Brad Pitt and NBC News’ Ann Curry chat up his efforts to bring green design (eco-friendly building and development) to Katrina-devasted city of New Orleans. Brad, who owns a home with Angelina Jolie in the French Quarter of New Orleans, continually offers support to green building in the region.
“It’s about dignity,” Brad said during his exclusive interview. “You look around, the first thing that gets sacrificed in affordable housing is lights, ventilation. You see here we got great light. There’s windows everywhere.”
While sowing the green affordable housing, Brad added, “There is this great breeze coming in they’re here. All– all the materials here are nontoxic. And I think, for the family that’s going to be here, especially being a father that it’s got to feel good to know that he’s giving his family a better way of life.”

There is this great breeze coming in they’re here. All– all the materials here are nontoxic. And I think, for the family that’s going to be here, especially being a father that it’s got to feel good to know that he’s giving his family a better way of life.
That he’s able to contribute that way. Not only that, this house does not poison the environment. It’s respectful to the– to the people who will be here after. It’s very simple. There’s not, you know, most of the building strategy here is– is using techniques that have been around a long time….There’s very little new technology in here…. It’s just, you know, making us be aware of it. Teaching ourselves. And implementing it.
ANN CURRY:
Two things come to mind. First– as a man who makes movies, who has a wealthy life, to speak about what a father, who does not have those things, is able to give his children.
BRAD PITT:
Well, again, I think it’s–
ANN CURRY:
It says something about–
BRAD PITT:
It’s a justice issue. You know– I mean what we saw Katrina is that there is a portion of our society that’s being overlooked. And– and so– in the aftermath, we’re not going to be able to bring back the friends and family that are lost.
We’re not going to be able to bring back their heirlooms and their photographs. But maybe, this is a question we presented, maybe we can provide a better way of life. Maybe we can find some good out of this. And that has to deal with justice and fairness. And– and what I think this place proves is that this technology, that this healthier way of life, this better way of life, is applicable to all economic levels.
ANN CURRY:
When you say justice and fairness, what you’re saying is that everyone, no matter what their income level, deserves an opportunity to have a healthy life.
BRAD PITT:
Absolutely.
ANN CURRY:
Deserves an opportunity to have a place where their children can grow up healthy and happy…
BRAD PITT:
Absolutely.
ANN CURRY:
…with sunlight, and outdoor space.
BRAD PITT:
That’s right. And they don’t have to be subjected to the bottom end of materials. Materials that– that are developed for profit. And we’re becoming more and more aware of these materials. And I think we’ll see a big movement away from that, and– and to a healthier– healthy materials as this house….
You see that FEMA trailer over there. It’s ripe with formaldehyde. That trailer that people are having to stay in is poisoning them, even as we speak.

I think it’ll be a big topic in the upcoming elections.
ANN CURRY:
Has it been enough of a topic?
BRAD PITT:
No, it hasn’t been enough. No, it hasn’t been enough.
ANN CURRY:
What makes you believe it will be?
BRAD PITT:
But we’ll be forced to. We’ll be forced to. And, as you see, we’re reading more and we’re learning more, and more is coming out. I mean, and I think this’ll be a big topic.

You know, this talk about the money that’s– that’s needed now to make this right. And– I just want to point out, there was $80 billion in damages from Katrina. A hundred and fifty if you count lost revenue. And that could have all been avoided with a little attention to– to the situation here. And this is an important city. It’s important to us culturally.
It’s also an important city to us economically. What remaining oil that– our– 30 percent of our oil is– comes through New Orleans. That we– as we make this shift away from oil, we’re going to rely more and more on.
And there is this responsibility to correct that. And– my– my worry is that it’s just– we’re setting up people here. This doesn’t get attended to, we’re going to set people up here for another disaster, if not a bigger disaster. So I– I see a great responsibility.
ANN CURRY:
You sound like you’re speaking not just to somebody who’s coming from the outside, looking, as you have before last year, I remember talking to you about this. And you’re coming in and you’re looking at it and saying, “This is not right.” It sounds like you’re now speaking as a New Orleans resident.
BRAD PITT:
I know a lot of the people here. I care very much for the area. I met a 60 year old man who– when I first arrived here to look into this. And– he said, “I– I did everything right. I got a job. I bought a home. I raised my kids in that home. They did the same. Now my kids are– well, one kid’s in Atlanta, another one’s in Houston. We’re all split apart and– and we’ve been wiped out.”…
ANN CURRY:
Because of the storm…
BRAD PITT:
…”What do I do? What do I do?” And he’s right. And that’s unacceptable. So any debate on– on should we rebuild, should we not—I’ll take you on.
ANN CURRY:
‘Cause you’re looking at that guy’s face.
BRAD PITT:
That’s right. That’s right.
ANN CURRY:
He deserved better.
BRAD PITT:
That’s right.

I’m going to read you a quote. Brad, last year, you said, “If done properly, we can completely get rid of the idea of an energy bill. It’s not that difficult.”
BRAD PITT:
Yeah, I mean that’s the goal. The idea that we pay utility bills is absolutely unnecessary. And I mean there’s the sun. It’s right there to be harnessed. You feel the breeze that’s been created here. And we got water right out there.
Any one of these can be harnessed. And we can integrate ourselves into that ecosystem. And not only power our houses, but actually produce energy for other parts of the city. So that was the goal here. This particular house is– the family that will live here will save 75 on their– an energy bill. Which is a huge saving for any of us.
But especially dealing with affordable housing. And, it’s something I’m very proud of. I consider it a breakthrough. Also, 50 percent on your water bills.
ANN CURRY:
That’s a big deal to you, why?
BRAD PITT:
It’s a big deal.
ANN CURRY:
Why? Why do you care so much?
BRAD PITT:
Because it’s simple. It’s smart. It’s the way we have to be thinking. There’s a lot of problems in the world right now because of our dependency on oil.
This makes sense. This is the direction we should have been heading in a long time ago.
And so little steps like this– I’m proud of it because it helps create a dialogue. It brings more knowledge and puts in– puts these ideas into practice. There’s a lot of people doing it, and we’re happy to be a part of it.

brad is really a good person and a great father..his children is very lucky to have him and for angelina..she is very lucky..
They are both lucky to have found each other. They are in the same page when it concerns giving help AND getting involved in projects with their time and/or money, relations, ect.
It’s really great having a partner who shares most of your dreams and values and is there to support you and your projects. It’s two times more rewarding and fulfilling to achieve something that’s worth it when with a partner that stimulate your endeavours and is proud of your achievments.

Not only did they make a mark on Our Town — Chicago kind of made a permanent mark on them as well.
Seems longtime tattoo devotee Jolie and Pitt treated themselves to more tattoos while the actress was here filming ”Wanted.”
According to a good source, an artist for the Chicago Tattooing Co. on West Belmont slipped up to the 18th floor of the Peninsula Hotel and spent the better part of a day needling not only Angelina and Brad, but also some members of their staff and security team.
The couple’s children were left out as they are below the legal age for tattooing in Illinois.
When I called Chicago Tattooing owner Nick Colella to confirm all this — and hopefully learn details about the couple’s new tattoos — he politely, but very firmly, refused to comment on the ”Brangelina” inking story.
”I can’t say anything,” said the tattoo titan.
But, just as we were hanging up, Colella did ask, ”Who called you about this?”

I was on a panel with the winner of the Global Green Competition, Matthew Berman from Workshop/APD. I presented the Katrina Cottages as well as a house I designed at the UDA Treme/LaFitte charrette. In my talk I discussed the feedback we’d received from the residents of Treme/LaFitte. We heard from them that they liked the look of the Shotguns, but wanted the plans be adapted to modern living and they had to be practical and affordable.
After we each presented our work we had a Q&A with the audience. [size=18]The members of the audience that were from New Orleans, passionately attacked the “award winning” Global Green design. They were outraged that this project had been selected. They were upset that it had no resemblance to the existing neighborhood, either with the architecture or the plan. One woman stood up and explained to the architect that the “Historic” buildings weren’t old and out dated. They were REALLY well designed, NOT because of the balustrades, brackets and architectural details, but because of the tall ceilings, cross ventilation and the materials. She was great because she elevated the conversation away from style to practical common sense.
The residents in the room were disgusted that modern designs were being imposed on them. The architect admitted that the residents that he had spoken to didn’t like the modern designs, but that didn’t stop him from proceeding with his work. [u]It seemed more about his personal design exploration, rather than a project based in reality or any form of practicality. [/u]The amazing thing about the day was that no one in the room, NOLA residents or even the SLC students, were buying it - or cutting him any slack. [/size]
One resident pointed out that the architecture could either support or destroy a community. From the planning of where buildings go to the interior plans of where the kitchen is located. He went on to tell the architect of the GG Design that his building would destroy the community and probably cause people to kill themselves.
The professor at the school that was moderating our panel tried to let the guy off the hook by asking the audience if they could set aside the site plan, which he admitted was really bad, but looked only at the buildings, would they be happier with the designs, the room spontaneously yelled out NO.
Then he went on to try and talk about the theory and academic approach of the modern design, I interrupted and challenged that this was a real world problem not an academic experiment, that it was the wrong approach to ignore the existing context and the desires of the people. Instead we needed to listen to what people are asking for and through design, build communities. The room erupted in applause. The professor went on to dismiss me by saying “Well yes, that might be the populous view, but….”
We have so many struggles in the work we are doing down on the coast, politics at every level, but after a day like today, hearing the passion in the voices of these residents, it was so clear how important it is that we are down there and working so hard. The people want what we are doing.
Where is my favorite family. Hope they are all together in NO. Or perhaps waiting in NY for Daddy.

We didn’t want to believe the break-up rumors about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. When they first came to town they truly seemed happy and our sources did not tell us otherwise. However, that changed by their second week in Chicago. Some of our reliable sources told us information last week that leads us to think there may be some truth to the rumors.
We did hear from several sources that Pitt and Jolie have been fighting a lot. They told us they have been arguing about the kids, her weight and other life decisions. Some of our sources even go so far to say that they have already broken up and when they do spend time together it’s for their children.
People on the “Wanted” set thought it was strange that Pitt never came to visit her on the set once the whole two weeks she filmed in Chicago. Pitt has visited her on her other movie sets and even on the Prague “Wanted” set. Her oldest children Maddox and Pax regularly visited her on the set as well. No Pitt though.
Also, Jolie and Pitt spent very little alone time together in Chicago. The couple only emerged together without their children twice. The first time was to eat dinner at Japonais restaurant two Saturdays ago and then once to dine at Avenues with a group from “Wanted”. At Japonais the pair seemed distant and stoic at first, according to eyewitnesses. However, by the end of the night, after all the reporters, fans and paparazzi arrived, they were acting affectionate toward each other.
When the Boots Girls met Jolie she seemed sad and exhausted.
We hope that they can work their problems out and stay together though!
The couple is scheduled to attend a fundraiser dinner soon in the Hamptoms, according to E! online.

NEW ORLEANS — Calling Hurricane Katrina a “man-made disaster,” actor Brad Pitt said Tuesday he remains committed to helping the city recover from the storm.
Nearly two years after the Aug. 29, 2005 hurricane, the “Ocean’s Thirteen” star said he was at times dismayed by the pace of recovery in New Orleans, where he and partner Angelina Jolie own an elegant townhouse in the historic French Quarter.
Pitt was in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood to tour an ecologically sustainable single-family home being built by Global Green USA, an environmental group he backs.
The actor praised the house in the Holy Cross area of the ward as a “small victory” for efforts to rebuild the city, but said, “it’s hard to find an overall victory when you see how slowly everything is still moving. And Katrina was a man-made disaster. This house is a man-made solution.”
Pitt said the city’s flood-protection defenses must be restored before displaced residents feel confident enough to rebuild.
“We’ve got to push to get these levees taken care of in the correct fashion,” he told reporters at a news conference in the hurricane-ravaged working class neighborhood.
The house that Pitt toured, loosely modeled on the distinctive New Orleans “shotgun” style of long, narrow homes, will generate almost all its electricity from 28 roof-mounted solar panels, said Global Green USA president Matt Petersen.
Global Green hopes to use the house, which should be completed this fall, as a prototype for the neighborhood. Built not far from the banks of the Mississippi River and raised by three feet on concrete pilings, it is above sea level.
Some in the area, which was not as badly flooded as others in the city, are rebuilding. But a lack of funds have kept most from starting fresh.
Levee repairs are ongoing and engineers differ over how the new levees will fare in a major storm.
The environmental group has pledged to create a residential community of “green” structures, including an 18-unit, low-income apartment building near the Mississippi.
Pitt, 43, said the redevelopment project could help encourage people whose homes were destroyed in the storm to return and rebuild in a more environmentally conscious fashion.
“We knew we couldn’t bring back the families and friends that were lost, bring back the heirlooms, the pictures,” Pitt said. “But maybe, in the process of rebuilding, we could build something smarter, and create a better way of life for those people who live here.”

But, WHY did they not report ALL this stuff last week? If they were told all this last week, why not just report it right there and then? Why wait??? NEW ORLEANS - Brad Pitt toured the construction site of a house in the city’s Lower 9th Ward that is based on the winning design in a competition he launched to help the area recover from Hurricane Katrina.
Wearing khaki pants, T-shirt and hard hat, the 43-year-old actor walked through the house Tuesday, pointing out its many “green” features, including blue walls treated with a nontoxic repellant for mold and termites.
“There’s light coming in from all sides and a lot of ventilation,” said Pitt, standing in what will be the living room. “A lot of thought has gone into this house.”
The three-bedroom, single-family home is the first of five slated for the Holy Cross section of the Lower 9th Ward based on the winning design in a competition launched in 2006 by Pitt and the environmental organization Global Green USA.
The winning design, submitted by Matthew Berman and Andrew Kotchen of Workshop APD in New York, includes energy-saving appliances, a cistern, toilets designed for water conservation, soy-based insulation, paperless drywall, solar panels and a roof on the second-story deck designed to help insulate the house and channel water to the cistern.
The house is also designed to relieve some of the burden of bills for low-income families, the predominant residents of the Lower 9th Ward before Katrina. Pitt said electric bills will be cut by 75 percent; water use, by half.
Pitt and his partner, Angelina Jolie, purchased an early-1830s masonry mansion in the city’s French Quarter for $3.5 million in January.
“There’s so much of this culture here that is unlike any other city that we have,” he said. “It’s a feeling that I can’t quite explain, but I love being a part of it.”
He also expressed disappointment at the slow pace of recovery in much of the city.
Developers broke ground on the home in May and should be finished in the next few months. It will serve as a model home and visitor center while other houses are constructed. Plans also call for an 18-unit apartment complex and community center.
Global Green plans to sell the homes, giving preference to former residents of the neighborhood.

How about the simple lied. Made up the story. How hard is that to believe. They work for In Touch. It probably not the first nor last time they will made up a story.

We did hear from several sources that Pitt and Jolie have been fighting a lot. They told us they have been arguing about the kids, her weight and other life decisions. People on the “Wanted” set thought it was strange that Pitt never came to visit her on the set once the whole two weeks she filmed in Chicago. Washington, Aug 22: Brad Pitt firmly believes that America’s dependency on oil can be stopped if people harness the energy of sun, water and air.
The actor, who has been involved with the Global Green USA project that is attempting to rebuild New Orleans one green house at a time, insisted to NBC’s Ann Curry that half of America’s, and the world’s energy problems would be solved if they went green.
“The idea that we pay utility bills is absolutely unnecessary…There’s the sun. It’s right there to be harnessed. You feel the breeze that’s been created here. And we got water right out there. Any one of these can be harnessed…It’s simple. It’s smart,” usmagazine.com quoted him, as telling the host.
“It’s the way we have to be thinking. There’s a lot of problems in the world right now because of our dependency on oil,” he added.
The actor also insisted that New Orleans, left devastated by Hurricane Katrina, should definitely be rebuilt
“I know a lot of the people here. I care very much for the area. I met a 60 year old man who…said [to me], ‘I did everything right. I got a job. I bought a home. I raised my kids in that home. They did the same. Now…we’re all split apart and we’ve been wiped out…What do I do?’ And he’s right…that’s unacceptable. So any debate on ’should we rebuild, should we not’ — I’ll take you on,” he said.

Secondly, per the script, once the J-Ps are well out of earshot, the negative stories bubble up. Funny how the negative stories are preceded by the whining and disappointment of the ‘press’ who thought that the J-Ps would sprinkle the gold dust over these fools’ mundane existence. Maybe these idiots expected a public Oprah/Brad reconciliation; a Brad/Gwyneth run-in; an Angelina/Gwyneth slapdown; a VV/Brad run-in. At least the French had the stones to tell bold-faced lies while the J-Ps were in the vicinity.

I really hate to dub brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie limousine liberals. But after Pitt’s latest stunt it’s impossible not to do just that. Brad and Angelina fly all over the world on private jets. Just recently Pitt had avoided jury duty in California because he was out of the country (using a heavy fuel-burning private jet) watching Jolie work overseas. He was in Chicago, watching Angie work again and took a private jet to Los Angeles to finally show up and perform his civic duty.
He then took the private jet back to Illinois the same day. Just a few days ago, he took a private jet from Chicago to New Orleans. Jolie and the kids weren’t ready so they took another private jet later. All of this would be okay except now Brad wants to talk “green.”

I really used to like Brad but what a tool he has morphed into. He will interview with softball lobbing NBC’s Ann Curry this week. Here’s a taste of what Brad’s trying to sell. According to Us Weekly Magazine he will dish this on eventually eliminating America’s energy bills: “There’s a lot of problems in the world right now because of our dependency on oil.”
Say what? I wonder just how much Pitt and Jolie and his kids burn up in fuel when they fire up their jets. Save the lectures until you make some sacrifices Mr. Pitt. One wonders if he even recalls what it is like to fly commercial.
Have faith in Angie and Brad. We believe as true fans that these two have a deep love for each other, otherwise they will not be together.

I think Brad and Angelina are soulmates. The attraction and chemistry between them is so palatable, it’s like fire. When you see what kind of life Angelina was living when she met Brad, can you not see why he went gaga over her? A woman with such a purpose in life, he saw her mothering skills close up and he was probably starstuck at her beauty upclose. Angelina was a total contrast to what he had around him in his life at the time. Angelina was probably surprised that she fell hard for Brad. I watched your “interview” with Ann curry on the “Today” show this morning and it was difficult to understand what message you’re trying to get across. Your “noble” attempts at saving the world are too muddled to make sense with anything you do. Funny, you didn’t do too much until you met a woman who uses her position as a UN Goodwill Ambassador (or whatever the hell she is)strictly for her own personal gain. Seems to me you saw it as a great opportunity to get all the free press you can in order to promote yourself, but that’s actually beside the pont. What exactly are you trying to do? I know you want to help all the poor children of the world, but you need more focus. New Orleans just seems like a little project you’re taking on. We all know where you’ve been, and you haven’t been THERE. You buy a house and wastte energy to keep it livable for whenever you choose to return. That’s not very green of you. 4) Have you also noticed that in the waiting room, or the library, they only stock people magazine?
5) Have you noticed nobody buy NE or is ashamed to be seen holding a copy of NE? Those who buy are probalby the low income women who is cynical, and they’re low income. They have no impact on anything anyway.
In conclusion There will always be some lowlife mag like intouch who writes LIES. Just let intouch slowly morph into NE. It takes time and we just have to be patient.

Why anybody would complain about anyone no matter who they may be doing anything to help with the Katrina recovery efforts is beyond my comprehension. I was just there last month, and the devastation is just beyond belief. It goes on for miles and miles and miles. It is mindblowing that this was once a vibrant city that is now just hanging on by threads, trying to restore a semblance of what life there was. Most of the comments seem to be complaints about Brad’s personal life. What does that have to do with Brad’s efforts in NOLA? NOLA needs help and that is what Brad is doing. I thank him for his efforts.
By the way those complaining about green building, it is more expensive intially only because the federal government does not subsidize it like it does fossil fuel industries, but in the long run it is most economical and saves money. Why should only the wealthy be able to benefit from green building. These homes will benefit residents of the Lower 9th Ward, a poor area. No one can live completely green at this time but in the future green building will be a way of life. Brad and Global Green and Home Depot Foundation are forward thinkers, while some here are firmly stuck in the past.

Wearing khaki pants, a T-shirt and hardhat, Pitt walked through the partially constructed home, pointing out its many “green” features, including blue walls treated with a non-toxic repellant for mold and termites.
Standing in what will be the living room, Pitt noted the light and ventilation in the home. He said a lot of thought has gone into the project.
“We knew we couldn’t bring back the families and friends that were lost, bring back the heirlooms, the pictures. But maybe in the process of rebuilding, we could build something smarter — we could create a better way of life for the people who live there,” Pitt said.
The design, by Matthew Berman and Andrew Kotchen of Workshop APD in New York, includes energy-saving appliances, a cistern, toilets designed for water conservation, soy-based insulation, paperless drywall, solar panels and a roof on the second-story deck designed to help insulate the house and channel water to the cistern.
The house is also designed to relieve some of the burden of bills for low-income families. Pitt said electric bills will be cut by 75 percent; water use, by half.
“I understand the stats, and I understand the technology in what we were after. But I feel something much more different and much more personal when I walk through it, and that is: I feel the family that’s going to live there. And I understand that from a father’s perspective. And he’s going to know that his kids are living in a healthy environment,” Pitt said.
Developers broke ground on the home in May and should be finished in the next month or two.

When the rumors of Brad and Jen having problems started they weren’t spending time together even though their rep kept insisting they are happy, they go months without seeing each other.
Brad and Angie are almost always together, they don’t have to be if they can’t stand each other. If it is about the kids then they can always limit their get together to the kids. They go out of town together without their kids, they take bike rides together and they hang out with their kids together.

I remember in the movie MAMS, one of the conversation was, (John Smith) Brad said, in similar words, we’ll fight together, and not run away from them. That was the scene when they were lying on a sewer “crate” when both sides of their “employers” were chasing and plotting against them.
As for the movies, people watch a movie if it is interesting. Think about it, when the TBU was showing in theatres, your employer Aniston was on the height of the tabloid, yet it grossed far less than MAMS. Why? That is because TBU was boring, lack chemistry between VV and Aniston.
Therefore, get it into your head, Sam, people watch movies for entertaining reason, for a good laugh, for an interesting stories. Therefore, being on the tabloids may do some harm, but NOT enough to kill anything. In life, some or “imperfection” is okay, because life is NEVER .perfect.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are heading for the Hamptons but it’s not for a weekend of fun in the sun. The couple are hosting a dinner of about 50 people this Saturday night to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
According to an Usmagazine.com source, the expectation is that the guests will make an extremely large financial commitment to the project.
The dinner will take place at the home of producer Jane Rosenthal and her husband Craig Hatkoff.
Jolie, 32, and Rosenthal are friendly from working together on The Good Shepherd, which Rosenthal produced. Jolie also premiered her documentary, A Place in Time, at the Tribeca Film Festival, which Rosenthal helped co-found with Robert De Niro.
The couple is said to be traveling in and out by helicopter and not staying the weekend.

Pitt, 43, recently sat down with the Today show’s Ann Curry to discuss his involvement with the Global Green USA project, which is building zero energy, affordable housing for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The interview airs in two parts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Remember when he and Angie first got together? Haters were saying that he was going to turn into a “humanitarian”. This is said as if describing the worst form of humanity, murderer, rapist, war crime criminals. They would have preferred he continued shopping and tanning. Now is helping to rebuild New Orleans. This is humanitarianism to the ninth degree. Two of the most beautiful people in the world not content to sit and just be beautiful. If this doesn’t make the haters heads snap, crackle and pop nothing will.
I know everyone has noticed, Brad has become so confident. He speaks with such authority and passion. He doesn’t walk, he strides. He seems so manly, without seeming macho. He totally seems to be happy he has a family and especially children. The man has evolved into something special. If I were GP or X I would feel terrible. To think he had all of this in him and they couldn’t, didn’t reconize it. The so called good girls didn’t reconize what they had. But the so called dark and bad girl did. Hurrah for so called bad girls. I don’t idolize Brad and Angie. But I do respect, and appreciate, all that they do. They are the real deal. And the world is better because of them. Peace

susiegt: I actually laugh at this blog more than get angry…I was just posting that question to see what everyone thought…and I’m sorry if I consider my loved ones my actual family and friends (you know, the actual people that I know and encounter daily)…I can’t say I love anyone I haven’t met or know, celeb or not…and I’m not going to defend those who aren’t my immediate family and friends…Angie and Brad are a big girl and boy…they can defend themselves without your help…and what I meant by the prayers is that I’d rather pray for those in need rather than the celebs who live these pampered lives who happen to do goodwill work…there is a lot of ridiculous statements on this blog and of course I read it, hence I’m here aren’t I? But I take it literally as entertainment…there’s being a fan of someone (which is fine…I have been a fan of Angie’s movies since way before Brad- before Gia actually), but then there’s borderline obsession…I actually feel for Brad and Angie…they have zero privacy and have people 24/7 invading their space…this includes all the fans here who debate on topics they know little to nothing about besides the articles they read or the other gossip sources they hear…no one hear knows them for goodness sakes!!…all this mumbo jumbo people argue about is beyond pointless…like the Jen debate…this has been going on since the divorce and Brad and Angie got together…it seems like the only people who give a damn about it anymore are the people here and the tabloids…each one of them have moved on and people refuse to believe that…so anytime there’s an article, it’s automatically some conspiracy created by Jen to hurt the family…ridiculous…unless you know these people personally and have the exclusive inside story, stop the pointless arguments about who shot who…enjoy them as a fan should (appreciate their film work and their charity work), not behave as their stalkers (by claiming you all know exactly what is happening behind closed doors and have all the answers to this story or that)…they are people after all, not immortals…they have flaws like we all do and hurt as humans hurt…

Extra just announced that Brad, Angie and their children are all in NO. Now they are reporting on the invite only party in the Hamptons with some rich friends. Another reason to hate/fear them, if true, the have rich friends who might be willing to donate to help rebuild NO. Remember these are not the Cox/Arquette’s. In the past these were his friends. Angie had friends in Washington, and overseas. I remember reading an article suggesting that Brad might not be able to hang with Angie and her worldly friends. Now Brad has worldly, and rich friends. You know, I often visit this site and voice my opinions about what people are wearing, movie castings, etc. But it sure feels nice to visit a blog and learn alot more about the real issues of greater importance…like in NO. Again, I am very proud of Brad Pitt’s example to speak on such a cause. I am even inspired about his actions, as this is truely an example of making a contribution/leaving a legacy that your children and relatives can be proud of…and each of us can do this by joining groups like Junior Achievement, other civic groups that do more to help kids, adults, the environment, animals, etc.
I will consider Mr. Pitt’s example when I am working on several projects in the near future.
Brad is simply inspiring…
