Grey’s Anatomy cum Private Practice star Kate Walsh married movie executive Alex Young on Saturday.
Kate, 39, wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier wedding gown to the ceremony, where she exchanged vows with Alex, 36. The wedding was held at Ojai Presbyterian Church in the town of Ojai north of Los Angeles and the reception was held at Spanish-style estate Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s Casa Elar.
Guests included Grey’s co-stars Katherine Heigl (with fiance Josh Kelley), Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez (she was in the wedding party) and Justin Chambers (with wife Keisha), as well as the show’s creator Shonda Rhimes. Also in the mix were The O.C.’s Tate Donovan, actress Kate Beckinsale and her director hubby Len Wiseman.
According to People, a gospel choir sang “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts at the beginning of the ceremony.

At first, I wish Kate and Alex all the best (personally I think they married too soon, but I hope it will last).
And second, we only see like 5 pictures of her - so how will you know she isn’t happy? Maybe these were just some moments where the stress was too much. A wedding isn’t that easy to handle and its just natural to look a bit stressed and upset. And I’ll bet you wouldn’t look happier if a helicopter is flying over your heads on such a private day!

Maybe in cali its so rare they don’t come up with a back up plan. I got married in new Orleans, we were supposed to have the reception in a New Orleans hotel courtyard but had it in their banquet hall instead. I wasn’t upset but my groom was!

I think the umbrealls are just protecting the bride & groom from the helicopters - you can tell the first lot of pics are taken overhead. I’d be annoyed if that happened to me LOL.

It was quite a small wedding party - only 100 guests - which isn’t many between 2 people when you include family. Kate probably only invited her close friends on the Greys cast which include those that turned up.
She always hung out with Justin, Sara, Katherine & TR, so it is only right they are there. She’s friendly with Ellen & Patrick, but they’re not best buds, so why invite them ? I find it funny how people read something into it LOL.
Ellen is the title character in GA and Sandra is a critically acclaimed and award winning actress so I doubt they really care or are upset over KW’s new show that looks to be really boring. I don’t think much should be made out of who was there and who wasn’t. Its ok if the whole cast aren’t bff.

I look at her face and it seems she doesn’t know that this is supposed to be a happy day. The groom looks happier than she does. He appears to be coaxing her into being happy. Not a good way to begin a relationship. She appears to be pretending; only able to fake a smile when the official photographer dictates it.
She recently said she had a bridezilla moment about something to do with the wedding. I wonder if she is unhappy because something didn’t go off as planned. If this is so, she had better learn quickly that not everything in life goes as we plan. This is a lesson she should try to learn quickly if this marriage produces children; or lasts long enough to produce children.

A wonderful, wonderful life to Kate Walsh and Alex Young. They looked so beautiful and Kate looked a bit emotional but so what.She will be kicking her heels at her party.

katherine heigl as usual, looked gorgeous. I love her gown..so elegant and fitted her beautifully. The smoking spoiled the image a bit.

All the men had their jackets on, why not Josh? He looked messy, hot and bothered. I really want to do a make-over with this guy because he can look good. In this situation , Katherine looked elegant, he looked messy.
Seriously ,Josh looked quite a bit like my ex-boyfriend except he was not as messy as Josh..being Italian,he dressed really well.

There’s a helicopter circling their wedding, if that wouldn’t put any of you a little off on your big day, I don’t know. Not to mention the stress and emotions that comes with a wedding! They both look STUNNING (love her dress!) and of course they’re in love, why marry someone your not in love with??? There’s tons of candids of them holding hands and kissing around the net. They’re the cutest couple ever!!!! On this set there’s only like 4 pictures of her, how do you know she isn’t happy? Stupid *****.

Weddings can be stressful, that is true. But it is the duty of the wedding party and the photographers to get the bride perked up. I broke my right foot two days before the wedding, couldn’t wear shoes making me look a bit heavier in my dress, on strong pain killers to get through the function and limped all the way to the alter. Still my wedding party, especcially the groom’s men and the photgrapher kept making jokes and cracking me up. My photos are full of me laughing hard, being happy. My kids just love to see the video and mummy and daddy laughing silly.
If the official wedding pics were published, I’m sure there wouldn’t be all these comments about ‘happy’ v ‘non-happy’, cos I’m sure they would all be happy ones.
Wouldn’t you be annoyed if you were trying to have photos taken & there were 4 or 5 whirling helicopters hovering over your head, drowning out the talk ? I sure would be pissed !
And who cares who out of Greys attended ? Kate invited those she is most friendly with - Katherine, Sara, TR, Justin, Chandra & James PJ - & the two bosses - & they all came. She may have been work colleagues with Patrick & Ellen, but those two never hang out with the rest of the posse so it’s no surprise there not there.
Kate & Alex are obviously head over heels in love, as proved by the many photos of them together. Weddings are hugely stressful events - it was reported that Kate was very emotional when saying her vows, & what with moving into a new house, a new show etc, I’m not surprised if it got too much for her. She must be flat out exhausted.
And big events like these always remind you of people that no longer are with you & Kate has talked in the past about her late dad. I’m sure she was thinking about him too.

Interesting choice, the Rascal Flatts song. If you read the lyrics, seems like it would have made a better choice if she had married John Dennis, her previous long-term boyfriend, whom she knew as a child and then re-connected with later as an adult.
Well, if the new show doesn’t make it, she can have a baby. If the marriage doesn’t make it, she’ll probably still get a film career out of it.
I have to find a person that has met her for more than a few seconds that hasn’t a nice thing to say about Kate. Even extras say she is ultra nice.
She also comes off as a very sensitive,all raw emotion hidden under that funny girl persona.
That is why I get ticked with all the bashing, she is one of the good ones, that payed her dues, and had to work hard to get here. She got work recognition before she got fame. It wasn’t the other way around.
She doesn’t give interviews being judgmental about others, she doesn’t ever complain about her life or the fact that it took her 10 years in Hollywood to get were she obviously deserves to be. She never had nothing but kind words about all the cast of GA, that even after jealousy and bitterness in the set about the spin off.
She is one of the genuine good ones, and comes with a brain. Lets thank god for that wonderful combination.
Let’s put it this way. If the marriage lasts, it will have beaten verrrryyyyy looonnnngg odds. 50% of couples still divorce; of the 50% don’t, half of them are probably miserable but still together. That leaves 25% who are at at least “happy.” 4 months of dating is not long. Especially in Hollywood where they work 16 hour days, then do press junkets. 4 months dating in Hollywood time is probably like 45 days tops. Who knows? It’s all a crapshoot. I’ve known people who kew each other 3 months, got married, stayed toegther for 12 years then got divorced. And I’ve known people who dated for 7 years, got married and split within 18 months. I don’t know, after only 4 months though, seems like a grand inaftuation. Like maybe she’s just caught up in her “new life” these days. What’s it all about Alfie?

It showed the same pics we have seen from the paps and gave the details we already know. It showed footage of KH and TR going to the brunch/pool party yesterday. The paps were yelling questions out at them about the wedding. KH said the wedding was beautiful as well as TR. They asked about Kate and KH said she looked beautiful. TR said she looked gorgeous and gushed a little. At the end of the show, they showed the Neil Lane specially made designs of the wedding bands. Kate’s was covered in all diamonds.

How old are you people anyway — I figure the average age of the vehement “Kate lovers” here must be 13 because you cannot deal with an opinion different than your own. There are a lot of people who don’t like her — get used to it. You will have a very hard life if you expect everyone to agree with you or not say anything at all because it upsets you. The world does not revolve around you — and other than mommy, daddy, and your BFF, no one is going to take extra special care of your ego.
Neutral and “negative” people are just as entitled to their opinions as you are yours. She does not LOOK happy (I may not be inside her head but I can sure tell how someone’s face lets onto their emotions). I think the dress is @s$. As for her quickie engagement and marriage, it seems exceptionally foolish. Real life experience will tell you that this is not a sound plan for a lasting relationship. The once you factor in the absurd world that is Hollywood, their chances get even worse.

Dude kate looked amazing! I would be a little unhappy if I got married in 100 degree weather. Kate had to be escorted out of the church in the middle of her vows because she almost passed out. She’ incredibly happy. She was miserable. It was soo hot.
