Aishwarya Rai Films ‘Pink Panther 2′
Dressed in a trench coat and metallic Christian Louboutin peep-toes, Aishwarya Rai films scenes for Pink Panther 2 in Paris on Monday.
Rai plays one of the detectives alongside Alfred Molina. The pair joins forces with French police detective Jacques Clouseau, played by Steve Martin, to catch the thief who has been stealing artifacts around the world.
During film breaks, Aishwarya, 33, hung around the set with hubby-of-four-months Abhishek Bachchan.
Slowly by surely, Rai is making her way through Hollywood. She has an even bigger role in her next film Singularity, a war drama co-starring Brendan Fraser.

I adore this lady. She looks great, but we don’t hear much of her, is she media shy?
So hopefully my comment here will address everything that I have read so far…
The girl has green eyes, and it’s pretty common in India, more for people in the north, but technically Aishwarya Rai is from the south. Go figure.
For those of you insulting her nose, get off of your high horse and stop being jealous. If it’s not her nose, then all of you will say something about her smile, or her ears, or her cheeks. The girl is gorgeous, and that’s that. Let it be and stop dissecting every single detail and being so negative. Enjoy the fact that we can admire a person’s stunning looks.
Her reasons, at least as I have read, for not doing as many “American” films is because of scheduling conflicts. In regards to the Bond film, she was in talks but it was at the time when it was thought that Pierce Brosnan was still going to do another film, and not Daniel Craig. At the time she was stating that she would not kiss a man on film, HOWEVER, that has changed. In the movie Dhoom 2, she kissed one of her co-stars, Hrithik Roshan. The funny thing is that her now-husband is in the film, yet she did not kiss him.
The reason why the US has not seen much of her is not because she’s media shy. She just hasn’t done as many US/American films. What I find surprising is that the entire world knows about Bollywood and are avid fans, yet the US as a whole knows nothing about Bollywood. The reason why some Americans supposedly do not like Bollywood is because they are all musicals, yet films like Chicago and High School Musical are big successes. A little hypocritical, don’t you think?

Okay. Let’s face it. She is gorgeous.
The only thing she lacks is her sex appeal(though I really do not think it matters much in this film). Anyhow she was really hot in Dhoom 2.

I am from India and if you look at Aishwarya’s career abroad she does deserve it-but let’s face it again- she got into Hollywood only because she has a pretty face-not because of anything else. Hence, she’s got something Hollywood desperately needs-a beautiful,elegant and pretty sexy looking woman. Let me elaborate.
She has done about 40 Bollywood films in the past decade or so and most of her films were mediocre.
The best ones were- Raincoat,Jeans,Guru,Taal,Chokher Bali(!!) and Dhoom2. She was also okay in Devdas(though that was more of glamour than real acting).
It depends on her DIRECTOR. If she has a good director-BANG But if her director turns out to be an idiot who really cannot see Aishwarya then I would certainly say she would do a lousy job(like in Bride And Prejudice-TOTAL FLOP). Though Gurinder Chadha did a brilliant job in Bend It like Bekham, she was not able to understand Aishwarya’s acting skills really well.
I saw The Last Legion. It was considerable good. I mean most said that as her body was sculpted she deserved the role at that particular time.
Pink Panther 2 will definetly be a good film(or let us say it will). Her skin looks incandescent and her eyes represent the sea. She has the hair as well as the beauty. She does have some brains….but I feel it is more of a show than something she really feels-I feel she is a bit plastic in real life.
She does look attractive here. This is the best I’ve ever seen her dressed. Hollywood makeup artists and costume people suit her. I still don’t think she’s stunning. Kind of plain and boring. It’s her cheeckbones that make her attractive. I don’t think her features are that great. People drool because her eyes are light. Big deal. If you could see the exquisite women in India. They’re amazing. But, I guess you got to start somewhere. I feel like I’m in the 1940’s, where the most whitified person of a race is given a chance and is considered extremely beautiful. Sad, really. Also on the part of Indians who catapulted her to stardom, such low self esteem. I’m Indian American, so please don’t tell me what I’m talking about. If you’re going to tell me that a light skinned person with light eyes in India is not considered gorgeous, over a truly exotic classic dark skin woman, you’re lying. But, I do give props when they are due. She looks great here and the Last Legion. Still don’t like her eyes though, too bulgey for my tastes. But, good luck to her! She doesn’t seem to need it. :-)
Please see Rekha, she was the big star in India before Rai. Actually I think they picked Rai because there were some similarites in the nostrils and cheekbones. Earlier movies they made her look like Rekha. But, man she was and is still stunning and classic. But, I guess she is too exotic for the masses. Dunno? Makes Rai look like a plain Jane. Also she’s very humble, the truly beautiful ones always seem to be unlike Rai.

I saw her on Letterman. She was so haughty and fake. The way she laughed was so annoying. I don’t know why Indians go crazy for her. She doesn’t even look Indian. She looks middle eastern. I don’t find her beautiful. Her face is very doll like. I have seen many Indian women who are far more beautiful than her. The writer Arundhati Roy or Rai was so beautful in her young days.

Okay, i really dont appreciate the comments about skin color issues. i’m indian and speak from personal experience, north indians are normally fair skinned, therefore, they are usually the ones in Hindi movies. and south indians are usually more darker skinned and have darker eyes, and i am south indian. if u watch any south indian movies, you will find a lot of actresses and actors with darker skin. i know there are some issues with being light skinned, but its not as bad as some ppl are making it out to be.
and someone said something about abishek being overprotective so he is hanging around her at the set, no he’s not, they’ve only been married a few months, give the guy a break. he only wants to spend some time with his wife, the two of them are ALWAYS filming for one more or other
i’m not a big aishwarya fan, but i’m glad she’s putting another indian face into american television / movies
i forgot to mention, she is south indian, but fair skinned, so just to clear up, there are other fair skinned south indians not just her….
