Nicole Kidman bares all for the October 2007 cover of Vanity Fair, as photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. Here are some highlights:
On her miscarriage while still married to then-husband Tom Cruise: “From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that’s when it came that we would adopt Bella.”
On hubby Keith Urban’s rehab stint: “I’ve learned an enormous amount having a relationship with someone who is in recovery. I’m more than willing to walk it with him. … We were in a very, very, very bad, painful place and have managed to step through it, and I hope that gives some people some hope who may be in the same place. And that’s enough said. Anything else is overindulgent and unnecessary right now.”
On handling a long-distance relationship: “Two weeks is still too long for us (to be apart). We like one week. We start to hurt after seven days.”
On having kids with Urban.: “I’m yearning to have one. I think I would be very sad if I wasn’t able to have a baby. Keith knows I want one, and he has been getting there slowly.”
On her children with ex Tom Cruise: Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12: “I called Tom (from Australia) and said, ‘Guess what? Bella wants blue hair.’ I go with my daughter to the hair salon to get it dyed blue, and I look at her and I think, My God, it’s cool!”
On her personality traits: “I get engaged and I get married — that’s my thing,” Kidman says after revealing that she was engaged to a man she declined to identify after her split from Cruise and before she hooked up with Urban. “I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready.”
Nicole’s Vanity Fair issue hits newsstands in NY/LA on Wednesday and nationwide September 11. The baby-in-the-jacket shot is the hotness!!!! (It’s her niece Sybella.)

WOW! Everyone seems to think the know what is right for her! I like Nicole. She tries..like MOST people. She is way more human to me then Nazi Tiny Tom any day. I don’t like that Tom has the kids most of the time, but what business is it of mine. I think if you are more worried about her then yourself, then you need to find a life. ASAP!
the reason he has the kids more than she does is because they prefer to be with him. she says it herself in THIS VERY ARTICLE. her very own words…makes you wonder why kids don’t want to spend as much time with their own mother as they do their dad.
Talk about PLUMP lips, eh? Look at older pics… thin lips, what… do we think with age, lips get plumper? NOT. Somethings not right, her saying Keith’s “warming up” to the kids thing? Not good. Him saying he wants her “just the two of them” for now… they’ll probaly use all their millions to hire a suragate so her precious chalky white body won’t be disfigured carrying a love child… ICK… this whole story makes me puke.
Nicole looks more radiant now than she was when she was married to Tom. I wish her all the best! I sure hope she’s going to have that biological baby she’s desperately wanted for so long.

She’s too old to be posing like this. She’s seems to be desperate to revitalize a declining career. She’s been divorced from Tom Cruise for nearly seven years and shouldn’t have to ride his coat tails any longer. Bringing up Tom and a previous engagement is just an attempted to make the readers think she is a desirable woman. If she respected her current husband, she wouldn’t bring up her now distant past in an interview, and if she respected her children, she wouldn’t pose like a 2-bit floozy on the cover of a magazine.
she is not too old, people who think she is too old to pose like that must be JEALOUS that she look hot and beautiful but you who are younger look like you are in your fat 60s housewife.

A declining career?Well,the invasion wasn’t the best thats right but there are so many good and profound movies coming out like Margot at the wedding,which is achiving good kritics at Telluride film festival,The Golden Compass where she gives an awesome performance and not to forget the reader,a highly respected novel,that she is going to shoot!

i am in my 30’s and i am far from jealous of nicole. i’m just as thin as nicole. i don’t think she’s old at the age of 40, but i do think this is distasteful to pose like this. so please don’t call those of us who think she shouldn’t pose like this fat and old and look like we are in our 60’s. it just goes to show how ignorant some of you really are. you assume we are jealous of her body, when in reality, we could be just as thin. i am happy with my body, thin, have been all my life. but i wouldn’t go around taking my shirt off on covers of magazines.

Do you want to know how photoshopped that cover shot is? Compare her chest in that picture to the picture in the white bathing suit. They gave her boobs in the cover shot - fake boobs all the way (not to mention many other things) on that cover shot!

So what if the cover shot was photoshopped? It was the magazine editor’s decision to do that. At least this is proof that she has not gotten a boob job, contrary to what some naysayers have been saying.
Also the magazines are notorious for airbrushing all their cover shots and glossy pictures. They do that to almost all the actresses. So all you NK haters out there, the next time you spout that ‘botox’ word, think ‘photoshop’ and ‘airbrushing’ instead. Nicole has some very faint wrinkles in her candid photos and in person, but she looks beautiful nevertheless.
Her forehead doesn’t move in those “non photoshopped” pics either. She is the queen of botox! I remember my favorite pic. Christmas in OZ. Her and Keith at the movie theater. Her hair in those stupid pigtails with white flowers on them. That little girl dress and that huge shiny forehead to light their way.. aww good memories..lol

I have grown up with Nicole Kidman on television here in Australia (BMX Bandits, anyone) and I can promise you she never, EVER had lips like that. That woman has had some serious lip fillers over the past couple of years!

I find it sad that some women on here are so offended by her in a bra on the cover. She is covered up, and is not a grotesque picture. I find that people with low self esteem tend to react this way to a beautiful woman no matter what she wears, says or does. So sad…. I hope you guys can overcome that low self esteem. As for Nicole, she is beautiful and smart and classy.
