Reese Witherspoon has class, sass, and a gorgeous…laugh. She is living proof that the South always rises again! Check out these excerpts of Reese in Elle Magazine’s October 2007 issue:
On dealing with hard times post-split with husband Ryan Phillippe: “Right around Christmas-time I was sitting in a parking lot and I felt like I just couldn’t get out of the car. It was like, I can’t get out of the car. Any I though, Okay, half of the parking lot has dealt with this. More than half of the parking lot has dealt with this. Okay, let’s make it a little bigger. Half of this city has dealt with this. Okay, let’s make it a little bigger-half of this country, until I finally got out of the car. It was like, it’s okay. It’s okay. There’s this moment in Walk the Line where June Carter says, ‘I was never aware of how much I was seen.’ I was very aware of how much I was seen. It was this moment of self-discovery and loss of identity and who was stepping out of the car-you know? Who is that person? Should I not be this honest?”
On the tabloids: “Everybody is hung out to dry now. It’s one think if you’re up for it and you want it, and you go out without your panties on. But if you’re wearing your panties-gosh darn it, leave me alone!”
On her favorite joke: “Why do Southern women make bad prostitutes? ‘Cuz we have to write so many thank-you notes! And so true!”

On drinking: “I think it’s great to drink in the middle of the day. I would join you, but I gotta drive to pick up the kids. You’re taking taxis everywhere. You could get drunk! You could go from appointment to appointment highly, highly smashed!”
On being fun: “I’m fun. I can be really fun. I can tell we’d have a lot of fun if the tape was off.””
On maintaining control of the relationships: “[My dad and uncle] taught me that in every relationship, the person least interested in maintaining it is going to dominate it, because they’ll never compromise. So you have to always maintain that position of least interest, and you’ll always control the relationship.”
On claims that she is always in control: “I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if I were [always in control]. I wouldn’t be able to have the empathy or the capacity to understand different lives.”
On fashion: “I don’t go in too much for the fashion stuff because I got other stuff to do. But I do appreciate people who love what they do and work hard on it.”
On winning her Oscar: “It made me realize how much I have it all! It’s real purty on my bookcase. Everybody that comes to my house, I say, ‘You can touch it, but you have to give a speech.’”
On her fear of water: “Do you ever have those dreams where you’re drowning and nobody’s helping you? And people are just standing on the bank watching you drown? Not really fun-ny! I remember three occasions where my mother dove into a pool to save a child that was drowning. Watching children by the pool…I have nightmares.”
On becoming more modest with her spending habits: “Usually, I love the beauty of a great bag. Now I see things for really how little I need them. And how much of your day, as a woman, you can really fall into that rabbit hole.”
On her parents’ emphasis on education: “The thing that was most valued was intelligence. My dad was very, very academic. And my mother’s academic. And that was sort of a standard. Anyway, that was hard to reach.”

BORING in real life who would wana read bout her. most excitin thing was her divorce but only because i was shocked she would do such a thing. she comes across too old but ok actress.
So she is so polished like shiney granite. I think that’s why she doesn’t do it for me. I don’t like or dislike her she just leaves me cold.
Believe me, going through a divorce tends to make you lose weight…it’s not a fun time. I don’t really know much about Reese, but I do know that she at least manages to raise her kids and conduct herself in a classy manner. And I like her movies.
Love Reese and the pictures of her.She is beautiful and classy.I really like the 1st and 3rd picture of her,next to the article.

I believe these photos are photo shopped and air brushed. If you look closely at these pics, and then look at her pics at the Toronto Film Fest and other pics of her over the last several months, you will definitely see a big difference in her face and body/bone structure. Also I saw Charlieze Theron on a TV interview and says that the mag covers are photo shopped and air brushed. She said its sad that we all believe that these pictures are real and normal.
Either she was out of it or there are misprints. Did she say “Any I though” or “and I thought’? The more she talks the less bright she seems to be. And the idea that one should be “the less interested” person in a relationship to control it? Maybe that has something to do with her marriage breaking up. Does she use that technique on her kids? “I’m not really much interested in you, so do what I say or I might just dump you”? The more she explains herself the less nice person she seems. Not all that bright and not all that nice. She’d be wise to shut up and just strike poses for the camera.
Reese Witherspoon…you look ridiculous! I know what kind of tricks the photographer used to hide our ugly face. They put lot fo hair front of face. In Toronto you used 1 kg of make up in your face too. You had pressed your month and try put the form of fish to disguise the original toad form. All this work that you and you protector are fruitless. I don’t understand why the american show business would like to protect all this mediocre woman. Bridney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton etc…
It’s looks like that the people are very old either somebody has a complex or all this women included you are making some kind of dirty corruption. Reese Witherspoon …What is your plan for Golden Globe. Would you use the dress of another actress. I am sure that Kirsten Dunst will be carefully with your present friend next time and the other actress too!!!
It is terrible that this gossip in magazine for youth. . There isn’t censure more. We have put up with mediocre…
Poor woman whose must work and your children or teenager. They will learn all kind of bad example. Poor Hollywood!

Reese’s shelf life in Hollywood is expiring. Like it or not, Hollywood is hard on actresses over thirty. Oscar winners included. I have always loathed her, but I understand how she is trying to transform her image from wife with two kids divorcing cheating husband to hot mama with boy toy lover. It may work. Interesting, isn’t it, that she managed to work on Rendition in November and December while she was going through this emotional upheaval. Work sometimes helps, or we now know where her priorities lie.
Like no 7 says she just bugs me don’t I don’t know why something about her. She seems like a woman who’d use AWESOME alot.

She is freeloader of a Gyllenhaal family whose practice nepotism. This film Rendition has only one objetive settled this family in Hollywood. There are another families whose practice nepotism in Hollywood like Barrymore etc…and probably are make concorrence to them.
This film about terrorism is a ridiculous. All over the world everybody knows who is the first terrorist…Is the country whose had already bombed 2 atomic bombs in Japan with lof of victims. In Dresden…in Germany few days until the 2° war war would be finihed…With more victms than Iroshima! In Vietnan…In Camboja the american army bombed in 1 year more that all 2° world war in Europe. Nicaragua is a destruyed country. Alfganistan…2 times the american had bombed Irak. All this country are destroyed. The american invade all this country to burglary.
Bla, bla, bla! is this film. Everybody in the world knows that nowadays the people over there haven’t good familiar structure. Where grown up so much robbers…what kind of mother are over there. And they thing that can teach something to islamists?
I don’t really care for her either way but had to read this comments regarding how thin she looks in these pictures!
As a graphic designer, I’m telling yer Reese has been photoshopped bigtime.
How offensive would it be to pose for a shoot like this and then have the magazine photoshop the f*$k out of you?
She is smart but not educated. Had she not dropped out of Stanford to become a Hollywood star, I would have a lot more respect for her.
