Papa Pitt’s Playground Family Fun
Brad Pitt takes three of his four kids — Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, and Zahara, 2 — to a park playground on New York City’s Upper East Side on Tuesday.
Mad, Pax and Z climbed across the monkey bars, dropped down the fire engine poles and slid down the spirally slides. Looks like everybody had a blast with good dad Brad!
Here are some details about Brad and Angelina Jolie’s dinner in the Hamptons, which they flew to via helicopter. E! Online reports, “The intimate four-hour soiree was attended by about 70 people, including Christie Brinkley, Pitt’s Oceans 13 costar Ellen Barkin, Donna Karan, music honcho L.A. Reid and hotelier Andre Balazs. The New Orleans-inspired buffet menu—prepared by [hosts Jane Rosenthal and husband Craig Hatkoff’s] personal chef—included crabcakes, salmon, lamb, lemon pound cake and grilled peaches.”

Angelina Jolie highlights humanitarian crisis during Syria and Iraq visits
DAMASCUS, Syria, August 28 (UNHCR) – UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has visited Iraq and Syria to see first-hand the plight of hundreds of thousands of families uprooted by the conflict in Iraq.
The UN refugee agency estimates more than 4. 2 million Iraqis have left their homes – 2 million to neighbouring states and another 2.2 million displaced inside Iraq.
Yesterday in Damascus, Jolie visited a UNHCR registration centre and spent hours talking to Iraqi refugees in their homes. Today, she crossed into Iraq to visit 1,200 refugees trapped in a makeshift camp at the border, unable to flee Iraq, and later watched scores of Iraqis crossing into Syria at a border checkpoint.
As a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie said she would leave politics to others while focusing on the region’s huge humanitarian needs.
“I have come to Syria and Iraq to help draw attention to this humanitarian crisis and to urge governments to increase their support for UNHCR and its partners,” Jolie said. “My sole purpose in both countries is to highlight the humanitarian plight of those uprooted by the war in Iraq.”
After talking with some of the stranded refugees at Iraq’s Al Waleed camp on Tuesday, Jolie said: “it is absolutely essential that the ongoing debate about Iraq’s future includes plans for addressing the enormous humanitarian consequences these people face.”
While in Iraq, she separated from UNHCR to visit privately with US troops and other Multi-National Forces based in the area.
Jolie arrived in Syria on Monday. In Damascus, she met some of the thousands of Iraqi refugees registering with UNHCR, nearly one-quarter of whom are victims of violence and torture. Tens of thousands are without jobs, and many young people are in danger of losing out on an education and a future. She recognized Syria for its open borders and generosity to Iraqis.
In late July, UNHCR and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) launched a joint US$129 million education appeal aimed at getting 155,000 young Iraqi refugees throughout the Middle East back into school. The United States announced Tuesday that it will contribute US$30 million to the appeal.

Stop the bickering people! Someone has to do her job. Just be grateful someone is doing it. If everyone complains nothing is going to be done
————————————————————–
Yes I agree she has a job to do. If you ask me being a parent should be the first and most important job to do. There is a war going on there and it is not safe. While I admire her bravery, I don’t think she should have not gone with 4 kids who need a mother and father.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I don’t see how you can judge so harshly when you know nothing of her accomodations while she is over there. She is going to see refugees at a camp, while dangerous I doubt they are in the line of fire. What was stupid was for them to announce it. They shouldn’t have until she was on her way back, which she probably will be soon.
———–
Why was it stupid for them to announce her visit?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
IMO, She is a very high profile person it may have been better for the UN to announce it ater she was on her way back instead of when she was actually there because of the extremist. But like I said she is visiting troops and refuge camps I’m sure she isn’t in the line of fire and will be returning safely soon. She is doing a job she loves and is very good at, may God bless her in her travels
Angie does not even like the US, she does not even vote

Guli, that’s the very reason I say that some lack in the critical thinking department. Guess I should have add crictial reading too. Anyone that has followed Angie knows that all information that is release is after she has completed her mission.
Rock on Angie!
and another thing I think she can`t be with her family by this time b/c traveling from Iraq to USA is more that 18 hours.but hopefully she will be with her family next day.

You come here at JJ’s and make yourself unhappy, that’s a big time obsession… more than any of us BAMPZS fans here. Now, you are an obsessed and miserable person. You wanna add more descriptions to your list?

I pray for Angelina and for her safety. I don’t know but Angie is a mother of four, does she really need to be taking such risks. Yes I think it is wonderful what she is doing, but does she even think about the risks and her what she puts her family through. Iraq is a mess and there is a war going on there.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the difference I am with you on this one.
That was a very stupid move for her to make. She has young kids at home and did not have to go to Iraq inorder to make a statement. I never thought I would say this but I think Angelina just lost my respect on this one. There are alot of young lives at stake and she didnt have to that.
______________________________________________________________
I hope you do not live in a FREE AND DEMOCRATIC country like the good old US of A!!. How do you think the USA became free and democratic in the firsrt place? It did so because ordinary men and women, many of them with young children, felt impelled to do the job that was required, so that milquetoasts like you can be free and safe. The price of freedom, my dear, is eternal vigilance. And it requires men and women of COURAGE to do that job.
Notice that while Angie had gone off to iraq, you were sitting on your duff, writing about her and her family. I’m sure that the UN only released that bit of news of her visit, because she is back safely at home by now.
Viva the BAMPZS family!
For those of you who are complaining about Angies life.
I am sure the UNHCR would have taken all safety measures to send her to Iraq.
The children are with their father and I am sure the grand parents are with them too.
If I were given the chance to visit these places, I would. So, which means Angie is doing nothing foolish for haters to give a foul cry against Angie’s activities.
Therefore, let us all admire this woman!!!
Has Brad already started filming his movie?
Angie does not even like the US, she does not even vote

What is your proof? And don’t go refrencing tabloid gossip.
I am quite sure Angelina voters. She just chooses to not say who she votes for which I can respect.
SHE’S OUT OF IRAQ ALREADY : 08/28/2007 at 12:50 pm

Some people love to go crazy for nothing. The article at the UNHCR page is clear, she alredy left.
Just like any high profiled person, a trip to war torn country is made only after the person is gone. Soon we will have pictures and video of Angie’s visit to Iraq to see. UNHCR will publicize it to on the refugees’ behalf. It’s funny to see the “fans” so mad about her trip. She is educated adult and knows what she about. It’s easy to sit in your comfortable home and criticized people for what you don’t have guts to do. That’s I guess is freedoom of speech.
You know UNHCR workers and non-famous people are in and out of Iraq all the time. Let’s not forget the media (reporters, cameramen, etc..). So if Angie went I am sure she took precautions. So stop freaking out and listening to the idiots. She is still a UNHCR ambassador doing her job. Rock on Angie. Your true fans love ya.
986 Jolie in Iraq? Angie was in Iraq? I wish i would have known, I could have told my hubby to put a bulls eye on her back!!!

Bottom line is that she did a good thing, she did her job and she should be applauded for that not dragged through the mud. I look forward to seeing the pictures and hearing more about her trip. Brad surely must be very proud of her.
