isn’t this so exciting they are together again on the red carpet. How many does that make in the last year 7 - 8. I know that you guys have wet dreams when Brad puts his hand on her bum but for the average public this is overexposure. The tabloids are killing their careers. Just like matt Damon said if the tabloids get you it ruins your movie career. Watch and see how his movie does. It will BOMB!

I must admit that I am not wild about the dress but each person has different tastes. I loved her in the yellow dress in Cannes and some people hated it. She has had her hair up before and I remember one Premier before Brad Pitt she was covered neck to toe in a pant and top outfit. I think it was the Alexander opening and she still looked hot.

By the way did any of you all know that Leo DiCaprio was to star with Angelina in The Good Shepherd?

Robert DeNiro had a deal with Leonardo DiCaprio who was interested in playing the film’s protagonist Edward Wilson. De Niro planned to shoot the movie in the fall of 2004 but DiCaprio couldn’t do it then because he was making The Departed for Martin Scorsese. The role ultimately went to Matt Damon, who played DiCaprio’s antagonist in The Departed. Both movies were nominated for Oscars in 2007.

Old news. It was discussed last year when TGS came out. De Niro said he had to recast because Leo was tied up with shooting Blood Diamond and he pretty much told Matt Damon he was doing TGS instead of Leo and Matt Damon said, “You don’t turn down Robert De Niro.”

BTW - No surprise that the IMDB has their info wrong. Leo was shooting Blood Diamond, not The Departed, and it was the summer of 2005, not 2004. If it had been during the shooting of The Departed, then Matt Damon wouldn’t have been available either! The IMDB really needs to stop letting anyone and their dog submit info…or at least fact check the sh#t that people are posting!

I find myself praying that this beautiful family can withstand all the pressure on their lives from being famous and fall more and more in love with each other every day. I have never known a couple that I have wished more fervently will be happy together and stay together raising all those children until we are seeing the pics of the great grands coming home for the holidays. I wish you all the very best Jolie-Pitts. Stay strong!

Pitt plays Jesse James as outlaw who saw end coming

Brad Pitt plays the fabled U.S. outlaw Jesse James in a new film based on the days leading to his death at the hands of young protege Robert Ford.

“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” has a long title and, at 155 minutes, is a long movie which is in the main competition at the Venice film festival and has its world premiere on Sunday.

The Hollywood star portrays James — a bandit and heroic Robin Hood figure to many during his life and long after his demise — as a man tired of life on the run, who foresees his end is nigh and appears to hasten his death as a way of escape.

“I saw it … as a guy who sensed impending doom, the inevitable end, who had been trapped in a facade and living an alias for so long and didn’t know a way around it,” Pitt told a news conference after a press screening.

“I find that more interesting, because it’s more human to me than this black and white characterization.”

New Zealand-born Andrew Dominik, directing only his second film, said he wanted to focus on the characters’ internal struggles more than the relationships between them.

“It’s kind of like life — you know, we struggle more with ourselves than other people,” he said of the film, based on Ron Hansen’s novel of the same title.

While James has more fame than he wants, Ford, played by Casey Affleck, dreams of filling his hero’s shoes one day.

A social misfit who is constantly teased and bullied, he gradually sees that his easiest path to stardom would be to kill the man he idolizes, and in the film he is hired by the governor of Missouri to bring James down.

GANGSTER MOVIE

The film takes in the intimate interiors of log cabins and saloons of 1880s America and pans to stunning shots of plains and rolling hills through the seasons.

But despite the subject matter and cinematography, Pitt said he saw it as more of a gangster movie than a Western.

The 43-year-old actor, who arrived in Venice with his partner and fellow Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie and their children, was also a producer on “Assassination.”

When asked if he might try his hand at directing, he said: “I don’t have the stones for it. I would probably go crazy and my feeling is there are too many good people doing it.”

Early critical reaction to the historical drama has been mixed, with journalists in Venice generally enthusiastic about the film but the Hollywood Reporter’s Kirk Honeycutt calling it pretentious and vacuous.

Pitt was asked about sustaining his career while having four children, and said it made him a much more efficient actor.

“That (the children) is the main focus and it is the most fun I have ever had,” he said. “It is also the biggest pain in the **** I have ever experienced. I love it and I can’t recommend it any more highly … Sleep is non-existent.”

Tis true…once you make a generic commercial hit film like Mr. & Mrs. Smith. You can ride that gravy train of commercial success for at least 5 years before you get the pressure to make another commercial film. That’s why you do these type of films, so that you can do films you want to do. Johnny Depp and Matt Damon says this all the time. Do the commercial ones then do the really good films for a few years. I do think that with Jesse James, unfortunately being an icon in some parts of the country, will do well with a certain demographic. People love stories of outlaws and gangsters.

She is a gorgeous woman, but these photos aren’t my favorite. Angelina must have done her own makeup and she’s looking less vibrant. The lip color is not suited for her full mouth. She should put bright reds down altogether.

Actually this is more likely NO lipstick for AJ or something to tone down her natural red — which she is on record as not liking. In everyday life she uses GREY lipstick.
