I think the Vma’s was a great opportunity for Brit’s comeback but, she just wasn’t ready yet. She didn’t have much energy and looked nervous. She’s always had great performances. I think she should’ve came back alittle more conservative. The performance was too freaky for a person who’s been bad mouthed as much as she has. Hopefully she’ll have another chance when she’s ready.

This picture is the best I have seen her dressed in a long time and her hair would look cute if she got a GOOD (not Posh) short hair style. Hopefully her big brother can help her. God knows she need it.

Britney looked BALLOONED, so out of shape & can’t sing for nut. It’s the end of her career. Everyone’s talking about her bad, bad, performance. If she really work hard & put her heart into this…none of this will happen. She asked for it duh!!

I have been a fan of Britney’s since she started. The song is good. Her performance looked like it was her first time on stage. With all her money and people she has working for her, she could have really gotten a hot outfit together and done something prettier with her hair. She looked good, but we all know we’ve seen her look better. Brit has all the potential in the world!! She just didn’t seem to want to be there last night.. I’m still waiting for her true comeback.

She was not even lip syching well. Her dancing was as if she had never rehersed. I do feel sorry for her but I think this is what you get when you have taken someone who really can’t sing. I thought she could dance and mold them in to a super star. She was a media creation and some creations crack when people are allowed to look closer at them.

She was created, all of Britney was an illusion. It is sad if you thing about it.

Poor Britney, I think she must need spiritual help right now. Poor fans, she was totally bad.

I don’t feel sorry for her at all. She should have been rehearsing and getting rest instead of partying the whole time. She has no one to blame for that performance but herself.

Sometimes it’s ok just to walk away and admit defeat. Maybe this will be a rock bottom moment where she finally sees herself in context and gets some humility that’s long overdue.

The whole show was a disaster fiasco. Britney’s zombie and drugged like behavior in her opening performance –took away from the real purpose of the VMA awards. I feel sorry for the other performers today that did not get the publicity they deserve for their well earned talent in the world of music in hip-hop and pop etc. The producers of the Video Music Awards should be ashamed of themselves and so should Britney’s so called friends and or manager or managers. How could her entourage let her go on in that demeanor and obviously without any drill or warm up practice??? With friends like that–we don’t have to worry so much about our enemy foes.

She looked scared and nervous….Like she had stage fright. She supposedly heard the monolougue before she went on stage. The routine was changed due to insurance issues. One of her heels broke during the performance. She did an OK job…..not the normal Britney performance everyone is used to. This still is no reason to be-little her. The song is great regardless of this performance…. Since this wasn’t one of her best performances she is going to have to do more work to get positive reviews in the future. She looks extremely sad.

I don’t sympathize with this idiot, she just has to realize that her reign is OVER. SHE SHOULD GO HOME TO HER CHILDREN, TAKE CARE OF THEM AND GO INTO ACTING LIKE MOST FLOUNDERING SINGERS.

Here is my two cents….wish I had fiddys. Anyway, they are saying Brit looked like that because she got wind of Sarahs intent to talk **** on her kids. They are saying her performance was drastically changed because of “insurance” reasons (remember she was supposed to has MindFreak with her). So the girl was bummed out. Now granted she should have gone on as a professional and not let us see that; however, I don’t care where I am, who I am with and what cameras are rollin…When that ***** Sarah started talking about my kids, there would have been a televised ***** slap on the 2007 VMAs. If this so called host wanted to dish on Brit, hey she is in the limelight and chose to do so. But effen with my kids is a whole nuther story. She, the so called host, must be the kinda person who picks fights with the homeless, handicapped, indigent,small, meek and defenseless (sp?). Yeah let me pick on a baby and a toddler. Where is Sarah from? Columbine? I see she wasn’t trying to eff with Mary J. Blige or Eve or anybody else who would have had the sense to walk on stage, during her baby bashing jokes, and kick her ass. Funny jokes is funny jokes and I like a funny joke, but making fun of somebodies kids is grounds for a court case as well as cowardly. And anybody who lets someone talk bad about their kids should have used a condom. Damn it I am now rooting for Britney, you mothereffers. I don’t like her exposing herself or making herself look inept, but all this is more than anyone should have to hear. *******.

the song was fire but britney appeared to be intoxicated, possibly from marijuana (not trying to put her down or say she’s on drugs…that’s just what it looked like to me). she seemed pretty stiff on stage but that could have been due to nerves…this was the biggest performance she’s had in eons and she knew she’d be under a lot of scrutiny…on that note, maybe she was just trying to play it safe…”Britney’s Performance at VMAs Was Stiff” is a much better headline than “Britney Falls on Ass During Complicated Dance Sequence.” we’ll see what the video looks like…who knows, she could end up bringing sexy back her damn self.

I agree with Steph comment #9, more conservative would have been a good choice AND would have shocked the crap out of the media.

Ms. Spears, if you ever read this, which I seriously doubt, keep your chin up. It takes a lot to do what you did, in the outfit that you did, so in that sense, more power to you! On a side note: if there was ever any doubt, your body looks great after having two babies back to back…not a lot of women can say that.

There are comments floating around that some of the other celebrities were making fun of you during your performance, my thought on that: though the world saw their reactions on tv, reading people’s expressions is very SUBJECTIVE, so why don’t we try ASKING THEM before we ASSUME? There are more people that are rooting for you than the media would like for you to believe.

I, for one, am one of those that is hoping that you do make a tremendous comeback. There have been several people that have gone through what you have gone through and reacted much worse than you have, you’ve just been the unfortunate one to have it splayed all across all the magazines and made EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS PLANET’S BUSINESS. Though I haven’t personally been through what you’ve been through, I’m more than sure there are SEVERAL people that can sympathize with you, I, for one again, can surely and willingly empathize.

There are so many people that take the easy route and turn around and snicker behind your back…but c’mon people, I think we can do much better than that. We can choose to be bigger and better people than that, and stand back and see the bigger picture…this is a person’s life, a living, breathing, person that just needs a moment to actually take a breath and LIVE. She’s got so much going on that it seems to have become hard for her to focus on the important things.

And believe it or not, not everyone’s picking up the trash-talking magazines to see what Britney’s latest mistake has been, there ARE some people that pick up the magazines to see whether or not she’s made a step in the right direction because to some, it serves as INSPIRATION, and if to some people it doesn’t, the fact still remains that it CAN to others.

Britney, utilize your fame to your advantage, and for women all over that have been dealt a heavy hand. BE THE WOMAN to come out of this G** forsaken RUT and PROVE ALL THE NON-BELIEVERS WRONG. Choose wisely in your professional life as well as your personal life, because as a woman, we as women, KNOW that you are more than capable of pulling it off!

The VMA performance is not the end all, speak for all event, and if some people believe that, then not only is that sad, but they themselves need to come out of the d*mn VMA box that they live in!

Yeah people are being really mean about her performance.. I mean for real. its been like 3 years shes out of it give her time to get used to it again. all that time with loser husband has to ruin ya. and as for how she looks? damn, she looks pretty good for a girl who had 2 kids back to back. everyone who has children should sympathize with her. heck i dont have any and i feel bad for the slack shes getting. as for the song i really like it, along with the other 3 shes got. shes a great artist and once she gets back into the swing of things shes gonna kick a$$. ive always liked her even now that im 18. britneys still got it shes just gotta get used to using it

It’s beyond funny at this point. She needs to get out of the spotlight (move away from CA), get her life and mind straightend out, spend some quality time with the people she has pushed away in her crazy episodes, and then maybe in a year try a come back… but take it slow.. small clubs with REAL shows… not her talent(less) show things she did recently..

Her biggest problem is living in the spotlight, people see her far more than they need to … some of these stars arn’t the brightest people, but usually have talent.. and thats what focused on .. when you see Britney and Lindsay and the rest day to day, it makes them look like fools…

She needed to go back and re-hire all of people in her life that helped make her a star seven years ago if she was serious about making a comeback. Personally, I don’t believe Britney’s heart is in it. She is capable of so much more, but I truly don’t think she really wants it anymore. She knows what it would have taken to be as good as she once was, but didn’t do it. Her uninspired performance speaks for itself.

I am just wondering whatever and who-ever did something with her hair…she was just bald a short time ago..not even enough to hold extensions, I would think…what was done with her hair…seriously, i need to know……and for someone who is (maybe) trying to keep custody of her children, to be skimpily dressed with way too much baby fat…not phat, “fat” hanging out everywhere, saying “it’s Britney *****”…her ass cheeks exposed…this is the mother of the year award in progress….she should not have partied so much and worked out and slept abit if she knew she was opening and not be so exposed and naked if she was not clearly in shape to do so…Hollywood has all the tricks, surely she didn’t use any, except for the hair trick…that is truly what I wanna know…where’d she get the hair….I could use it…no kiddin’…..she needs to work out not drunk out, and get in shape before making a “come-back”….Yeah saw Rhianna laughing…didn’t know why tho….OK, and the hair…doesn’t anyone have the answer to that???

I think she did what she did because she wanted to, its not right to judge her when the same people judgeing her don’t have enough balls to speak in front of a class room seting let alone sing in front of a large audience.
