Older‘Ugly Betty’ DVD Release Party
Co-stars America Ferrara, Mark Indelicato and Christopher Gorham get chummy at LA’s SkyBar on Monday during the DVD Launch of Ugly Betty: The Complete First Season (The Bettyfied Edition).
The Ugly Betty DVD set is a real jewel (in stores today). Of course the best features are the Deleted Scenes and Blooper Reel!!!!!!!!
America (in Nanette Lepore) has admitted, “I crack up the most, and I am kind of useless when I am behind the camera if anybody else is in front of the camera, because if they are doing something funny, I can’t contain it. I am the worst. I make them do like 50 takes.” America also wore an Etro sweater, Christian Louboutin shoes and Kaviar and Kind jewelry.

For you that say America should diet:
You never watched the show, but you should. You need life lessons and the show can teach that to you. The show is about who you are, about being good, kind, beatiful in you own way, not about being skinny, eskeletic, anorexic or bulimic. The show is about having ethics, not being like a eskeleton.
That said, America is beatiful, looks healthy and most important, she looks happy. And you look miserable talking about people needing diet. Get a life and do a diet yourserlf.
Actually I was at this event last night and anyone saying America needs to diet is crazy, she is very petite around a size 4 and nicely curved. And one of the nicest actors I have ever met. She spent at least 5-10 minutes talking to fans.
A size 4? I was thinking more of a size 6 or 8, but whatever. A size 6 or 8 is still small and petite in my book. She’s amazing and beautiful. I absolutely love the show and the diversity is a plus! It’s lovely having a show that you can finally relate to! Love ya America!
Umm, actually, judging from America’s arms, her BMI is probably hovering around the “overweight” category, which is by no means healthy. Calling overweight people “healthy” sends the wrong message too, you know. It seems that American society is now juxtaposed on two extremes, the anorexic/bulimic models and overweight actresses who do not represent healthiness.
“Sexy mama” you are speking from a picture, I have meet her in person and I am telling you that she is in no way overweight. Even my friend who I had brought as my guest was quite surprise at hoe small she is in person. Half the women at the event look like they needed sandwiches. Rebecca Romjin is also a lot thinner in person but not sickly looking! Does this mean her BMI is hovering around underweight since she is so slim?

Regarding her weight.. She’s lost sh!tloads since Real women have curves.. So she is healthier.. Is she the healthiest she could be? I think not.. In fact, I think she has put a few on during her break from filming Ugly Betty.. Maybe enjoying too much of the foodlife (oops I mean goodlife) in Europe whilst making sisterhood of the travelling pants 2..
Yes she might be smaller in person than what appears in the photos.. But if she is supposedly so ‘petite’ framewise, I think that losing some weight wouldn’t do her any harm.. Whether she does or not, is up to her.. She seems to be a happy and confident woman regardless of her weight.. As long as she’s happy, I’m happy.. haha.. How’s that for sitting on the fence?
