I do love this family however can anyone explain to me how you sign up a child for school and then pull them to go traveling? If Maddox is enrolled in this school shouldn’t he finish most of the school year there? How do you drag a child from school to school? If your going to do that for crying out loud have the children home schooled - there’s more stability there. I would be shocked if her children stayed in one place for more than a few months….Although I agree with her and Brad’s efforts to help other countries but now that you have kids you have to be there for them. THAT’S THE REASON YOU HAD CHILDREN! They have enough money - send an assistant to certain places to continue your good efforts but please keep your kids stable!

Brad Pitt says he is still friends with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston – and handled their breakup the best way he knew how.

“Jen and I still maintain a deep friendship and have a lot of life together that isn’t erased in any way,” the actor tells V magazine of the couple’s four-and-a-half year union, which ended in 2005.

“I don’t know how better to have handled [the split]. My view was, this was no one’s business in the end – at least in matters of the heart,” he says. “The thing guiding me then was, you don’t know how many days you have, and you need life to be everything you need it to be.”

For the rest of us in the world I applaud is diplomacy in the situation. I don’t think the words “deep friendship” should be taken so literally. I think that it simply means he has a deep respect for their “past” relationship (which was a friendship). Think of it of Brad offering Jen “an olive branch.” He could have stoop to her level and be passive agressive about the situation but given who he is, being the gentleman that he is, he was a grown up.

Did people ever think , it has been 2 years since the judge signed the divorce decree (divorce decree was signed 8/19/05) , may be he felt 2 years is enough time to give respect to this marriage. Now, 2 years later, or may be 3 years from the time separation was announced, it’s time to straighten the facts.

This school is probably the best option since it is international. Because they travel alot he can go to the same school in almost any country and he wouldn’t have to learn a new process, he can almost pick up right where he left off. If there is another entrance/exit with less exposure that would be nice but you know right or wrong this is the children”s life. There are going to be photogs where ever they go until things hopefully one day settle down, they need to learn to deal with that. The children need to learn how to block it out and go on with their daily lives, sad but true. If you shield them to much from it they will never adjust, it will never become common place and that will hurt them in the long run more than it will help them.

Based on the historical novel by Ron Hansen, the film touches on the way history and the media create heroes and monsters, asking what might have happened in the months and days leading up to the killing of Jesse James by Robert Ford, a 19-year-old member of the outlaw’s extended family of friends and associates in crime.

Ravishingly shot in an autumn-to-winter pallette by Roger Deakins and featuring a mesmeric central performance by Casey Affleck, solidly supported (whatever the poster says) by Brad Pitt, this is a mature, meticuolous work.

Most of the conversations and meetings portrayed here are pure speculation, but an illusion of veracity is created by the film’s unhurried chronological strucure, careful on-screen annotation of dates and locations, and drawling third-person narrative voice-over.

“He was growing into middle age” the opening voice-over tells us, with just the faintest hint of irony: and we see Pitt as Jesse James sitting comfortably at home, in a rocking chair, in a suburban home that seems to challenge our expectations of the Western genre.

But we are soon told that Jesse is still only 34 – and cut to the James gang’s last big train heist, in Blue Cut, Missouri, on 7 September 1881, 14 years after James’ first robbery and less than seven months before his death. James seems more at home here in the woods, surrounded by a band of outlaws – amateurs mostly, apart from Jesse’s older brother Frank (a gloriously grizzly Sam Shepard).

It’s at this point that young Robert Ford (Casey Affleck) approaches and asks to be taken on as one of the gang.

We get Ford at first glance: he has a whipped dog look in his eyes, but also a quick intelligence and deviousness. Jesse James is his hero: he has a collection of dime novels and newspaper clippings about the outlaw, who even before he was 30 was being portrayed as a Wild West Robin Hood.

James himself brushes off the legend that has built up around him, but he also seems secretly fascinated by it, caught in its headlights.

So begins an uneasy relationship between two unequal men: one a charismatic but suspicious loner who seems old and drained well before his time, the other a boy without any discernible qualities except a keen sense of resentment, stoked by continual teasings by his older brother and cousins, and an edge of psychosis, which prepares us for his transformation into that familiar figure, the fan who turns nasty – or the conflicted Judas figure compelled to shop the hero he worships.

Pitt is good, Affleck revelatory, suggesting depths of yearning behind Ford’s impotent, craven exterior and growing in strength and confidence as James moves in the opposite direction, from genial power to haunted desperation.

And the rest of the cast are strong too, from Sam Rockwell as Robert’s brother Charley to Paul Schneider as the backwoods poet and happy-go-lucky womaniser **** Liddil.

The West portrayed here is a place that encompasses both encroaching urbanisation and areas of untouched rural purity, ice-bound lakes and remote ranches that have an oneiric quality, like a painting by Andrew Wyeth.

DoP Deakins mixes widescreen epic landscapes with dark, intimate interiors, and certain scenes are shot with blurred edges, as as if through a bottle – a technique that is neatly explained towards the end, when we are reminded that photographs of Jesse James’ corpse were a popular attraction in peep shows and stereoscopes.

The soundtrack, by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, revolves around a lilting theme that changes orchestration as the film progresses, starting off in almost jaunty mode on what sounds like a vibraphone before gradually building to a full orchestral swell at the end.

Cave also puts in a cameo as a saloon strummer singing the Ballad of Jesse James – the song that more than anything, gave Robert Ford the bad PR image which Dominik’s fine second outing attempts, at least partly, to reverse.

I have been reading the comments on this site for about one year. It never seems to amaze me how many people think their opinion is the only one that matters. Most people that are looking at these pics and posts of the Jolie-Pitts, genuinely think they are honorable–why, because their actions speak louder than words. They are active in many facets of life, working for noble causes. They have nothing to prove to anyone, especially, any of us. They answer to no one but themselves, and the good Lord above. Enjoy the pictures for what they are, pictures. We cannot try to figure out what is going on in their relationship, why they have a particular expression on their face, etc. Don’t even waste energy reacting to people who choose to post opinions that are unkind. Remember why we look at the pictures and comments–because we think they are a beautiful couple and family, and because they are celebrities.

The only comment I am going to make on this subject today. After Jane’s visit when brad’s brother said that Jen and Brad were still friends so why shouldn’t they be her fans rejoiced. It was great, Brad didn’t hate JA like the B/A fans were saying, the family still loved her. Now all of a sudden Brad repeats the same thing and their is a problem. Which makes me think it isn’t the friends line that is a problem it is everything else he said. Haven’t you people ever heard of “childhood friends?” You put a child in any school even for a week or two - I bet that child will meet someone that they want to hang out with and become friends. But Nooooooo you two think it’s ok to just put your child in there and then yank them out.

Why such anger? As a mother I have a difficult time calling out another mother for her choices for her children. There is no ONE way to raise children. Attending the same school may be nice but there may be other issues that completely counteract that perceived advantage. And vice versa. What works for you may not work for others. I would not want to be separated from my partner for long periods of time. THAT is the relationship that is the core of my family. Not a six year old’s buddy at school.

Children of that age do not need to form life long “friendships.” Kids are always having short term friendships like at summer camp. The suggestion that at this young age this type of relationship is somehow needed - or even that children of this age are capable of that type of friendship - is just someone’s fantasy. Actually Maddox seems to have a friendship with Adam Pearl that transcends geography.

Angelina rarely brings anyone with her when she does her volunteer work in the field. So I’m not sure what you’re getting at about the Lycee Francais schools in poor areas of the globe. Some of her field visits are done during holidays like Beirut a few Christmases ago.

In any event, they seem to be healthy and happy and thriving as a family. All we do is see snippets under unusual and probably trying circumstances. Still we get gracious behavior by the parents and a bunch of kids who seem to be exploring the world and secure enough not to be clingy or tempermental.

It’s interesting to read the reactions as a result of “deep friendship” line of Brad. It is no surprise at all about the hullaballoo or the uproar that Brad’s interview has created. My opinion on this is very simple. It was LOST IN TRANSLATION. For me, not everything on Brad’s response should be taken literally. I think Brad answered the best way he could in a gentle manner. I think he chose his words wisely by sugarcoating his statements but at the same time he told the truth (re marriage failure even before Angie came into the picture). It speaks of his good breeding & character that he’ll not say negative things about his former wife inspite of X interview on VF & Oprah wherein putting Brad & Angie in a bad light. That’s how a person behaves when he’s living peacefully. I cannot imagine Brad washing dirty linen in public. What he gave was general statements without necessarily giving into details. He was just being polite about that “deep friendship” thing. Of course, in reality he had no deep friendship with x but he’s past relationship with her made him a better person somehow by realizing what he wants in life..and he respects it by acknowdging it. Brad is NOT A LIAR. He announced that Angie is his great love…that in itself speaks volumes.

You Jolie fans are like a cult! Everyone thinks that Jen mislead Brad by letting him think she was ready to have children, blah, blah, blah, and then didn’t give him any.
