New ‘Jesse James’ Trailer
The new trailer for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford has been released!
Stars include: Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Jeremy Renner, Mary-Louise Parker, Paul Schneider, Sam Rockwell, Sam Shepard and Zooey Deschanel.
Jesse James opens in theaters September 21.

Holy Sh#t! The studio’s been quibbling over the cut of THIS movie? It looks to me like “Unforgiven” times 2! And “Unforgiven” is a freaking masterpiece. I can’t wait to see the whole movie now.
And can I just say - Brad’s accent, Casey’s accent…for that part of Missouri 130 years ago? Probably dead on center. It’s a flatter, broader accent now, but it’s definitely got a country twang to it. But, Springfield today, that accent is still very prevalent. All Brad had to do is call home and listen to his family talk!
I read a review of this film months ago (when it was still in post-production & so incomplete in parts) but apparently it is an amazing film & Affleck is superb. Also heard there’s 2 versions or something, one how Brad wanted it & another a different version…
If life is fair Casey Affleck would get nominated for an oscar.

The couple - who already have a 14-month-old biological daughter, Shiloh, and three adopted children, six-year-old Cambodian boy Maddox, Vietnamese son Pax Thien, three, and two-year-old Ethiopian girl Zahara - are said to have decided to start trying for another child.
A source said: “They’ve decided the time is right to try for another baby. Brad is crossing his fingers that it will be a boy.”
To give themselves the best possible chance of conceiving, Brad, 43, has been reading a number of health books and is cooking Angelina, 32, fertility boosting meals.
Last week, it was reported that Angelina and Brad are planning to adopt another child from Ethiopia.
The couple are said to believe another baby will help Zahara feel more secure within the family, because of shared African heritage.
A source close to the couple revealed: “Angelina feels that while Shiloh will see the family resemblances between her and her natural parents, and Maddox and Pax will have a connection through their birthplaces, Zahara has no such close-knit bond. They hope by finding a sibling for her, Zahara will feel more comfortable in her own skin.”

I think Brad maturity has given him depth and that his best roles are still ahead of him. I see more depth in his character now, some that because of a killing mix of youth and incredible beauty were overshadowed.
Now I see maturity and more intensity in his roles.
I wished he will take more dramatic roles to explore a talent who remained barely unshattered…something like Sean Penn could have done. The role of a father who is hurt in his flesh with the various emotions of sadness, vengeance like in “Mystic River”….Now that he is one he could explore more deeply the fatherly feelings about a father when loosing a child. He never had a role of a father.

Commedies are great too but I think he should add some dramatic skills in tough roles.

Here’s the solution to your Jolie-Pitt problem…DONT READ ABOUT THEM, IF YOU DON’T LIKE THEM. Obviously you want to know about them, just like everyone else. As far as for collecting babies. Here’s something for you to think about. Did you know that Zahara was suffering from malnutrition, dehydration, salmonella poisoning, she was near death before she was adopted, so if they are “collecting babies” to save their lives and give them a better chance at life, them I say more power to them. Those kids are healthy and beautiful and that’s what should matter.

Wow, after watching this trailer and the movie “the Good Shepherd” I imagine Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie playing together in this kind of classic movie… eg. “Cold Mountain”, “Legends of the Fall”… It could be explodingly romantic or… What do you think?
While waiting in the airport I came across the Cowboys & Indians magazine September issue that Brad is on the cover of. First, by the title of it, I had no idea that the magazine was like a Vogue for the West/Southwest lifestyle. OMG the glossy pages beat Vanity Fair and Vogue and the content is AMAZING. The ads for handcrafted southwestern jewelry in 18 & 22 kt gold and beautiful turquoise, custom made leather wear by artisans that would put many Italian leather shops to shame. There were pages and pages or artisanal native American Crafts & culture, historical content and features about these amazing homes in the West in places like Jackson Hole, Cody and Santa Fe. I was impressed. What was more impressive was the article and photos of the Brad Pitt article. It is a must get for Brad fans. Since this is a Western themed magazine, they chose big glossy pics of him in rugged Western wear from moviesof that same theme. Ladies, can you say hunk? I’d say from all the years of seeing Brad in various dress for different occasions, I think that he looks best and probably feels best in that Western type gear. He dresses like he’s in rural West most of the time anyway no matter what the city is. I think this would be his dream. For his base in America to be in wide open spaces, beautiful countryside, fresh air and all that good stuff. He is sooo cute in that magazine. Then they have side bar questions compiled from older interviews. Wonderful quotes. It’s a must get.

I read it was actially filmed, and they were debating if they should keep in the final print. But there are always the unrated DVD’s which come out later so they may be holding back for DVD sales lol.
WOW.. I was waiting for a new trailer to see more of the theme and mood of this film: Totally worth the wait. I will definately catch this one opening weekend!! Love this director. Love Brad. Love Casey. Love great cinematography. Its a win win.

Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt accepted to shoot a nude scene in his upcoming movie “The Assassination Of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”, directed by Andrew Dominik, an adaptation of Ron Hansen’s novel
Pitt, 41, who showed some parts of his body in “Legends of the Fall” and in the recent movie “Troy”, is rumored to show even more skin in the anticipated film, which he’s currently shooting in Fort Edmonton, Canada.
A source tells US Weekly, “(In the script) a fully nude Pitt baths himself with a washcloth while standing in a tub.
This is a pretty long nude scene for any actor.”
A few days ago, a paparazzi was arrested while he was trying to get some pictures with Brad Pitt, on the set of Jessie James. David Buston, 55, was found hiding in a building from the set, which was closely guarded from the public.
The photographer, who maybe was trying to get some nude pictures with Brad, declared he was innocent, insisting he’s not a paparazzi, because he concentrates mainly on photographing sporting events and weddings.

AOJJ will be limited release because it’s an art film, not because it’s being touted as Academy fodder. Look at the prognostications for best film and you’re not going to find AOJJ on any of the CURRENT lists. So that blows your theory out of the water.
Furthermore, the film is in limited realese because it’s probably going to be close to 3 hours and after the big-ass mistake Paramount/Vantage made in going with a wide release of A Mighty Heart the studios now acknowledge that it’s best to let a film build buzz BEFORE expanding the number of theaters.

Tires screeching, we wheeled around the corner of Rush and Chicago, barely missing a pack of pedestrians. “Sorry folks — watch it!” the photographer yelled as he pounded the accelerator of his SUV and sped east on Chicago.
He was on the hunt, chasing a black Ford Expedition belonging to the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt entourage, and it had just departed the Peninsula Hotel. I’d been interviewing the photographer in his SUV, and when the chase began I went along for the wild ride.
He and the dozen other paparazzi tailing the Expedition had no clue who was inside. At the moment, though, the vehicle’s human cargo was beside the point. Thanks to the caprices of a traffic control aide, eight taxis, a Ford F-150 and an OfficeMax truck, the photographer — with me, slightly nervous, in the passenger seat — was trailing his quarry by several blocks.
Then word from a fellow photographer and friend came in over the two-way radio, announcing that the Expedition was nearly at Lake Shore Drive. Cursing, my driver floored it, using the turn lane to bypass traffic. As he reached the Drive, his cell phone rang. Another photographer was right on the Expedition’s tail, and he was willing to give directions.
The SUV’s speedometer quickly reached 80, well over the Drive’s 45 m.p.h. limit. Per instructions, he exited at Wilson and headed west, using the wrong side of the street as a passing lane and narrowly avoiding several head-on collisions as he snaked in and out of traffic. Finally, sweating and out of breath, he pulled up behind a line of paparazzi at a stoplight.
Then, for the first time that day, he reached into the camera bag at my feet, pulled out a camera and slung it around his neck. We weren’t done yet.
Our chase began at the Peninsula, the luxury hotel where Pitt, Jolie and their ever-expanding brood stayed while Jolie was in Chicago shooting the movie “Wanted.” When I arrived there that morning, I saw no signs that a dozen or so paparazzi were staking out the hotel.
I later found out that most remained in their cars, hiding behind their tinted windows and making the most of the air conditioning. Several said they paid the valet at Rosebud on Rush $40 a day to secure parking spots with a view of the Peninsula and its loading dock, where Jolie and Pitt loaded up their SUVs before attempting to venture outward. A paparazzo might have left his car for the occasional cigarette break or to run to the Giordano’s across from the Peninsula for a slice of pizza, but the ones who knew what they were doing stayed out of sight, watching, until their quarry presented itself.
The paparazzi are a secretive lot. Some are tight-lipped because they want to safeguard their turf and tipsters. Others worry about the negative publicity that accompanies their work. The paparazzo I was with asked that we not use his name because he was concerned it would upset some of his clients, acknowledging the hypocrisy of invading others’ privacy while protecting his own.
“People do a lot of things in this business that they aren’t happy about, that they don’t tell everybody else about,” he said. “People know who I am. It’s just a little different when you make the paper and you’re the poster child for an organization.”
While some photographers work full time as paparazzi, many alternate chasing stars with more conventional gigs.
“Sometimes, the people who do this work for the local newspaper and are just [photographing celebrities] on the side to make some money,” said Francois Navarre, founder and president of X17, which is one of the largest paparazzi agencies in Los Angeles.
The paparazzi are aware of the negative implications associated with their job. Critics say that their pursuit of their targets borders on stalking, and that the high-speed chases they instigate endanger celebrities and innocent motorists. But most paparazzi are quick to say that they’re just another part of our celebrity-driven culture, that the stars are perfectly aware when they’re being photographed and that many don’t exactly mind when they see their faces in People magazine.
“We aren’t trespassing; we’re just trying to get a story,” said Raul Rodriguez, a paparazzo from L.A. who came to Chicago in pursuit of Jolie. “I haven’t seen any pictures from when she’s been here where she looks upset. She’s smiling, enjoying her work, enjoying being with her kids and Brad.
“It’s part of the game,” he added. “We’re basically contributing to their publicity.”
Rodriguez said that in the eight years he’s been photographing celebrities, he’s never been involved in a car accident. But he acknowledged that sometimes things can get out of hand when the paparazzi are chasing a target.
“In L.A., it’s really tense,” he said. “There are people who don’t have the skills to drive. They’re nervous. They want to get the photos.”
Driving in Chicago has been more sedate, he said, although the city’s numerous one-way streets and the abundance of pedestrians on the Magnificent Mile, near the Peninsula, have caused occasional snags.
It might seem odd that Jolie and Pitt’s brief jaunt to Chicago has drawn Rodriguez and other paparazzi away from the star-laden streets of New York and Los Angeles. But Jolie and Pitt are at the top of the celebrity A-list not necessarily in terms of talent, but in terms of their ability to draw readers to celebrity magazines.
“It changes every week, but they’re always in the top 10,” Navarre said. “Right now, No. 1 is Britney [Spears], then Katie Holmes, then Angelina.”
And so, knowing that their payday is relaxing within the walls of the Peninsula, the paparazzi wait, eyes trained on the Peninsula’s loading dock. “Sometimes they wait a week for nothing,” Navarre said. “It happens all the time.”
(Susan Ellefson, director of public relations at the Peninsula, declined to comment on what measures the hotel was taking to ensure the privacy of its guests. Apparently, though, it was handling matters on its own. Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Monique Bond said that the police have received no complaints relating to the paparazzi’s pursuit of Jolie and Pitt.)
Back to the chase. We had caught up to the rest of the paparazzi, but the pursuit wasn’t over. With the Expedition at its head, the caravan sped west on Wilson, not bothering to halt at stop signs. We moved as one unit: The first two cars would pass under a traffic light as it turned red, and the remaining four cars would run the light, rather than risk being left behind. As we blew through the intersection of Wilson and Sheridan, the paparazzo glanced upward at the camera mounted beside the traffic lights.
“I always wonder if they watch those things and see what we do,” he said.
He ran another red light. Ahead of us, the line of cars veered around a bus that had halted at a CTA stop. As we approached it, the bus slowly began to move back into the road, blocking our view of oncoming traffic. My paparazzo escort stepped on the gas. As we began to pass the bus, a sedan appeared, coming straight at us. I closed my eyes and hoped for the best.
I didn’t hear any shattering glass or crunching metal, so I opened my eyes. The caravan had halted at a red light, and we had come to a stop in the middle of the street, all but wedged between the bus and the sedan. The bus move forward slightly, so that its driver was directly above us. The bus driver glared down into my window. Even though it was tinted, I slouched down in my seat.
Possibly humbled by our narrow escape, the entire caravan stopped, one by one, at the next stop sign.
Thus far, we had no idea where the Expedition was going. Earlier, the paparazzo had speculated that some of Jolie’s children might be in the Expedition, but neither of us could think of any child-friendly destinations this far north. The caravan turned right on Western and again on Lawrence. Suddenly, the paparazzo’s face lit up.
“I know where we’re going!” he exclaimed. “There’s a toy store around here.”
Sure enough, the line of cars immediately veered right on North Lincoln, and the Expedition came to a halt in front of Timeless Toys. The paparazzo jumped from his car and sprinted down the street. I remained in the car, feeling mildly nauseated. A couple of moments later, he returned, triumphant: He had snapped a shot of Jolie carrying daughter Zahara into the store.
After the initial melee, we parked the car and joined the rest of the photographers outside Timeless Toys, hoping for an exit shot. The befuddled staff of the Chopping Block next door gathered at its entrance, wondering what had turned their normally quiet street into a circus. Moments later, the owner of Timeless Toys stepped outside. She was perturbed.
“Are my toys that important?” she demanded.
“We love toys!” the photographers chirped like a pack of choirboys. One of them added, “I hear they’re timeless,” which elicited general moans from his comrades and a smirk from the owner before she returned inside.
Passersby gathered outside the store. Twenty minutes passed. The paparazzi began to worry that Jolie might try to sneak out of the back.
Suddenly, three police cruisers pulled up to the curb, and several Kevlar vest-clad officers strode into the store. The paparazzi realized that Jolie was indeed trying to exit from the store’s rear, and they sprinted through the parking lot, catching a glimpse of Jolie and Zahara before the pair escaped. A couple jumped in their cars to resume the chase, but the police officers quashed their efforts by blocking the alley behind the store with a squad car.
“I don’t know where they’re going, and I don’t care,” the paparazzo said as he walked back to his car. “I got my photo. I’m happy.”
And with that, he opened his door, climbed in and headed back to his stakeout at the Peninsula.

I think that tabloids are making money, but I also think racism plays a part. Brad before Angie was considered the all american midwestern man, even before Aniston. Who was more american than Brad? Cook - neither Kevin Bacon or Sean Penn have ever been “big stars”. It’s definitely not something that Sean Penn has ever aspired to be. Bacon either for that matter. They’re both very quirky actors and don’t really do very many conventional movies. They like artsy and edgy, not necessarily popular movies that lead to $20MIL paydays.

You see piper, to me beard is a sign of maturity and manhood. However, growing a beard does not mean letting it stretch to an unreasonable width or length; rather, it adds to one’s handsomeness when it’s trimmed a bit or shaped from edges.
OH and as you can see i love man with beards and dislike man with shaven chin…
Maybe the hair on the face is for his new role. If any changes are going to be made in his appearance for the role it should be happening soon.

#131: The Pitts announced their official separation in January 2005. Divorce was filed two months later. This was in SPRING. The shoot was in the SUMMER. They were already uncoupled as far back as the first month of the year and was just waiting for the court to make it formal and binding.
The time that Angelina was in Canada, the Pitts have already gone their separate ways months before that. Stop making it sound as if they are still together when Angelina came into the picture.

Maybe I’m naive, but I think they have to move to Europe to stay safe. I can’t imagine how I would handle keeping my children safe with nuts like this pulling stunts like that every day in an effort to take picture.

FYI, not all Angelina Jolie fans like Brad Pitt. Some like me thing he’s overrated. But I don’t mind them as a couple. I just think he is overly hyped in everything.

Hi! I know, it really sucks that I wasn’t able to see them and they were in my turf. Oh well, better luck next time. But I feel bad that those two boots beeyotches who had their picture taken with her (and she was so gracious despite the fact that she had been shooting all night), after giving her the props for being so nice, then turned around and stabbed her in the back. They added those “sad and tired” adjectives after she was gone. I mean, how really beeyotchy of them … makes me doubly embarrassed because they are Chicagoans and are women … but I guess everyone has a price. And their price was a paycheck from InTouch. I’ve wondered if BP/AJ would make Faustian bargains to get privacy — like giving up the $$ that goes to charity from photos. But I still think the primary reason they do that is to cut down on the paps frenzy as the subsequent photos aren’t as valuable and raise the likelihood that they get less attention.
I also wonder if they play it — like “Hey, honey, why don’t you stick some padding down the front of your pants so you look preggers!” I think Viggo Mortensen consciously started looking more and more scruffy a couple years after Lord of the Rings to cut-down on the paps interest. Sort of “enough is enough.”

Brad Pitt’s Jesse James Trailer Hits the Web

The trailer for Brad Pitt’s new Western, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, has just ridden into town.
The movie, which stars Pitt as the outlaw James and Casey Affleck as Ford (who was also an outlaw), was shot in Canada in 2005. It will hold its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival (which runs from Aug. 29 to Sept. 8) and then play the Toronto Film Festival. The movie opens in the U.S. on Sept. 21.
Meanwhile, the picture’s premiere location is stirring up some controversy: The citizens of St. Joseph, Mo., want Warner Bros. to open the film in their town, reports the Kansas City Star.
Why? Although Pitt grew up in Springfield, Mo., St. Joseph is where the real-life Jesse James was gunned down, in 1812. (The town’s slogan is, “Where the Pony Express Began and Jesse James Ended.”)
“Please bring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck to Northwest Missouri,” the St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau states on a petition on its Web site. “This is where the history behind your movie took place, and we feel it is an absolutely appropriate location for a premiere screening.”
So far, the town has made no progress with the request, reports the newspaper, which quotes bureau spokeswoman Beth Conway as saying, “It started as a joke. We were discussing ways we could get attention from the studio in showcasing the film. But it’s been difficult to get to the powers that be.”
As for Pitt, he and his Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13 cohort George Clooney are about to begin shooting a new movie together, the Coen brothers’ Burn After Reading.
Its location is as far from the Old West as a guy can get: Brooklyn, N.Y.

334 Passing Through - I saw the 8:30 a.m segment on how you can turn your house into an eco friendly and energy sufficient house. Brad was showing Ann all the energy saving products, such as a balcony with using grass sod to warm up the house in the winter and way to collect rain water through a filter system and smaller energy saving water heater, the position of the windows in the house also base on the wind pattern to keep the house cool, etc… I really like the house they are building. I hope they will show us the house again when it’s done.

Angie wasn’t even safe picking up her new son from his orphanage in Vietnam. I really don’t think there’s anywhere they can go that’s safe from razzi stalking.
Maybe when Angie takes the year off after doing the Changeling, and if Brad doesn’t sign onto any other movies before the actors strike, they can take the kids to Africa or Europe and just disappear for a few months. obviously they both have films coming out that they’ll have to promote and if Angie is nominated for an Oscar or GG - or Brad - they’ll probably do those awards shows to support their movies, but other than that? They just need to take off and go somewhere that the razzi won’t or can’t go to.

Yes he did. Brad is the legal father of Maddox and Z. and the process of adopting Pax was inciated right after the adoption.

This is a can of worms. If you like and respect the celeb, then you’ll value their opinion. If you don’t like or respect the celeb you’re going to say they need to keep their mouth shut and stick to acting, singing, dancing or whatever.
Whether they should or should not use their clout to attempt to influence public opinion on a politician, at least to my mind, depends on the celeb in question. If someone has made a reputation for themselves as being politically involved and active that arena and knows what they’re talking about, then fine. But what I hate is when celebs jump on the bandwagon and you know darned good and well that they’re going it for PR or because it’s the hot thing to do at the moment.
If Angie comes out an endorses a candidate, fine, but if Paris Hilton did? YOu know everyone would roll their eyes and say she’s an example of why celebs need to stay out of politics altogether. One idiot like Paris jumping into the fray can negate all the people like Angie who genuinely care.

The problem with that “stay-at-home mom” quote is this - Angie didn’t say WHEN she was going to do it. She just said she was. Idiots, haters, trolls and tabloids interpreted it as being right away. And for that matter - when she adopted Pax she DID stay home with him for more than 2 months before doing Wanted. She didn’t say she was going to be a permanent stay-at-home-mom. So just because she didn’t do it on THEIR timetable people are calling her a liar. If Angie says she’s going to do something - she’s going to do it. If people don’t know anything else about the woman by now, they ought to know that much.
