kane the movie and Batman’s women are hardly Oscar winners. Katie has class which Maggie knows nothing about.
Katie is still better than the rest of the other superhero chicks except Margot Kidder and Michelle Pheiffer.
So true Bale looks old for his age. Yes he is older in this movie but have you seen other actors in their 40’s? they are still hot and VF made a lists of actors in their 40’s who are way hotter than the 30’s. Batfans are worried how he will look for part 3.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is beautiful. Much nicer than your typical blonde *****. Plus she’s an amazing actress. Secretary was one of the best female roles ever played.
