Maggie Gyllenhaal strips down to her lingerie as the new face (and body) for lingerie line Agent Provocateur.
Serena Rees, co-founder of Agent Provocateur, said: “Maggie is not an obvious sex symbol. She is interesting looking, confident and beautiful in a way that is non-threatening, which makes her appealing to men and women alike.”
Maggie, 29, replaced supermodel Kate Moss as Provocateur spokesmodel.

WTF? She is pretty, she got hot body. But that make-up is fugly!! It ruins whole look.
Okay, I tend to think Maggie is a uniquely attractive woman, however. These photos… I’m not exactly sure what they were trying to accomplish because she is DEFINITELY not a “sex symbol”. Though she has played some provacative roles, I can’t really imagine her posing in lingerie. That said, the photos just look SO awkward to me. The last one is nice, but the turban one… ehhh. She looks SO old. The rest are just… weird.

Let agree to disagree…I think all thos elasdies you mentioned are exceptionl, but there comes a new generation and I bleive Maggie has the potential to be equal to those women and even better.

In my humble opinion I think she is one of the best of her generation and of OUR TIME…Streep, Close etc are beyond my time..
Also sometimes some of the greatest women were not necessarily good, they just got first dips at the script because they are well liked or sexingup the old hollywood studio heads and got an oscar power, once they get voted into the league by the men and women they were *******…
wow, she is SOOOOOO sexy! There is something positively vintage about her that makes her look like one of those period pinup girls. Though she doesn’t have the typical 20th century look and body type that we’re used to idolizing, she really looks luscious and provocative. Very good choice for the lingerie in question.

The only reason why they got Maggie, is to get into the american market and frankly, when one looks at the success of Victoria”s secrets, I wouldn’t be surprised that their - sorry for the choice of terminology- crap would sell even more! It sells here in the UK and frankly, polyester kinky is not sexy!

she has got a HOT body and she also is a fantastic actress her face isn’t that pretty but she isn’t ugly either.
Maggie is a lousy actress. All she does is get naked and have sex scenes onscreen. She is so ugly and she is a beeeyotch to people.

Lucky girl. In a world of Hollywood where looks are everything, she lucked out and became a star - she has nothing in the beauty department. Nothing. There are women 100 times more talented adn more beautiful. And many more beautiful walking down the street but who gets the fashion spread deal? Miss Fug herself. Why didn’t Jake do the spread? He’s super hot.
I’m all for promoting intelligent, talented and artistic minded women to push the blond/blue eyed center folds aside and take center stage! I just wish these photographs were more visually convincing. I find Maggie to be absolutely beautiful in her own way, therefore the photographer and the editor did not do their job by painting around Maggie, they simply put her in their own canvas - figuratively speaking.
