Halle Berry: Yes, I am Pregnant!

So far, most people here have been very nice about this news.

Of course, this is a great day for me! I have been waiting and waiting for some new information about this couple for months now. Every day I’d only read about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Of course, I love them too, but I can personally relate more to Halle Berry and I just think she’s so sweet.

Get ready… the black males will be the angriest, but so what? They said for over a year now that Gabriel Aubry was “shooting blanks” or that he was gay, etc. Well, what do they have to say now?

They’ll come up with some other gripe about Gabriel and Halle. Maybe they will bash her for not getting married again or claim that Gabriel doesn’t really want her. It’s always something.

I’m so deliriously happy. I’m just praying that all goes well with Halle’s pregnancy and that she delivers a healthy baby. That’s what I care about right now.

I keep thinking about what this child could look like. The baby will no doubt have beautiful skin. I hope it has a little of Halle’s tan color, but more of Gabriel’s fine features. If it is a boy, I hope it totally looks like Gabriel. He has a masculine face. He has piercing eyes and a fantastic sculpted jawline - good looks for a son.

Thandie Newton is cute, her husband is decent-looking and their children are adorable. I honestly don’t see how Gabriel and Halle’s genes can ever go wrong.

What can I say? I’m just a happy clam and I cannot wait!

Talking about race, have some of you forgotten that Halle Berry is half white herself? She could easily say she’s white. She has a strong white feature that she got from her mom although her skin tone is darker.

congrats to halle and gabriel both. they are beautiful people, apparently very happy to have each other. so happy for them both. hally finally has the happiness she deserves.

I’m a man and I don’t have kids but even I know it’s not just how attractive kids look that make them so attractive. I’m surprised by many of the comments here, seemingly from some mothers. C’mon guys, every baby lights up a room. There is no hiding there, just pure being. And when they realize that, it’s over.

A CHILD is embarrassed if his parents live together happily in a committed relationship? But apparently that child is thrilled to death when parents are together and miserable just because they have kids, or they get divorced. Riiiighhtt!! Children are happy when two loving parents are there, regardless of any anachronistic ceremony.

What fantasy world are you living in? A happy marriage that lasts a lifetime is a rare, rare, anomaly. Most people still married after the kids have grown up want to divorce but don’t want to break the habit of their current unhappy lifestyle, or they do go ahead and get divorced. Very rarely are people still in love and the union still a worthwhile one. Just because someone is married does NOT mean it’s a happy commitment! And TWO failed marriages already for Halle should tell you that even with your tiny awareness of real life. Obviously, marriage didn’t hold those relationships together, or make them happy, equal partnerships.

Marriage has always been a means to keep family unions together, to create a traceable social fabric. It was not meant as a happy partnership. Nowadays, we are not marrying daughters off as business transactions, or trying to keep nuclear families looking like an episode of Leave it to Beaver. There is more understanding of how destructive unhappy unions are. And happy ones are not cemented by a ritual. They come from the heart, soul, and mind of the two people involved.

Forcing people to marry who don’t want to, or disparaging people for not marrying, is narrow-minded and judgemental. I hope you grow up and are never in an unhappy marriage, but you might be too shallow to realize how unhappy your spouse is and will be shocked when the divorce comes.

Congrats to the new expectant couple. Go Halle I know you are FINALLY happy to see Halle pregnant. You’re probably right that Black men and the other haters will probably find something else to find fault with him/them or still keep to their claims–but F’em (pardon my French). At least, Eric made a public congratulations–glad to see they’ve patched their communications and made peace–at least he won’t be blamed anymore for the hate.

Halle & Gabe-best wishes for having a safe/healthy pregnancy and a healthy babe and a happy life together. I am sure he will continue to do right by you.

I just wanted to be heard. First and foremost, pregnancies are supposed to be 40 weeks. If there are typically 4 weeks in a month, you end up with 10 months. I’ve never understood why everybody always says 9 months when it’s 10.

Halle is mixed. Her mother is white; her father is black. So what if she’s with a white man? All that matters is that he treats her right, she’s happy, and he’ll be there for her and that baby. He could be neon green for all I care.

And beautiful parents do not equate to a beautiful child. Please people, remember that it’s about genetics, and when you mix facial features together, they don’t always come out right. I’ve seen beautiful parents with ugly children and vice versa. Nothing is for sure.

So let’s not make this into more than it is. A woman and her partner are having a child. Be happy for her and hope that her pregnancy and ensuing birth go well and she has no complications.

Let me just say that I was beyond thrilled when I heard the news of the pregnancy! I.ve been waiting for this to happen since they became a couple. I’ve been a fan of both for a long time. I wish them a safe and healthy pregnancy, and a beautiful baby. As for the haters, grow up, become more open-minded, and get over it! Don’t mess up this happy event.

Just because a couple is having a baby together doesn’t mean that they are happy and committed. nice try! and no I’m not shallow, I just have morals. The majority of people that I know have had wonderful happy marriages, and yes at times marriage is hard but you get through it. I am pretty sure you have not had many good examples of a loving married couples in your life. Fortunately I have. Any way, I am happy for halle, a baby is a beautiful blessing. God bless them.

Well if that’s true not only can they be sued but fired and the place they work subject to fines and penalties. They can also lose all their business because what woman would go there if that was known? No one would. I doubt it is true because a lot of these ignorant yahoos who all think they are doctors can not comprehend that a 40-41 y/o woman can become pregnant naturally. It is not impossible as they yahoos w/ no medical background belive. furthermore, diabetics get pregnant and have children all the time w/ no problems. There are different types of diabetics. Those that are brittle diabetics, who have a difficult time controlling their blood glucose levels are the ones at high risk. Also, chance for birth defects do go up after 35 but not that much again until after 45. The greater odds are she will have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. There’s always these peopel who can’t be happy for any one and must place false negative information.
