As a young british actress myself I would never compromise, my work,or my dignity for the sake of vanity.obviously vanessas lack of judgement played a major part in what can only be described as an extremely embarrsing situation, not only for her but her family as well. What sickens me the most is that some filthy common scum has actually posted these pictures and all those dirty young and old men are looking at those pictures. Again I have to agree with some of the sentiments that britchick has stated. Vanessa was exremely naive in what she has done, as practiaclly a young girl herself she has degraded her pride,vanity and dignity. Yes her career may not suffer but she will always carry the stigma of the girl from a highly successful disney franchise, who has degraded and disgraced the franchise.

I personally don’t believe that people should look up to actors as role models, I don’t think it is right to put the pressure on actors at the end of the day just because people are actors it doesn’t mean they are immune to a normal life. When the lights go down and the cameras are off these actors are just normal people. However again on that sentiment when you choose to be in the limelight, there is always the pressure to look and behave a certain way. The thing I cannot understand is that many actors including myself choose not to make their private life made public, because at the end of the day people who are complete strangers have no right to know the details of your private life.However what I cannot understand who would put these pictures up. How did these pictures end up in the wrong hands unless it was a publicity stunt. That is the only logical explanation I have unless people who vanessa thought were her friends are not.
Vanessa is a beautiful and talented girl but I must admit… my perception of her has changed a lot since those nude pictures came out. She was always marketed as a good role model, just a nice sweet girl who was innocent. . . and then we all found out that isn’t entirely who she is in her private life. I am not judging her because everyone makes mistakes, but I am just saying I will probably never look at her quite the same way after this.

I recently watched High School Musical 2. To be Honest When Vanessa was on screen I didn’t think about the nude pictures because Gabriella (Vanessa’s character) is such a sweet innocent girl. Vanessa is a talented actress and when she’s in character you forget where one stops and the other starts. When Kids watch the movie they’ll think of Gabriella as their role model, Not Vanessa.
Characters and their acters are not one in the same. Does anybody really think Zac Efron can play basketball well enough to get scouted by a college team? NO! THATS TROY BOLTON! Zac Efron is no more a basketball player then Vanessa is an innocent virgin! I’ll be Good money that Zac and vanessa has slept together by now. GO ZAC! I’ll still let my little brother and cousin see the movie. Because Troy and Gabriella are sweet and safe. Also I don’t think that Vanessa and Zac are bad people they just haven’t lived up to the (way too high) moral standards we want them to. Compared to a lot of stars they’re still very innocent.
We Have to learn to seperate characters from their actors and to make sure the characters that kids Idolize are good role models. Mos kids don’t follow celebrity gossip until they’re old enough to relize how complicated the world. But they try to model themselves after characters as soon as they see a movie.

Because This group of young stars are very close together, they see themselves as part of a revolution. Monique Coleman is wonderful. I just loved her interview on The View, where she gushed over Whoopi. Ah yes, so sweet and I love how Whoopi handled her adoring young fan. Gotta love Whoopi!
I was entranced by Monique’s performances on Dancing With The Stars. OOOh so lovely gal. I thought Zac Efron’s little dance number singing about how he wants so mo’ MoMo was awesome. She looks so young and blends right in with the rest of the cast, even though she’s not the only cast member in the twenties. I would never have guessed her age to be 26. Wow just Wow! Lucky for her she has that look such that she can play younger roles. Michael J. Fox forever played younger roles into his thirties. So that fountain of youth thing Monique’s got going on is excellent to have in show business, especially for a woman.
Monique has a college degree, has written and starred in her own play, has won awards and acclaim outside of Disney, and working on a book that I do hope she completes. I look forward to great things from Monique Coleman: she’s got class, she’s got heart, she’s exciting, she’s youthful, she’s talented, she’s beautiful, ah man the list goes on.
Not to degrade her or anything, but if there was one of the HSM girls I wouldn’t have mind seeing without clothing, it would be the only one with some curves to look at — Mo!
