Maggie Gyllenhaal strips down to her lingerie as the new face (and body) for lingerie line Agent Provocateur.

Serena Rees, co-founder of Agent Provocateur, said: “Maggie is not an obvious sex symbol. She is interesting looking, confident and beautiful in a way that is non-threatening, which makes her appealing to men and women alike.”

Maggie, 29, replaced supermodel Kate Moss as Provocateur spokesmodel.

Lucky girl. In a world of Hollywood where looks are everything, she lucked out and became a star - she has nothing in the beauty department. Nothing. There are women 100 times more talented adn more beautiful. And many more beautiful walking down the street but who gets the fashion spread deal? Miss Fug herself. Why didn’t Jake do the spread? He’s super hot.

I’m all for promoting intelligent, talented and artistic minded women to push the blond/blue eyed center folds aside and take center stage! I just wish these photographs were more visually convincing. I find Maggie to be absolutely beautiful in her own way, therefore the photographer and the editor did not do their job by painting around Maggie, they simply put her in their own canvas - figuratively speaking.

Very Sexy! Not ****** or salacious. Its provocative and I’d buy it all if Agent Provacatuer wasn’t so ridiculously expensive. Who wants to take out a loan to buy a bra and some knickers?
But kudos to Maggie for being game for something different, she wears it all well.

See Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t classically pretty, however, she is damn sexy and can pull of sexy any day of the week. Maggie is just ugly and doesn’t ooze an ounce of sex appeal.

They should have gone with someone else.

I didn’t say she was “classically pretty” however I wouldn’t call her ugly either. Eye of the beholder and all, shheeesshh! I DO find the ads sexy, so sue me. I’m just glad I don’t have to look at another Brazilian bikini model when shopping for my hand washables.

Please note I didn’t say I found MG attractive (though I do, sorry if it inexplicably offends you). I wrote that I thought it was sexy. Sex and sexy are not the exclusive domain of the “classically pretty”. If that were the case a lot less people would be getting laid.

I like all the pics EXCEPT for the one chosen by Jared to be the main pic. She looks bad-weird there I think. All the other ones are very good, reminiscent of classic Hollywood, right down to the poses.
