Aishwarya Rai Films ‘Pink Panther 2′
Dressed in a trench coat and metallic Christian Louboutin peep-toes, Aishwarya Rai films scenes for Pink Panther 2 in Paris on Monday.
Rai plays one of the detectives alongside Alfred Molina. The pair joins forces with French police detective Jacques Clouseau, played by Steve Martin, to catch the thief who has been stealing artifacts around the world.
During film breaks, Aishwarya, 33, hung around the set with hubby-of-four-months Abhishek Bachchan.
Slowly by surely, Rai is making her way through Hollywood. She has an even bigger role in her next film Singularity, a war drama co-starring Brendan Fraser.

#11 - Ashwairya was a “Miss World”, not “Miss Universe”. The latter is a much more prestigious and better known beauty contest.
I think there’s nothing wrong with her nose, it’s beautiful, she is amazingly gorgeous, a beauty you don’t see in hollywood where women are all the same and if you wanna know…that’s horrible!!! Barbies are not funny for the real world, that’s just for kids to play, in real world we appreciate a true beauty with no surgeries….this is one!!! she’s awesome and no one can deny it!!!

But she is pretty. JMO. Don’t like her Snozz ,,too witchy poo shaped. Her face is like a little cute bug..The Lebonese singer is much more beautiful.JMO.

Aishwarya has no British blood in her. She is 100% South Indian. There are plenty of Indians with blue/green eyes. It is not uncommon. My father and I both have blue/green eyes and we have no British blood. It came from the Aryans from Persia or Alexander The Great’s army, that’s why you can see some Pakistani’s with blonde hair and blue eyes.
@Stella: Actually Miss World is the older and more prestigious competition with more countries competing in it. Miss Universe is just more popular, especially here in North and South America. BTW, India’s Sushmita Sen (sp?) won Miss Universe that same year that Aishwarya won Miss World.
Yay for Ash! I’m Indian-American, and I love her, and I’m so glad that she’s becoming more known here in the US and the West in general! And you should put some more stuff on Sendhil (AKA Suresh from Heroes) here because he is HOT! Haha…
She look pretty, but does her husband follow her everywhere.
I want to add that… her eye are “stunning” but the rest of her face is just pretty. I don’t think she is the most beautiful woman, I have seen other Indian actress and they look just as or more prettier then Rai. Also the Late Gene Tierney or Jaclyn Smith are much more prettier then Rai.Plus Rai has a hook nose and her neck is has rolls like Kimora Simmons.
It’s not only Indian and Pakistani people who can have bright eyes and fair complexions. Afghanistan is known for the green eyes, red hair and fair skin that many have. I myself am from Afghanistan and my skin is the colour of snow in the winter and a pale beige in summer and I have greyish green eyes. And I agree, british colonialism has little if anything to do with the group of ‘pale’ asians. It goes back further than that. To the time of Alexander the great.
ash is definetly one of the most beautiful women in the world. she is more beautiful than Jolie. you cant compare the two because aishwarya’s beauty is breathtaking and Jolie is no where in Aishwarya’s league!

i think she is beautiful, i also like how she keeps her morals (no kissing, no nudity) she is a pretty good actress, i liked bride and prejudice, it was a cute film. I do wish that she and lead male character would’ve kissed though, you just wanted them to. lol
I know angelina jolie is very pretty, but can we not compare the two women, they are different types of beauty/sex appeal, and these two women have different appeals, both are beautiful and different. both have pretty eyes
It’s odd, but everytime I hear about how Asians/Indians discriminate between the fair and dark skinned, i think of blacks in the US, they do that here also, and i’m a very fair skinned black woman so i know first hand

Aishwarya is simply gorgeous. Yes, there are other beautiful Indian women too, but credit has to be given where it’s due. Aishwarya is a stunning ambassador-ess for India, in all respects: looks, intellect, morals and ambition. I don’t understand the references to the ‘hook nose’ and stuff! Can’t people be individual anymore? What is a ‘perfect’ nose anyway, one that’s sculpted by a Plastic Surgeon?

She’s beautiful, and nice to look at but as an actress, not only does she lack any abilities in indian movies but so does she in any hollywood movies she has done so far. That’s evident from any reviews you would see of her in movies like ‘Provoked’ and/or ‘The last region’ …but yeah I’ve seen her climb up the ladder to stardom and fame by being called ‘The most beautiful woman in the world’ …so if this worked I wouldn’t be THAT surprised. On a more positive note, As an Indian myself I’m proud of seeing her on another level of success. Especially for Indian females, which alot of we dont see. So my hats off to the girl for getting to be where she is at. God Bless
Incidentally I have to agree with “Auntie” India is a wonderfully diverse Continent/Country. A unique tapestry of hues, very animated. For us Indians, Aishwarya Rai looks are not especially unique however beautiful, her facial characteristics are distinctively Indian (you have to be Indian to recognize that)
But in the West she is considered very different/exotic because most Indian women are not fair complected with green/blue eyes but still very beautiful.
(My Mom’s brother has blue/gray eyes).
As far as Pink Panther is concern. I think Ash is a pro now on the filming scene and will do well with Pink Panther. However, she’s arguably not the best actress out there but has integrity as an entertainer and that is appealing. not to mention she has a excellent Hollywood agent and her husband is a Bachchan!
