OlderAngelina Jolie Highlights Humanitarian Crisis
UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie listens to one elderly refugee’s story at the makeshift Al Waleed camp inside Iraq on Tuesday. This woman is just one of some 1,300 trapped unable to leave the country for neighboring Syria.
Angie has worked with UNHCR since early 2001. In May, a foundation set up by Angie and Brad Pitt, donated $1 million to help those affected by the conflict in Sudan’s Darfur region and neighboring Chad.
UPDATE 1: The Huffington Post reports Angie gain flew commercial with no staff, as she did with Darfur last year. She is stealth! (Head bodyguard Mickey Brett did tag along, though.)
UPDATE 2: OK! Magazine just updated their site with Angelina posting with Lance Corporal Samuel Petersen, 22, of the US Marine Corps.

what did you read that made you think I would insult soldiers? I was referring to a birthday party where Ms. Jolie and family painted their faces, played with war toys and acted like war is a party- what are you talking about?
Either Ms. Jolie thinks war is horrible or she thinks it is ok to have a “war party” , like you would have a “sports” party. Ms. Jolie insults us soldiers by acting like their sacrifice is nothing more than a party game. She and her family pretend to shoot someone and it is ok- do you think US soldiers feel that way? Who do you think is insulting their sacrifice now? Get a grip .

Angelina isn’t “calling attention to the war in Iraq”, you dumb c*nt; she is calling attention to the refugee problem created by the war, which somebody needs to call attention to, seeing as our own government seems to be clueless about the problem. We started this war, we created the refugee problem, and now we are leaving them to fend for themselves. A lot of those refugees worked for our troops, risking their homes, their families and their lives in the process, and our a**hole president is turning his back on them.
I don’t expect you to have sufficient brains to understand half of what I just posted above, but it might give more intelligent people than you something to think about.
So sad to see how some people have to live, then we have the hollywood spoiled people who spend more on cocaine in a day than these people make in their entire life. Good for you Angelina, I just hope you can do some good and maybe make some other hollywood types donate more money to help these people who were left behind. In the us also

Ok but if Angelina cares so much about Iraqis, why doesn’t she speak out against the war? and at least take what 5 mins of her time to vote. Vote against the war. a lot of people are public about it. If the mainstream media puts pressure on Bush he will take down the troop numbers more and more.
the answer is because she is a two-faced person and about her life. or she’s ignorant. She is not a good person for the UNHCR to promote their causes, because she says one thing and does another. She does things to promote herself. Most people I know voted against Bush, ,that is the power we all have. To copt out and say you just don’t care about politics and then expect people to congratulate you because you act like you care about a political situation is just sad.
That woman is so inspiring.This woman is so admirable.This woman is an example for everyone.She’s doing something,when all of us just sit in the safety of our home,feeling sorry for the problems in the world but doing nothing about them.Thank God there are still people like her,it means that there is still hope in this world.
The fires are still burning in Greece but hopefully there is a decrease.Maybe the worst part is now that we’ll start counting the damages.There is no end and no beggining.It’s been the greatest destruction of our recent history.I refuse to get out of my town because I don’t want to see what the fire left behind.I don’t want to see black mountains instead of green forests,ruins instead of houses,desperate people instead of happy faces.My land will never be the same again….
If I have Angie’s power, fortunate and fame, I believe I will do the same as her! but unfortunately I am still struggling with my own life.

Thank you for your support.It will take years for the forests to grow and it’s not just that.Thousands of oil trees have turned to ashes and most of the people here lived from their harvest.As I said,there is no begging and no end.It’s a dramatic situation.
JJ is going to have to find a way to clean up this site.

OK, I haven’t posted on anything Brad or Angie in a while, but I just had to say that Angie walks the walk and talks the talk. I hope her children grow up to be just like their Mum & Dad.
