Britney Spears opened up the 2007 Video Music Awards in a bejeweled bra and panties, performing her single “Gimme More.”

Thank you for posting this Jared, us West Coasters appreciate it :-)…except that as AWFUL to sit through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is so STIFF and acted like it woulda killed her to brake a sweat. What happened to the dancer in her? That was all she had going for her, her looks and her dance moves…both are gone and she’s left with just her vocals…which need to be electronically enhanced. SADNESS SADNESS SADNESS all the way around!
I was SO looking foward to this, even before i watched it i read people’s cmts on here and I wanted to like it even more, but unfortunatly, she looked so cold and unenthused, it was a dissapointment

Oh my gosh that was so disappointing. I wanted so badly for her to just blow our minds. Why wasn’t she dancing? And come on, if you’re going to lip sync, don’t lip sync to the album version of the song!
Not seeing the big come back happening anytime soon… Maybe after her next melt down.

If I was Britney I would be embarassed and just leave Sin City. I can’t believe there was actually a time I love watching Britney perform and thought she was the best performer out there. I don’t know even know if anyone can consider that a performance. She was slow and lost, and was looking at her dancers for the next move.
ok…the song is alright. first time i heard it. the performance, however, SUCKED! she had no energy. it was just blah. she was obviously lip singing and she didn’t even dance that much or that hard so she could have really sang. just not a good performance overall.

i kinda beleieve she probably was drinking before the show. i kept watching her face and she seemed so nervous like she couldn’t wait til the performance was done. it would be something if that was a joke performance.
it looked like britney, but them moves were nothing like her heyday. thank god i had tivo. the performance looked better fast forward. *yawn* what a disappointment!

OMG that was terrible!!! I was really hoping she was going to put the crack pipe down long enough to bring it—I really like the song but I wouldn’t spend a dollar to go see her doing THAT. I could also feel how uncomfortable she was being up there performing on stage. It felt like I was watching an out of sync movie—sometimes her lips didn’t match up with the words. Poor Brit…
WOW…no one in the audience was able to fake a smile or any other positive emotion. The brakes on the train have offically failed and we are watching it start down the mountain.
i think she was nerveouse but it wasnt good but it wasnt bad apart from that the vmas are really boring i think the lasta one that were really good were in 2003 this is small slow and boring
