David Beckham: I’m a Bad Armchair Fan

David Beckham has vented his frustrations over the injuries both of his legs have suffered via his official blog:

“Last week was an incredibly frustrating one as far as football goes. To get back to fitness and then get injured again so quickly is very disappointing, but I’ll be doing everything I can to get back playing as soon as possible. I’ve started the rehabilitation process and I’m working hard to get back on the pitch again.

Of course, I’m disappointed that I won’t be joining up with the England squad, but I wish the lads all the best for the qualifiers.

There’s definitely enough quality to get the right results against Israel and Russia, and although I’m the first to admit I’m not the best armchair fan I’ll be cheering on the lads from home.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll keep you posted on how things go with my recovery.

Beckham is a waste of money. the man is past his prime and not nearly as good as he once was. Should he be a fall of famer? maybe someday. should he be respected? sure. should he play? might have well he’s a decent player. Should he be the biggest guy in the leauge and media MVP? NO!

There are a lot of talented players who’d kill to have Beckham’s salary. lots of guys who deserve it. Beckham’s lucky he only got injured. some player is going to try to make his name as “the man who ended Beckham’s career”. and there are much worse things then a knee injury.

First of all, the ignorance on this post is just out of control. Get an education. Second of all, we from the US call the game “soccer”, the english call it “football”… Neither is right, neither is wrong, so shut the f*ck up about it. If you idiots continue, then let’s go all the way… “French fries” are no longer, now it’s “chips”… “Guys”, nope, now it’s “Blokes”… Can’t call anyone an “ass” anymore, now it’s “****”! I could go on all day, it is not the same country. We would expect an italian player who came here to say “Calcio”.

Lastly, Beckham is not famous for being a great player, if you think that, you don’t know anything about the game, or have never seen him play a whole game. He is good at accurate crosses (passes) that is it. He is as big as he is for #1 being good looking, #2 marrying a spice girl, #3 wh*ring himself & his family out to the media… He’ll never be huge in America & neither will SOCCER!

the U.S. is so weird, the rest of the world calls it football only the US calls it soccer. Also, I wonder why the US male football/soccer team never get that far during any World Cup.

The Galaxy are idiots for paying this overrated old soccer player all that money. They could have spent all those $$ on better players than him.

He’s not even gone to LA for the football, for this Beckham family its all about being celebrities. They are media wh*res.

If he was ugly no one would even bother with him, and he certianly wouldn’t even get a mention in the footballing world.

Davey needs to STFU. Who the f*ck are the beckhams trying to kid? So he’s supposed to be injured, but that didn’t stop him and his fugly wife launching their new perfume last night! We are not idiots Becks. You might be able to fool people in England, but not here!

I can’t believe the comment you made about Romeo being ugly. For a start, what the hell is wrong with brown eyes? Many of the people regarded beautiful/handsome in this world have brown eyes. Catherine Zeta Jones, Beyonce, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Pete Wentz, Ashton Kutcher, Orlando Bloom.
So yeah, that was a really idiotic comment. Romeo clearly has an attractive face and so do Cruz and Brooklyn, regardless of whether they have upturned noses or not.
