OlderKate Walsh is a Bikini Babe
Newlywed Kate Walsh straps on her blue bikini and enjoys an afternoon lounging by the pool with movie exec hubby Alex Young on Friday in Los Angeles. After a bit of fun in the sun, the Private Practice star collected her cat from the front lawn.
Kate, 39, and Alex, 36, tied the knot last Saturday in the town of Ojai north of Los Angeles. Here are some interview excerpts from this week’s OK! magazine (pick it up, they have exclusive pictures from the wedding!):
How does it feel to be married?
Kate: To be Kate Walsh-Young? Suddenly calm. We are so happy and blissed out. You think as a performer you’d be able to imagine, but there’s really nothing like it. It’s profound.
How did the weekend go?
Kate: I’ve had a 10-mile smile. We had an unexpected heat wave and there was a blackout during the reception dinner, but fortunately there was a backup generator! It’s just a lesson in life. You can only plan so much.
Any other last-minute hitches?
Kate: It was so hot in the church, and I felt faint. I was like, I think I need to drink some water. So I walked out to rehydrate. I walked back in, picked up the microphone, and said: “Hey, everybody! I’m back!” Theh gospel choir sang “Hallelujah.”
How did Alex propose?
Alex: We were at this beautiful restaurant called Gary Danko [in San Francisco]. I had the [Neil Lane] ring with me. Butterlies are a big theme in Kate’s life and in our life. We’re sitting there and the appetizer came out in the shape of a butterfly…
Kate: It was kinf of ridiculous, actually. It was a tuna tartare with wasabi antennae!
Alex: I found myself starting to talk about what Kate means to me…
Kate: And then I realized, ‘Oh! This is it!’
Alex: I pulled out the ring, and it was just one of those great moments.
Kate: Before, he asked my brother’s permission. Which was really wonderful.

you guys are all are jealous! kate walsh looks good for pushing 40! lol! kate walsh looks as good as a teeanager and better than 90% of women any age. she has no flab, and who doesn’t have any flab? she is a beautiful woman, with a great body. walk around your local mall people and you will see, it’s so obvious that is what leads me to believe you’re all nuts. why do people always say, she looks good for pushing 40, when most of the time those woman look better than the younger ones. it’s not the age people, it’s the dedication to looking good. it’s hard work at any age, and at any age you can look bad or good.

Hey, the dog and the cat aren’t just famous now. The dog is Lucy, she got Kate her first cover ever if I’m not mistaken, and is in one of her first paparazzi candids ever. And both have been shown on Ellen.
The issue here isn’t the fact that Kate looks fabulous for any age in a bikini, isn’t the fact that not only there isn’t hint of flab, but also there is no cellulite, that she is blessed with a pretty belly button… The real question is, where is the other cat? Gosh how time flies, that cat is all grown up, awww.

Kate looks gorgeous & hot. I love the fact that she’s a natural beauty - she never bothers with make-up when we see candids, & she still looks freaking gorgeous !!! Can’t believe she is 40 next month !!
I’m jealous. No sign of any cellulite at all !! And yep, Matt I agree that Kate is one of the few celebs that looks great without make-up, au naturel ! She has fabulously clear skin.

When she was last on Ellen De Generes talk show, they were discussing pets & Kate had bought a short video clip of her two cats play-fighting with her dog. She’s certainly a big animal lover.

And I’m not famous! Then I said (I think she is 39) She looks better than the 20 somethings in Hollyood. I was trying to find cellulite on her body (ha ha) - she is just amazing! I am a woman who is in impeccable shape myself however I have the little flaws that would show if someone snapped my pic. She is my new hero.

OMG, A bikini. Im so happy. I was a little upset that my girl crush dreams were destroyed when she married Alex. These pics make very happy. Although I do have a concern, the paps are camped out at her home now? That is a little creepy and these are a little invasive, I mean she was in her yard. Anyways, She looks HOT!!! If this is what Kate looks at nearly 40, then I give up. For the love of God, even in my teens I did not look that fantastic. The only disturbing thing is that they clearly did not know their pictures were taken. I love seeing Kate and Alex, but I feel a bit guilty looking(not enough to stop me, though).Anyway, maybe they need some privacy-you know to have a baby.Other than that, I enjoy the pics, but don’t stalk them.
