OlderJennifer Aniston: Marley & Me
Jennifer Aniston has fetched herself a new role in Marley & Me, an adaptation of John Grogan’s bestselling memoir about an incorrigible Labrador retriever.
David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) will direct, Owen Wilson will co-star and production will commence in 2008.
According to Variety, “Marley is the yellow lab adopted by Grogan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife. Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family.”
Aniston, 38, also scored herself a small role in He’s Just Not That Into You, an ensemble comedy based on the best-selling book that is a social commentary about modern-day relationships and how men and women often misconstrue the intentions of the opposite sex.
Ken Kwapis (License to Wed) will direct, production will star early September in L.A. and Drew Barrymore is producing via her Flower Films production company.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Aniston will play a woman in a long-term relationship with a boyfriend who will not commit to marriage.”
The film also stars Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Justin Long, Ginnifer Goodwin and Barrymore.

Why can’t this thread just be about Jen and stop bringing Angie and Brad into it, same goes for the Angie and Brad thread. When is this crap ever gonna end…geez it’s so damn fking boring. That saying, Jen seriously needs to start branching out a bit more and stop making these cheesy romantic comedys. I liked the Good Girl, and that movie proves that she has potential. And, I just saw the pics of Jen on a raft with Court. Did I miss something, did she have a baby and brest fed, because her breast are seriously hanging.

JA is cute and funny. It takes a hell of a lot more talent to do comedy than it does to do drama or action. Anyone will tell you that. The funny thing is that both JA and AJ tend to play to ‘type’. JA plays the sweet, lovable goofball and AJ plays the sex/adrenaline-addicted, crazy hard*ss. One is not better than the other; they’re just different. AJ won an oscar playing herself, essentially, in Girl Interrupted. They both keep trying to break out of their molds, but neither have been particularly successful doing it.
So she is playing Rachel in one role and Rachel is the other role. What a stretch

I’m just glad to read that the storyline for this movie “Marley and Me” is different than the others. And for the record I agree with Cookie….Jennifer Aniston being able to out-act Angelina Jolie is preposterous..because Jenn can’t out act alot of actors including…Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Catherine Keener, Scarlett Johnasson, and the list goes on.
Also, many believe (including myself) and some know like Ocean’s 13 actors…that Brad and Angelina are secretly married…and this does happen in H-Wood ask (Janet Jackson, married for 19yrs secretly).
Notice that Brad did not file to adopt Pax; only the name change

YUP, Mangelina is very afraid of Karma. She is staving herself.
Although she looks good in this picture, it’s the only picture of her that i’ve seen that does look good. Yes she was good as Rachel but really that’s where her acting abilities end. She could never do the range of “Girl Interrupted”. Sinna is right though why do AJ and JA always get linked. Brad made his choice and it appears to be a good one for him. Jennifer appears to be a neurotic clingy hanger on with very little talent. I’m sure she’ll hook onto Owen and sap him dry too with her neurosis and clinging.
Most of Jen’s movies have sucked at the box office.
I am not a JA hater, but I can understand why she is still in love with BP –I was just browsing in of the magazines (I think it was people) and it had all her former beaus before BP, and believe it or not, BP IS THE MOST HANDSOMEST GUY OF THEM ALL.

If they were legally married Pax would have had the Pitt last name to begin with. Vietnam let only Angelina adopt Pax because Brad and her were not married. And if they got married after, he would still have to adopt Pax. Getting married doesn’t mean you automatically adopt the other persons children.
Marley & Me is a wildly successful book, and pet lovers will flock to see the movie. Congrats to Jen as she further becomes America’s sweetheart… something a certain anorexic child collector will never be.
