Brad & Angelina @ Venice Film Festival

Hi ariel - you must be starting to get just a bit excited about next Saturday! I think they will all be there together and you are going to be in for an awesome day or two of pandemonium… so totally wish I could be there too

I think that this film will actually do quite well at the box office - a western with a new spin on the great story of Jesse James, and the world’s biggest film star in the lead. Not to mention coming out in late September. When they do the re-release of AMH later this fall it will do quite well too. Can’t wait for awards season and a possible baby bump! sigh…

He sure is Coal, he has waited a long time to be a dad, and he is finally one 4 times over and more to come and to finally find a woman, who loves him for who he is and support him in every way possible, and he finds that woman in Angie. I am so happy for that man, actually I am so damn happy for both of them. They truly are meant for each other.

To those haters who try to use B&A’s children as a excuse to bad mouth them I wonder what you would have said if they had left their children in the US. B&A never leave their children behind when they are both out of the country. For the TIFF I think they will make an exception the children will stay in NY with their grandparents. It is only a short flight (less than an hour to NY from Toronto (my hometown) and Maddox Pax and Z should be starting school soon so they may not bring them along this time. (That is if miss Z allows it)

Thanks for the two new threads. Great to see my favorite couple loving & going on with their lives with ease. Haters cannot break them down no matter what they try. They both compliment each other & got a strong foundation. Brad & Angie you got loving, supportive fans. We love you no matter what.

Just notice one more thing about that dress. I do a bit of sewing and I have to say, Angelina’s dress is a beautifully cut and constructed piece. Every little dart will show up as a heavy line on the lace. Notice how there are NO DARTS where the boobs are. It’s very difficult to shape and fit a piece of fabric over the boobs (unless you are flat chested) without darts and not have pieces of fabric sticking out. You essentially need to shape a cone to cup the boobs. Try doing it on a piece of tissue paper and you’ll see what I mean.

Same with the skirt as it falls from the empire line. Looking at the drape of that lace fabric, the lace looks like it was cut on the bias. I remember reading that Edith whats her name (can never remember names) the great hollywood costume designer, loved to cut her evening gowns for the stars on a bias because it gives such beautiful drape and movement to the wearer, but it shows off every curve (or lump!!!).

Alexanderina - me too! I swear I’ve got a happy buzz just from all the pics and the vid today… and I’ve never been the type of person to really be a ‘fan’ of anyone, or any thing, quite like this. Totally loved Duran Duran when I was 13, in the way that a 13 year old does, but that’s about it.

Angie and Brad just inspire so much good and I love how they’ve turned everyone’s ideal of what ‘family’ is on it’s head, in the sweetest, but most complicated, way. I truly admire them.

Angie’s new tattoo

Last weekend Angelina was photographed having a day of fun with her kids in Central Park. One photograph reveled a new addition to her body art. It’s of roman numerals. “V- MCMXL.” It’s located next to the “XIII” tattoo Jolie got several years ago. Put together it reads XIII-V-MCMXL. A very crafty fan did some research and found out that it might be a reference to … Winston Churchill. The numbers read out to be 13 / 05 /1940, the date of Churchill’s famous Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat speech.

Now, I know you’re thinking, Winston Churchill? Really? Angelina Jolie and Winston Churchill?

In several interviews Jolie has spoken about the respect and admiration she has for the late British Prime Minister. In an interview from 2005 she was asked who were her idols growing up. Jolie stated “Winston Churchill! I did, I loved Winston Churchill! Yeah. I have posters of Lawrence of Arabia and Winston Churchill books - that’s my house.” She went on to say “when I get depressed, or I feel a little out of focus, I read their speeches, or their books, or things about them. It makes me feel centred. They just seem to be very clear thinkers. I’m sure I could analyse it to death, but they just inspire me and focus me. “ And in another interview Jolie talked again about her Churchill love. “I love Churchill. I have every book on him. I listen to his speeches on tape - the last great orator and statesmen, and his painting and his bricklaying and his marriage. He’s one of the founders of the United Nations.”
