Brad Pitt takes the Fall 2007 cover of V Magazine, as photographed by the wonderful Mario Testino. Here are some highlights from the V magazine interview by Christopher Bollen:
I know you’re in Prague right now, but the Fourth of July was yesterday. Did you celebrate it? No, we missed it here. But when you have four kids, every day is the Fourth of July.
Has becoming a father transformed your life? Yeah. It’s hilarious. It’s the funniest, most lovely thing I’ve ever taken on. And the biggest pain in the ass as well [laughs] And I couldn’t go back. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.
Do you find it upsetting how the media still has an obsessive interest in linking Jen and Angelina? It’s so manufactured. We don’t pay attention to it. I hear that they drag my mo into it. She doesn’t deserve any of this. She is the most open, loving woman you’ll ever come across. They make things up and make money off of it. I am surprise about that.
There is a popular idea that you lured the paparazzi to Africa when Angelina gave birth to spotlight problems there. Was that really purposeful? It’s fourfold. For one, we know that’s going to happen so it becomes a plus. It’s all about cost and gain, plusses and minuses. Two, and most importantly, we loved the idea of our daughter being born on another continent, something she’ll be able to have roots in as well and want to explore as she gets older. That was the preeminent factor for us. Three, we knew that they had very strong privacy laws there. And we knew there was going to be a huge bounty on our heads and we were going to get very little peace unless we went to a place like that. And four, it happened to be a place that we loved.

Okay, so I see the trolls are still lacking reading comprehension skills. It’s pretty obvious from this interview that he and Angelina are a team - making decisions together and living their life as they want to. It’s also incredibly obvious that despite anything Brad or Angelina says, some people are going to insist on believing what the tabloids manufacture, even when they are being given the truth, straight from Brad’s mouth!
At the end of the day, Angie and Brad will just keep on keeping on and living their purpose driven life, despite the storm of controversy that the media insists on whipping up on a daily basis. So as a ‘consumer’ of the media, everyone has a choice to make: keep on believing the lies, perpetuating the myths, and letting the tabloids rip you off of your hard earned dollars and right to intelligent thoughts, or get with the program and see what an amazing family this is!
Well, I made my choice a long time ago and will never regret getting on the Brad and Angie train and living my own purpose driven life. As they say, like attracts like, so I know who I want to identify with in this situation - a woman who is a strong, intelligent mother, UNHCR Ambassador, a member of the FCR, and a talented award winning actress who has shown an amazing, compassionate, talented man what a beautiful life, family and future they have together.

But now I’m going to say something about the interview: Wtf?? His MOM doesn’t deserve it?? Yeah yeah yeah, I’m sure she’s a really nice person and all, but GMAFB. She was dragged into it a few times and then that was over. And though I’m not sure, I don’t think any of the tabloids said anything bad about his mommy. Who he really needed to defend here was Angie—she has been taking a beating from the media ever since she got with him. SHE was the one he needed to defend. *Sigh*. But I still love you, Brad.

When he says Angie is a fantastic mother on the video is that not defending the Angie loves the adopted kids more are does not love Shilo cries?
When he says in one of the interviews when asked about her weight that she is fine and the the mags over exaggerate is that not defending the angie weight issues?
When he talks about his choice to move away from his marrige independent of any feelings for Angie because his marriage was not working is that not defending the Angie is a homewrecker charges?

I don’t give a **** what you think about his acting. I think his acting in this movie was great.
Why won’t the triangle die??? WHY??? WHY???? I do think it’s interesting that JA hasn’t given an interview where she talked about brad, specifically, since vanity fair and here he is talking about her 3 years later.
Considering he said NOTHING about her the first two years after the split, it is ironic and definitely appears to be a tactic to get mainstream people on “his” side.
And, as usual, Brand-gelina was NOTHING to do with the media, with interviews, etc. But boy, when they have a movie coming up, they will tell you anything you want to know about their kids, their travels, their sex lives, their “work” with non-profit stuff and most importantly, flap their stupid gums about themselves. Anything to sell a few movie tickets. The loonies are drooling, the rest of us are chuckling.

I thought the same thing too.
And if you look at her people’s recent denial about the Shiloh meeting and her yet-to-be uttered defense of Jane Pitt, who was supposedly an important person to her, a great friend and whatnot, you would think that a defense of a ‘friend’ would have taken higher priority.

Thanks to all who are voting. He’s doesn’t have to win because frankly when you’re at the top there’s only one other way to go and that’s down. Why is he still talking about Jennifer?
She is the only one not bringing this **** up anymore. I am not her fan, by far, but the loons go on and on about the VF article she put out, but that was right after the split. This is like years later. Jolie has even brought it up recently. They should just say “no comment, different time in life” I think their giult causes them to answer.

What a nice interview. I like the Details one better but I’ll reserve judgement until I read the complete V article. I can’t stand that the reporters bring up someone from his past but what are you gonna do?
