Seems longtime tattoo devotee Jolie and Pitt treated themselves to more tattoos while the actress was here filming ”Wanted.”

According to a good source, an artist for the Chicago Tattooing Co. on West Belmont slipped up to the 18th floor of the Peninsula Hotel and spent the better part of a day needling not only Angelina and Brad, but also some members of their staff and security team.

The couple’s children were left out as they are below the legal age for tattooing in Illinois.

When I called Chicago Tattooing owner Nick Colella to confirm all this - and hopefully learn details about the couple’s new tattoos - he politely, but very firmly, refused to comment on the ”Brangelina” inking story.

”I can’t say anything,” said the tattoo titan.

But, just as we were hanging up, Colella did ask, ”Who called you about this?”

Does any one else find it very odd that angelina is on at least 2 tab covers a week. IN touch has had them on ever week for like 3 weeks already. It’s weird. For an ordinary person, inspecting a house you’re building is no big deal. Drive to the site, walk around inside, talk to the crew and the contractors and drive off, all within a few minutes. Your future neighbors probably won’t know you’ve even been there.

For Brad Pitt, everything is different. Forget about the low profile and the brief visit. Brad Pitt is, by definition, trailed by a gaggle of scribbling scribes, as well as cameras and boom mikes, so that his every step is documented and his every thought, on subjects ranging from ecologically friendly construction to the sluggish pace of New Orleans’ recovery, is recorded for posterity.

That was the scene Tuesday morning in the Holy Cross neighborhood when Pitt showed up to check on the first house in a project he has been helping with his money and with the power of his celebrity. Accompanied by neighborhood residents and representatives of Global Green USA, which is sponsoring the initiative, and the Home Depot Foundation, an underwriter, Pitt strolled through the two-story house, which will have solar panels that could reduce utility bills by 75 percent.

Pitt was familiar with the design because he led the jury that selected the architects, Matthew Berman and Andrew Kotchen of New York City. John Williams’ local architectural firm is the project manager.

When Pitt emerged to face reporters in an open-sided tent nearby, he pronounced himself pleased by what he saw. The 1,400-square-foot house is designed to be a prototype for affordable homes for people whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent flooding.

“Katrina was a man-made problem,” he said. “This is a man-made solution.”

The house, which will be a visitor center for the next year before going on the market, is the first of five that will be built on the grassy tract by the Mississippi River at Andry and Douglass streets, Global Green President Matt Petersen said.

Each house is expected to sell for about $175,000, he said.

Erecting a home that will be energy-efficient and durable is “a real victory,” Pitt said. “This is a house about beginnings.”

Everyone emphasized that such features are no longer reserved for the wealthy, but can be accessible to people with much less money.

“If we’re building, why wouldn’t we build that way?” Home Depot Foundation President Kelly Caffarelli said. “We need to build back stronger and better.”

Also scheduled to rise nearby are a community center and an 18-unit apartment complex. Each unit will have a river view, Petersen said, and will rent for $550 to $650 per month.

Barring another disaster like Katrina, everything should be up in a year, he said.

Criteria to determine who will be eligible to move in haven’t been established, but Petersen said he’d like to be able to offer them to people who want to return after Katrina drove them away.

This initiative, which backers hope to copy throughout the city, won’t be enough to lure everyone back, Pitt said, “but maybe, in rebuilding, we could build something smarter.”

Wearing a cap, pale-yellow T-shirt and white slacks and sneakers, Pitt was the obvious focus of the event, but he didn’t hog the attention, deferring to Petersen and local leaders.

Pam Dashiell, board chairwoman of the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association, grinned and waved from an open window when she toured the house with Pitt. When she spoke during the news conference, she was ecstatic about the cooperation with Global Green and Pitt, as well as Tulane University, the University of Colorado and Southern Illinois University, that had brought the project to this point.

“We’ve been through the worst, and we’re moving toward the best,” she said. “With friends like these, . . . we are on our way.”

Pitt tried to keep the event in perspective.

“It’s hard to claim overall victory when you see how slow everything is” in other storm-ravaged parts of New Orleans, he said.

Nevertheless, Pitt said he and his partner, Angelina Jolie, who was not present Tuesday, plan to continue living part time in New Orleans with their children.

“There’s so much of the culture that’s here, unlike any other city,” he said. “We can almost live a normal life here.”

Extra” has learned that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are hitting the Hamptons by helicopter this weekend for a cause that hits close to home: the devastation of New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina.

The superstar couple has a house in the French Quarter of the Big Easy, and Brad is on a mission to rebuild the city.

He told the “Today” show, “It’s about fairness. It’s about dignity.”

Us Weekly broke the news that Brad and Angie are hosting an ultra-exclusive Hamptons dinner party for about 50 people Saturday night, hoping to raise money for the victims of Katrina.

Meanwhile, Brad is fighting mad about the region’s slow recovery from the devastating hurricane, and he’s raising his voice.

He tells “Today,” “Katrina was a man-made disaster…I believe the government has a responsibility to make right.”

Together, Brad and Angie are celebrating the progress of an organization called Global Green, which aims to build eco-friendly homes in New Orleans.

I was just at the Rosenthal/Hatkoff’s a couple of weeks ago for a Clinton fundraiser. Even though they haven’t put a $$$ amount on it, it looks like this will cost my husband and myself a minimum of $25,000 for a couple of lukewarm crab cakes.

No one saw Brad in NOLA from Sunday until he popped up Tuesday at the Global Green event, no one at all. Then he is seen entering a hotel later that day which is immediately said to have him eating there, while another rumor said he PICKED UP CARRYOUT. There have been no pixs of their home in NOLA or anyone entering or leaving their home, which is what happened when they lived in NOLA before.

This year’s Toronto International Film Festival will mark a return to relevant cinema, organizers said on Wednesday, but that’s unlikely to dim the star wattage set to illuminate the September event.

Co-director Noah Cowan described the 2007 festival as a “watershed” moment, particularly for U.S. films set to be screened, which he said show “seriousness of purpose” and delve critically into American politics and the war in Iraq.

I love Angelina…its going to be OK. You shouldn’t allow these tabloids to upset you. Once Brad and Angelina start their down time it will be fine. Like I have been saying Angelina is more than likely there with him. Angelina has been the one working for weeks. Dayum the girl can’t take nap with people claiming they are breaking up.

You have to support Brad and Angelina. You have to support both of them. They are united and I know its getting out of hand but this one of life’s little tests. They can make, we can make it. Angelina doesn’t crack under pressure. I am sure losing her mom has made it hard but Brad would never walk away from her and his children, not now. I don’t see Brad doing that. As usually a Brad thread has strayed off topic.

This show looks very interesting and much like Nip/Tuck may break some barriers. I’ll watch it at least once.

These sort of breakup trouble rumors remind me of when Angelina went to DC and then on to NYC and all the lies that were told about her.

On the positive side, most of the tabs see that they need to reel in new younger readers and are going with covers and stories designed to do that, like high school musical 2. The Brad/Angelina and Tom/Katie stories are wearing thin with many people and the tabs that persist in those type stories will be losers in the end.

The boots girls were not able to stalk Brad in Chicago. These girls were really stalking, aiming for a picture with Brad. Brad out-smarted them. Hence, the bad attitude by the boots toward Brad. They will have to write negative lies to make a name for themselves and to appease their disappointment. They also know that perverse people would like to read them and the bottom line is MONEY.

Brad was busy taping his Japanese commercial, training for his next film (trainer flew to Chicago), flying to LA for jury duty, taking care of the children and other business. When he was free, he went to the set, according to Common, he met Brad at the set. We fans know the truth and so it does not bother me what they lie about.

Brad and Angie are trying their best to help the poor people. For that alone, I love them. Their physical beauty is just a bonus, it is what is in their hearts that count.
I admired Mother Teresa and she was not as beautiful as Angie.

Boycott the bootgirls, tell them how much we dislike what they did but don’t give them hits at their site. We post it here at Jared because we know that they read the postings here.
