Hey Whatever, here’s a little exercise for you. That vacation you were going to take to whatever sunny place you had in mind, cancel it. Instead pretend your going instead to sunny Iraq. How do you think you’d feel? Don’t worry you’ll be safe, plenty of soldiers around. But still, how do you think you’ll feel. I’ll bet the word, ‘excited’ will have a whole new meaning to you.
The problem with you haters is that you think walking a mile in Angie’s shoes is not walking at all.

It’s so pointless to even try to have any kind of intelligent discussion when so many people are determined to hate simply for the principle of it.

No good deed goes unpunished. Angie throws herself into charitable work and these people act as though she’s committed some crime against humanity. She adopts a few kids and my goodness by the outrage displayed, you’d think she literally kidnapped them fron their parents’ homes in the middle of the night. Where is the perspective? Us fans fawning over ourselves I get, we’re FANS! That’s our hobby, but what what is your excuse for your insanity? (That is rhetorical by the way).

Would Angie be a “better” person if she just sat on her millions and indulged in the excessive lifestyle such wealth offers? Would people be more comfortable if she would just cut a check to these causes, smile occasionally for the cameras during a fundraiser and then go back to her detached, self-indulgent lifestyle where she doesn’t get her hands dirty and really isn’t too involved in the matter? I suppose if she were in and out of rehab or prison that would be just dandy too? (Again, all rhetorical)

Really this hate is inescapeable although the intensity varies on different sites. Wow, Angie really does a number on you guys. You must just s*** a brick when day after day, this woman, who not too many years ago was the poster child for Hollyweird, does something to defy your ability to define her. Yeah, you’re saying “Oh, I know just how to define that …” but do you really? can you truly capture the essence of each aspect of her personality? Sure, there’s the siren, the sexpot, the eccentric - that’s the most obvious, the Hollywood image - but perhaps, just perhaps, if you weren’t so blinded by your hate you might actually see someone who’s just trying to live a decent life the best that she can and use her good fortune to help others.
True, she doesn’t play by anyone’s rules but the rules are usually double standards anyway. I say go for it - Angie! So why do you really hate her? Is this resentment because you don’t have the guts to go out there and live a bold life? Is this because Brad CHOSE to engage life fully and not to settle for simply passing through half-heartedly? If her humanitarian efforts ring false to you then that’s your opinion but get involved yourself. Stop wasting time here, bring attention to others in the field who don’t have the benefit (or the curse) of celebrity status. Start in your local area - I volunteer with the local Red Cross, which along with my job saves my mind from becoming mush from all the **** on these sites. Since you’ve got so much to say about Angie’s latest mission, learn about the organizations helping Iraqi refugees and learn how to help. Instead of criticizing those trying to solve the problem, help with the solution.

Anyway, I don’t want any responses to the questions I posed in this post, they were all rhetorical - besides, I’m going to bed, I actually have a job and a life. But I realize that Angie will never do anything “right” in many people’s eyes. No matter what she does - pursues her career, stays home for the kids, works for the UN - someone will always cry foul. The second she looks to “us” for approval, she’s ruined. As long as she follows her own compass, my Angie will be alright.

I admire her greatly. Yes, she’s flawed, absolutely flawed - but that makes her efforts all the more admirable. She’s not one to get bogged down in regret. She learns the lesson from her mistakes and moves forward. I like that, I like that alot.

As fans, I think we get too caught up fighting a battle that not even Angie deems worthy of acknowledging - at least not publicly. Not that it’s easy to ignore but this daily fight just takes away from the limited view of their world that we have. It seems to be the only joy they get in their lives and I refuse to give them another moment. So, I just come here no to view the pics and to drop an occasional comment on the pics themselves. I choose to keep my Angie experience as positive as possible.

YOU SHOULD DO LOTS OF READING AND RESEARCH TO BE A CRITICAL THINKER. TRY TO QUESTION YOURSELF, WHAT IS IT THAT REALLY UPSETS YOU ABOUT ANGIE? HER PAST? WE ALL HAD OUR UPS AND DOWNS, BUT “IT IS ONLY HUMAN TO ERROR.” THE IMPORTANT THING HERE IS WHEN PEOPLE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. The week was a typical one for actress Angelina Jolie. In the United States, she made the cover of every major magazine that traffics in celebrity gossip, all because of her romance with Brad Pitt. People (”Brad & Angelina Together in Morocco!”), Star (”Why Armed Guards Stormed Their Bedroom!”) and the other tabloids spared no expense to get juicy details of Jolie’s new affaire de coeur.

The movie star had little time to pay heed to the titillating headlines, nor was she likely to see them on newsstands in Sierra Leone, the impoverished African country where she spent the week of May 9 meeting Sierra Leone’s president and survivors of the country’s 11-year civil war.

Jolie’s confab with Ahmad Tejan Kabbah was historic, says one witness. Kabbah opened the meeting to civil rights groups in Sierra Leone (one of the few times he’s ever done that), pledged to work with the organizations in the future and committed himself to responding to recommendations from the country’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Kabbah might not have taken any action were it not for the actress, says Gavin Simpson, a Sierra Leone activist who worked with Jolie during her visit to the West African country.

An example of star power? You bet.

On international issues, the tattooed, 30-year-old actress has greater clout than many U.N. diplomats with Ph.D.s. Jolie opens doors wherever she goes, whether it’s a small country near the African equator or the capital of the United States, where Jolie has met some of Washington’s top policy-makers to discuss refugee issues.

“I see Angelina as the perfect humanitarian advocate,” says Simpson, a member of the activist group Witness, in a phone interview from Sierra Leone. “She brings an immense amount of international focus and attention with her, but she never seeks to use it for her own benefit. On the contrary, she sends the spotlight directly to civic society advocates and makes them more effective and powerful in their own society.”

The better Angelina and her family look, the more desperate the trolls get. Four great threads about the JPs recently and all X rates is a solo thread about how lonely she is. Sorry, haters, but that’s her life. She could change it if she wanted to but she prefers to wallow in misery while she works the pity card to death. Screw her.

Angie is a woman of grace and compassion. People who criticize her and her efforts should first ask themselves what have they done lately to care for the less fortunate before judging her. People who have vile chartacters will never comprehend what true compassion is all about; neither will they see the sincerity f one’s heart because they don’t know what it’s like to have that kind of purity or excellence. It takes one to know one. Those who possess the more excellent things i.e. love, joy, peace and grace will appreciate those qualities when found in someone else such as Angie. God bless her and her family. One of the rewards of those who are compassionate to the poor is God’s protection and provision upon their lives. She is a blessed woman and I pray that she continues to live a purposeful life and in the process gets to know the very One who created her.

Angelina Jolie is adorable. She is so brave and mighty.
I admire her.
