OlderLuke Wilson Visits Brother Owen
Luke Wilson joins friends and family to be at older brother Owen’s side at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in West Hollywood on Monday. Also pictured visiting the hospital: actor pal Woody Harrelson.
It was recently confirmed that Owen did, in fact, attempt suicide and he has been depressed for the last few months. But it’s not over a broken relationship, reports state.
Extra reports, “The Calls For Service report from the Santa Monica Police Department, which lists the reason for the 911 call from Owen Wilson’s house as an “attempted suicide.” The call was received on Sunday, August 26 at 12:08:16pm. The incident was ‘cleared’ almost five hours later at 5:07:16pm.”
Owen recently released this statement via his rep:”I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”

I agree - those photos are too invasive and shouldn’t be purchased or posted. The Wilsons are facing a very serious issue and should be allowed to come and go from the hospital and heal in peace.
Luke’s face is heartbreaking. I can’t imagine having the world stalking me as I was dealing with a family member’s suicide attempt.
Man, this is messed up. Look at the look on Luke’s face. His brother is in critical condition for ****’s sake. Don’t the paparazzi have better things to do? Isn’t Britney headed for another breakdown or wearing something really hideous? Isn’t Nicole Richie sucking on a crack pipe while patting her pregnant belly? Isn’t Paris getting stuffed by some greasy gigolo? Take pictures of that. ****.
Sorry, but when it comes to **** like this, leave the guy alone. Unlike the usual celebutards, I doubt he did this as a publicity stunt (I’m waiting for Paris and/or Lindsay full pap coverage of their suicide attempts now that Owen is getting all the attention). Let the man have some dignity.
That picture of Luke Wilson is seriously in bad taste. He’s clearly distraught, you’d think the photographer would have a least a speck of humanity and give him space.

From having a family member who commited suicide when I was young and knowing what it is like and knowing what they must be going through. Seeing this picture is gut-wrenching. Seriously, this is bad taste. Take it down.

We constantly hear from magazine editors who defend their publications, in regards to intrusive pap photos as required because everyone else is doing it and the public’s appetite demands. I agree with everyone else who posted comments that this photo is in such bad taste, is completely unnecessary for a show of Wilson Family support, and only further torments and frustrates a family who are probably going through one of the possibly worst situations. I gain nothing from this photo but disgust for the pap who went to such scummy lengths and sadness because I thought Jared was above posting such tabloid pics and had at least some respect for the celebs. By posting these photos, it makes Editors feel warranted in printing them and pap’s feel justified in finding more instrusive and destructive ways to seek the elusive shot. PLEASE TAKE THESE DOWN.
Wow, the paparazzi really are animals, aren’t they? Luke Wilson found his near-dead brother a couple of hours ago and this is the sympathy he gets; “smile I want make easy money by putting a photo of your sobbing, bewildered mug in a gossip rag”. People who support this type of callous behavior should be…oh, wait.
Yeah, not even Perezhilton stooped this low by posting these pics of Luke and that’s saying a lot.
Take down the photos Jared, show the poor dude some respect.
Suicide is a desperate act; to attempt suicide is a personal tragedy that deeply affects the victim and his family. It’s not for us to decide what or why, nor should we judge Owen. He is a multi-talented man who obviously is dealing with some personal issues, and we should respect his privacy and hope that he will be okay. It’s obvious that he didn’t want publicity from this situation, and we have no right to intrude.
If you want drama, attack the celebutantes and the bizarre antics of the partying pop tarts. But allow this man to heal in private and to reconnect with those who love him the most.
Owen, good times to come my friend. this is just a small bump in the road. we will once again be laughing with and at you. all my strength to you and know “I am always on your side” - see you soon. love you lots.
What a sad thing. My heart just broke when I heard the news. Owen is one of the guys you just cant help but like. My prayers goes out to him and his family. They will need each other…………

I actually don’t feel bad for him. I find it hard to be sympathetic towards someone with that much money, he could afford the best drugs that money could buy. He has the opportunity to receieve everything he wants. He has been one of my favorate actors for so long, but I lost all respect for him. He has so much going for him and he could make a huge difference for so many people, and its selfish to try and kill yourself just because things aren’t going your way. Hopfully he realises how many people he has hurt in this process of hurting himself. I wish his family luck and peace.
Luke’s anguish in those photos is exactly why you should take the pictures down.
This is far too private to be made a public spectacle.
