OlderAngelina Jolie Highlights Humanitarian Crisis
UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie listens to one elderly refugee’s story at the makeshift Al Waleed camp inside Iraq on Tuesday. This woman is just one of some 1,300 trapped unable to leave the country for neighboring Syria.
Angie has worked with UNHCR since early 2001. In May, a foundation set up by Angie and Brad Pitt, donated $1 million to help those affected by the conflict in Sudan’s Darfur region and neighboring Chad.
UPDATE 1: The Huffington Post reports Angie gain flew commercial with no staff, as she did with Darfur last year. She is stealth! (Head bodyguard Mickey Brett did tag along, though.)
UPDATE 2: OK! Magazine just updated their site with Angelina posting with Lance Corporal Samuel Petersen, 22, of the US Marine Corps.

Dad Brad Pitt was left to look after the kids today after Angelina jetted out to Iraq on UN business. After whisking Pax off to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs, he then went for a horse carriage ride around Central Park with Zahara. And she loved every minute.

I would never even think about participating here– but it kills me to read SO MUCH IGNORANCE. Wow! This is amazing! There are actually people out there who can find fault with Angie for going to a war torn country, speaking with the people and visiting the troops! I’d love to hear what they’ve done in their lives that gives them that right!
While other Celebs have gone there, mostly they went to the bases to see the troops. Did anyone else go and speak with the people to see and hear what their lives are like? No! Angie is truly a role model!

I truly hope you or your loved ones will never experience and go through what the old woman you ridiculed in the picture went through in her last years of life. That your family will never leave your homestead, taking nothing, leaving your family’s adored pictures behind. That you will never fear that someone will rob your family on their way to safety, or worse yet, nobody will ever rape your nephew on the road. That you will never pray that your cousin should come back home at least alive, even if he is tortured, his nails are plucked out with pliers, or limbs are cut-off. That is what the majority of refugees and IDP fear, fear for dear life.
Your post tells nothing about that woman or about Ms. Jolie, it speaks volumes about your personality, your background. You and your ilk are beyond contempt.
