Disney Backs Vanessa Hudgens
Disney is speaking out on the Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal.
“Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment,” said Disney Channel spokeswoman Patti McTeague. “We hope she’s learned a valuable lesson.”
Vanessa apologized earlier today for the photos, which show her smiling as she posed naked and in underwear in a bedroom with a red curtain behind her.
Negotiations are ongoing for the High School Musical 3 feature film — including Vanessa and co-star boyfriend Zac Efron.
Disney may offer Miss Hudgens significantly less money because of this unfortunate scandal but my guess is Mister Efron will have none of that. Touche!

Oh I loved that. I really think the only reason Zac is doing the HSM movies cause of V - he says in a lot of interviews that he can’t even watch them because they’re so… well, not bad. But I’m sure not many teenage guys can sit through them.
But yeah, I think that if Disney had fired V, Zac wouldn’t have done it. And he won’t like it if she gets less money either.

Honestly what crime has she done? It’s not like she posed for these pics hoping to get them to the public. Last I heard it’s not a crime to take pictures of yourself doing whatever the hell you want. An apology is not stupid, in fact, it is very much needed. As a celebrity, you have a responsibility to your fans, even if you never asked for it. It’s just like driving a car. Good, Disney did the right thing for once. She made a mistake, HUGE mistake but a mistake and I would much rather she make a mistake like this than doing what many of the other “stars” are playing at like taking heroin or committing a DUI (which I hope and pray she is not doing). How sick is it that someone took such pleasure in victimizing an innocent 18 yr. old??? I want to know why people like this aren’t prosecuted. Vanessa is a lovely young lady and sadly had to learn the world is not always a place you can trust. She did the right thing admitting her mistake in taking the pictures. She should hold her head up, and know that she has wonderful friends, fans, family, and a guy who are supportive and love her. Shame on those self-righteous parents who don’t realize yet that experimentation is a normal part of young adults lives. How would you feel if your daughter had been victimized like this?? truth be told, anyone who has seen the photos knows vanessa was underage when she took them (her makeup and hair appear to be around the time ‘thunderbirds’ was in the theaters). whether this was a publicity stunt gone awry, i’m sorry to say that vanessa has lot a huge majority of her tween fanbase in lieu of old pervs. it’s true though, this ’scandal’ is minute compared to those by other celebrity counterparts her age. i wish vanessa the best, cause i’m sure this will all be overshadowed by britney’s performance on the vma’s this sunday.

vanessa didn’t leak the photos but she knew they were going to be leaked but was unsure as to exactly when or if she had any legal grounds to somehow stop the leak… why do you think she cancelled jimmy kimmel and went to australia instead? that was the day they could’ve been released. i realize a lot of vanessa fans are younger so they will be a bit more naive, but vanessa’s people are anything but. and for right now, she’s very smart to listen to them and do exactly what they say. professionally speaking, zanessa may be paying the bills for her now to a degree, but this is her future career and image we are talking about and her people, unlike most of her fans, are smart to realize that is bigger than zanessa.
as for if zac and the others in hsm knew about the photos who knows but why do you think maybe they never “officially” associated themselves as a couple and while a lot of her costars said they don’t talk about their personal lives? they’d be smart to keep that line going now too — again, it’s not personal, this is show business and better not to be associated with her right now IN show business in front of the cameras/press, etc. plus they look more consistent and less hypocritical if they still say “i don’t comment on friends’ personal lives.”

I agree! I share the same thoughts. I too have experienced things I regretted doing in my past teen years and hurt people I loved, which made them stray away from me. But, That was short lived as I grew up, realized I wanted to better myself. I forgave myself and moved on and live the life I am happy and proud of today. I now have a better relationship with those people who turned away from back then. They’ve forgiven me and saw the changes for better in me.

I think that it is pretty safe to say that she was under 18 when these photos were taken but no matter what her age was it is just wrong that they are all over the internet.
