OlderKate Walsh is a Bikini Babe
Newlywed Kate Walsh straps on her blue bikini and enjoys an afternoon lounging by the pool with movie exec hubby Alex Young on Friday in Los Angeles. After a bit of fun in the sun, the Private Practice star collected her cat from the front lawn.
Kate, 39, and Alex, 36, tied the knot last Saturday in the town of Ojai north of Los Angeles. Here are some interview excerpts from this week’s OK! magazine (pick it up, they have exclusive pictures from the wedding!):
How does it feel to be married?
Kate: To be Kate Walsh-Young? Suddenly calm. We are so happy and blissed out. You think as a performer you’d be able to imagine, but there’s really nothing like it. It’s profound.
How did the weekend go?
Kate: I’ve had a 10-mile smile. We had an unexpected heat wave and there was a blackout during the reception dinner, but fortunately there was a backup generator! It’s just a lesson in life. You can only plan so much.
Any other last-minute hitches?
Kate: It was so hot in the church, and I felt faint. I was like, I think I need to drink some water. So I walked out to rehydrate. I walked back in, picked up the microphone, and said: “Hey, everybody! I’m back!” Theh gospel choir sang “Hallelujah.”
How did Alex propose?
Alex: We were at this beautiful restaurant called Gary Danko [in San Francisco]. I had the [Neil Lane] ring with me. Butterlies are a big theme in Kate’s life and in our life. We’re sitting there and the appetizer came out in the shape of a butterfly…
Kate: It was kinf of ridiculous, actually. It was a tuna tartare with wasabi antennae!
Alex: I found myself starting to talk about what Kate means to me…
Kate: And then I realized, ‘Oh! This is it!’
Alex: I pulled out the ring, and it was just one of those great moments.
Kate: Before, he asked my brother’s permission. Which was really wonderful.

she looks great and the turquoise bikini is smashing! you think she’d get enough privacy in her own home but someone must’ve climbed a tree to get these pics! lol. i’m not complaining cos we get a glimpse of the turquoise bikini o’ hotness, but still, kate deserves privacy with her hubby :-/ still hot though. and love that she’s pushing forty and looking very fit! ;)
When she was last on Ellen De Generes talk show, they were discussing pets & Kate had bought a short video clip of her two cats play-fighting with her dog. She’s certainly a big animal lover.

Has everyone seen the new sneak peep of PP ? Addison dancing in her apartment. Cheesy, but very funny. Wonder if it was choreographed or if they just told Kate to keep dancing LOL
saw the sneak peek and I can’t decide if the dancing scene was too long for my taste or not.

nice candids jared, although I do have a slight problem with the fact that they were taken of her in her own yard, do the paparazzi not respect people’s privacy when they are in their own homes anymore? I mean taking pics on the street is fine but in her own front yard. She needs to build a higher wall stat.
