Why is everybody making fun of her? She is still human. I heard she had cried backstage after the performance because in her eyes, and unfortunately 7.1 million other pairs of eyes, she had failed. Is that really something to joke about? This poor girl is on a downward spiral and everybody thinks its funny. THINK ABOUT IT, IF YOU ARE EVEN A HUMAN BEING YOURSELF. Along with Mary J. Blige, I was hoping she would come out of it unscathed and perhaps help boost her self-esteem even just a bit.

Alors autant je peux concevoir qu’on aime pas la musique de Brit, ni la personne, chacun ses gouts même si ce ne sont pas les miens… Mais bon, qu’elle envahisse les magazines, et bien, Souhila, je vais t’apprendre une chose : c pas Britney qui le décide de paraître dans les magazines. Je crois même qu’elle s’en passerait volontiers d’être autant traquée par les paparazzis. Même si elle a un très bon rapport avec eux et est toujours aimable.

The only reason I watched VMA was to see Britney. I felt very sorry for her. It didn’t work out and she knows it. Everyone should show a little humanity. Well, VMA got what they wanted … increased veiwers. Who are they going to sacrifice next year to keep the viewership up? Brit was set up, just look at the B—- who was on next. Kept flipping back and forth to see if VMA improved after Britney - didn’t. Sunday night football was much better.

Cut some slack to other girls out there in the world who do not have Britney’s kind of money to get help. My mum and i were on another site last night, and the site said that Britney was looking ‘herendously out of shape’ we nearly died! She was a perfect shape and for someone who has just had 2 babies, that comment was TOTALLY unnecessary!

Why do people continue to make excuses for this 25 year old WOMAN. Britney’s not a little girl anymore and she needs to come to that realization. She’s so used to being pampered and catered to, that she hasn’t learned how to take responsibility for her actions; there was always someone there to clean up her messes.
Well Britney, there comes a day and a time where you have to grow up and deal with this wreck of a life that YOU’VE created on your own. No one can bail you out and set your life right, but YOU.
Some of you act like Britney is still this innocent little teen who is a victim of the industry. Britney is an adult with 2 children that she needs to set a positive example for. She’s not a “newbie” to the entertainmant industry, and she knew what she had to do to put on a great performance at the VMA’s if she ever wished to be taken seriously as an artist again, but she chose not to do it. Britney can’t blame anyone for this debacle but herself.

Britney does not respect her fans why should her fans support her. She continually takes money from people and delivers very little back. In the past year she has appeared at night clubs making her fans wait for long periods of time for her to show then does a poor performance - no actual singing and very little dancing. She was paid $100,000 to show up at an opening in Vegas and showed up 2 hours late (traveling on a private jet), stayed 15 minutes then took her private jet home. She wouldn’t even sign autographs or take pictures with her fans. She has trashed outfits at photo shots, come on camera looking like trash, parties all night, taking off her clothes and running in the ocean, wearing very short dresses with no underpants (including the day after the VMA). Then when she was paid again to appear on stage she looked high and tired. I guess parting all night will do that.
No I don’t think she cares about you, her children or herself (accept her bank account). When she gets some help and acts like a professional, I’ll give her a break.
It’s people like you that are enablers - all you do is hurt the person and keep them from getting help.
I know my son has a friend like Britney - I won’t let him in the house.

#61 I don’t believe the heel was broken but BEND by her weight and lack of balance bc a brokend heel will appear loose, no way will return to the original position. EVEN if the heel was bronken she should have done a better job of lipsinging and improvise to distract the problem. A real good performer will never let down the fans by any circumstances, they will give it all. She obviously was onder the influence or too tired to care.

I guess with Britney Spears it’s the same old beat. I don’t think she has the moves anymore at all. She use to dance really well. If that’s gone well I guess everything with it is gone too. I think she has no chance for this anymore. Her last CD was released in 2003 and now we are in 2007. For 4 years nothing was going on with her just Drama and I think It’s too late.
