OlderMarc Jacobs Taps Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad dines out at Il Sole restaurant in West Hollywood with Frankie Delgado (Brody Jenner’s sidekick) on Tuesday night.
Wearing a pair of uber-tight jeans, Lauren, who has just launched her own fashion line, waited with Frankie for the valet to bring their car to the front.
In fashion news, Lauren is continuing to make it big. Marc Jacobs has tapped The Hills star to walk runway for the designer but some of the veteran models are apparently a little tiffed.
“Marc hired Lauren Conrad to do his show, so now all the real models have to sign releases for TV if they want to be in his show - which of course they do,” said a NY Post insider. “They are very put out that Marc succumbed to putting on one of ‘those shows’ - you know, the publicity shows.”

I just lost a little respect for Marc Jacobs, but knowing Marc he might be using her to make a point about the worthless/meaninglessness of celebrity. She in no way represents what Marc Jabos has traditionally defined as his type of girl. Look at his ads and read anything he’s ever spoken in an interview. So I expect her to be some sort of commentary on society if the rumor is even true.

Secondly, I think this was misinterpreted the Page Six article that this was taken from mentioned she would be working for him during fashion week. Obviously not on the runway, behind the scenes, buy a clue… how in the hell would she ever make it on a runway during fashion week - not a chance in HELL!
