OlderBrad Pitt Goes Global Green — Part II
Here’s the second batch of Brad Pitt pictures (Part I here) from Global Green USA’s first house project at the Holy Cross Neigborhood association project in New Orleans’s hard-hit Ninth Ward District in Louisiana.
“There’s so much of this culture here that is unlike any other city that we have,” he said. “It’s a feeling that I can’t quite explain, but I love being a part of it.”
Continued Brad, “It’s hard to find an overall victory when you see how slowly everything is still moving. And Katrina was a man-made disaster. This house is a man-made solution.”
“We knew we couldn’t bring back the families and friends that were lost, bring back the heirlooms, the pictures,” Pitt added. “But maybe, in the process of rebuilding, we could build something smarter, and create a better way of life for those people who live here.”

I am loving them (Brad & Ange) more & more each day. Their philanthropic works really gives them much credibility & sense of awareness. The haters can just rant all they want & it will not change my perception for Brad & Ange. They truly making a difference in a world full of hatred & indifference.

He sounds very happy and content with fatherhood. Just like Matt Damon, I think these guys are really enjoying having kids and a family to go home to at the end of a day. His face speaks volumes about his happiness, he doesn’t even need to say a word.

It’s so incredibly exciting to see how passionate and incredibly sexy he is as he talks about something he truly cares about. I love that thin t-shirt he’s wearing, leaves not much to the imagination….just the way I like it.

I am doing great. In fact, I am really in a very good mood today. I finished work early. We got a little bit of rain this evening & a bit on the cool side which is fine with me after weeks of dreadful muggy/humid weather. Finally a relief.
I saw the onslaught of the haters on the previous thread. It’s shameful that after ALMOST 3 years the haters are still doing their own brand of hatred tactic. We know them already & the funny thing, they all come at the same time. Isn’t that too obvious? And majority of them all have new names on every thread.
Anyways, I am so glad to hear that our dear Angie & their broods are all in the Big Easy.

I don’t cry easily, but I almost cried when I listen to him speaking,especially when he said this is a house with dignity. That was so powerfully beautiful. All of this passion encased in that beautiful frame. To think HW was just trying to relagate him to just being a hunk. As Angie said no one bothered to ask him anything. They just assumed he was just another pretty face. Peace

I saw Brad on Access Hollywood. He seems to really love living in NO. I have a feeling they have found their homebase in the US. Now they just have to find one outside the states.

4 Q I agree with you. Most government officals, and others are sitting on their asses waiting for the mother ship to come and bring them something. I do believe local citizens were on the board. I remember seeing pictures and reading articles. No someone is doing something and here they come out of the woodwork with their negative comments. The design losers are saying their designs were better. Sounds like sour grapes to me. I honestly believe once people see how much money they can save on electric, water and heating they will start to appreciate the houses. Also once the project is finished and trees are planted and sidwalks are in it will look better. Those old shotguns houses were not energy efficient. Everyone can ***** and complain. Few will step up to the plate and try to help. Now those who want to bash Angie and Brad have a new topic. But I bet they/he will receive more praise from enlighted and informed people. And also from those residents who will be lucky enough to receive a money, and energy saving house than those who want to find fault. Hell if people don’t like it, sell/give me one. During the winter when your heating bill is cut by 75% they will sing the praises of this modern design. If you don’t do anything you don’t hear complaints, but you don’t receive praise either. Take a risk and sure as hell you will recieve both. I am glad he took the risk. He will be blessed. He is blessed. Peace.

They have both said how much they like NOLA. They can be there for days and no sighting of them until they emerge like Brad did today. Happy for them whenever they can have some peace and quiet in their lives.
Great news that Brad has other plans for NOLA. Also must thank Home Depot Foundation for their assistance with this project. These efforts in NOLA can serve as a model to be reproduced elsewhere.

Sheesh, that man be mighty fine looking! It is so nice to see him so committed to his project. We who love the JPs are just inspired by their nonstop doing good for those who need help the most.
So Angie and the kids might be with him in NOLA, and then they are going to the Hamptons in NY? Hmmm, where are those who have been posting that they are separating, that because Brad left Chicago earlier than Angelina and the kids that he has left his family for good? Ha ha! They have slunk away with their tails between their legs, but they will be back another day to post their bilious messages. But we can ignore them and just enjoy the wonderful family that is the JPs.

Hey that long time away from JJ’s was actually wonderful. I can either make fun of them in general and then stay out of it since they make no sense at all.
They are just rambeling away about the same old same old. Of course there are ‘troll kids’ around 10 to 12 years old sending one liners just to disrupt the thread :-)
Anywho please post more often, I like to postat nights better since I’m not a morning person plus some of the kids go to sleep ;-). Nice to hear from you :-)
