Grey’s Anatomy cum Private Practice star Kate Walsh married movie executive Alex Young on Saturday.
Kate, 39, wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier wedding gown to the ceremony, where she exchanged vows with Alex, 36. The wedding was held at Ojai Presbyterian Church in the town of Ojai north of Los Angeles and the reception was held at Spanish-style estate Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s Casa Elar.
Guests included Grey’s co-stars Katherine Heigl (with fiance Josh Kelley), Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez (she was in the wedding party) and Justin Chambers (with wife Keisha), as well as the show’s creator Shonda Rhimes. Also in the mix were The O.C.’s Tate Donovan, actress Kate Beckinsale and her director hubby Len Wiseman.
According to People, a gospel choir sang “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts at the beginning of the ceremony.

It was quite a small wedding party - only 100 guests - which isn’t many between 2 people when you include family. Kate probably only invited her close friends on the Greys cast which include those that turned up.
She always hung out with Justin, Sara, Katherine & TR, so it is only right they are there. She’s friendly with Ellen & Patrick, but they’re not best buds, so why invite them ? I find it funny how people read something into it LOL.
Ellen is the title character in GA and Sandra is a critically acclaimed and award winning actress so I doubt they really care or are upset over KW’s new show that looks to be really boring. I don’t think much should be made out of who was there and who wasn’t. Its ok if the whole cast aren’t bff.
With that said, I wish KW and her new hubby the best.
oh dear. she looks unhappy, indifferent & unresponsive to alex’s affection. maybe it’s the stress & wedding jitters. he did propose to her after they’d only been dating for 3 months. alex on the other hand looks blown away with love.

Kate does not look bored or unhappy, she looks pissed that the paps were flying helicopters over her wedding, that would have stressed me out too, in the wedding party shots you can clearly see her glowing and smiling quite happily, are you people blind or something?

call me cynical but i think her sudden success & her upcoming 40th b’day (a scary prospect for all girls, esp the unmarried ones) has left her in a daze & had her confusing lust, crush, strong-like with “through sickness & in health”

I agree, every bride is stressed the actual day of the wedding.
That’s just the way things are. It’s a stressful thing. all that planning.
but I do believe that Kate was totally happy and ready for what their future has in store for both of them.
There’s not a doubt in my mind that she doesn’t love him, and that he doesn’t love her. We all know that she does and so does he.
