Nicole Kidman bares all for the October 2007 cover of Vanity Fair, as photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. Here are some highlights:
On her miscarriage while still married to then-husband Tom Cruise: “From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that’s when it came that we would adopt Bella.”
On hubby Keith Urban’s rehab stint: “I’ve learned an enormous amount having a relationship with someone who is in recovery. I’m more than willing to walk it with him. … We were in a very, very, very bad, painful place and have managed to step through it, and I hope that gives some people some hope who may be in the same place. And that’s enough said. Anything else is overindulgent and unnecessary right now.”
On handling a long-distance relationship: “Two weeks is still too long for us (to be apart). We like one week. We start to hurt after seven days.”
On having kids with Urban.: “I’m yearning to have one. I think I would be very sad if I wasn’t able to have a baby. Keith knows I want one, and he has been getting there slowly.”
On her children with ex Tom Cruise: Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12: “I called Tom (from Australia) and said, ‘Guess what? Bella wants blue hair.’ I go with my daughter to the hair salon to get it dyed blue, and I look at her and I think, My God, it’s cool!”
On her personality traits: “I get engaged and I get married — that’s my thing,” Kidman says after revealing that she was engaged to a man she declined to identify after her split from Cruise and before she hooked up with Urban. “I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready.”
Nicole’s Vanity Fair issue hits newsstands in NY/LA on Wednesday and nationwide September 11. The baby-in-the-jacket shot is the hotness!!!! (It’s her niece Sybella.)

What hypocrisy…
There isn’t a woman on this site, including the beloved angelina that has not exploited their bodies in the name of fashion, media, and magazine covers. And they are just portraying a sign of the times, what is the difference when women walk onto a beach in a bikini/thong for free, vs. getting paid millions? it is all to attract a certain type of attention… (men included) so lets leave discussions of talent and intellect out, since these pics don’t embrace either. Look at keira knightly’s dress… btw, what is feminism? :) its all a joke.
#96 you wonder what her children think about this photo… Well I wonder what Connor and Bella think about there father getting a girl 17 years younger than him pregnant and moving her into the house with his young and underage children. Does Connor think it’s okay to get a girl pregnant and not be married to her… Does Bella think pre-marital sex an unwed pregnancy is okay… Tom is setting a bad example.

I think Nicole Kidman is one of the best if not the best actress out there. She is versatile and just plain awesome. I felt very very sorry when Tom Divorced her because he said “Nic knows EXACTLY why we are divorcing. I wanted to cry for her. I do not like the exposure-I think it’s a bad idea. Your talent should always speak for itself-If matters are private let them stay-that’s one of the first rules-deny deny deny-never elaborate on private issues-I still say she has a royal like classy aura to her! I can’t believe how many woman bash Nicole Kidman for being brave, assertive, aggressive, bold, forthright, honest about her feelings, etc. How many feel sorry for her for being left by Tom Cruise, etc.
No wonder women always play second fiddle to men!

there are some really good, classy photos in this shoot - they could have used a photo of her in a white swimsuit, she looks like Grace Kelly in it. Instead they made her look cheap-it’s not even the bra, it’s her expression. I bet she regrets trusting the photographer here. There is no need for an actress of her caliber to do the dumb blonde routine in order to get the cover–we expect Nicole to exude class and glamour. I wish she really opened up about Cruise–THAT would sell papers, guaranteed!

The complicated background she is talking about I think is that she had an ectopic pregnancy, and in 1991 was hospitalized for removal of scar tissue.

She doesn’t really talk about how many miscarriages she had but I’m sure it must be a few, seeing that she wanted a bio child so bad. The fact that she had a miscarriage early in her fist marriage isn’t news, if you google it you will find she suffered an ectopic pregnancy, a miscarriage and infertility problems in the past and that makes it more difficult for her to get pregnant.

It was so classy how she kept quiet about her and Tom but now she is doing what Jennifer Aniston did. Its obvious she is still in love with Tom…its been 7 yrs since their divorce she should get over it and move on with her life.

WOW! Everyone seems to think the know what is right for her! I like Nicole. She tries..like MOST people. She is way more human to me then Nazi Tiny Tom any day. I don’t like that Tom has the kids most of the time, but what business is it of mine. I think if you are more worried about her then yourself, then you need to find a life. ASAP!
the reason he has the kids more than she does is because they prefer to be with him. she says it herself in THIS VERY ARTICLE. her very own words…makes you wonder why kids don’t want to spend as much time with their own mother as they do their dad.
Talk about PLUMP lips, eh? Look at older pics… thin lips, what… do we think with age, lips get plumper? NOT. Somethings not right, her saying Keith’s “warming up” to the kids thing? Not good. Him saying he wants her “just the two of them” for now… they’ll probaly use all their millions to hire a suragate so her precious chalky white body won’t be disfigured carrying a love child… ICK… this whole story makes me puke.

We don’t need to feel depressed or be accused of being a bad mother,or in somebodies eyes be called a stupid person.I’m a big fan of Nicole but I don’t think she intended to start this sort of “Comment-war”,this is just wrong.We want peace on earth?But how can we achieve this,if we not even able to be respectful to each other because of some picture!
