Zac Efron is simply amazing. While his girlfriend is battling out paparazszi and haters in the States, he’s across the Pacific Ocean, cozing it up with his Hairspray co-star in public. Yet he seems to have this big problem about even being seen with his own girlfriend. He’s a keeper alright, truly wonderful.

uhh calm down everyone. zac is a professional and i’m sure he’s contractually obligated to attend publicity stuff for hairspray. all these events have been set up far in advance and i doubt he has a choice in the matter. and vanessa is a big girl and she has her family’s support right now. i’m sure zac is supporting her to the best of his ability at the moment.

Also, he and Nikki are the main young stars of the film and as such will be the two most seen together. Besides, Zac has an acting career he wants to reach success in and he also has an obligation to promote the movie. Movies that don’t get promoted, don’t do as well. It may well have been in his contract that he has to promote the movie. And as for Vanessa, why should Zac give up an opportunity to promote a movie that is a huge step in his career, drop everything he was already doing and run off to hold Vanessa when she was the one who was too much of a dumb*** to not take naked pictures of herself and send them to people on the internet. Why should he be punished, why should his fans be punished because she couldn’t keep private things private? I don’t even care about Zac, Vanessa or Nikki but the level of stupidty in some of these posts forced me to say something. Vanessa has family and friends who weren’t out of town when the scandal hit. Let them take care of her.

WTF is up with Zac?? I seriously do not understand what he is doing, what he is trying to make people believe. He knows how the media can be. He knows what his girlfriend is going through. This has NOTHING to do with Zac’s career. It’s about the way he treats his girlfriend compared to the way he treats his costar. It’s sad that, in public at least, he treats Nikki better than he treats Vanessa. It’s like, when he’s with Vanessa, he tries too hard to make it seem like they’re not together, almost to the point where it seems like she doesn’t exist, or matter, to him.
If I were Vanessa, I wouldn’t put up with it anymore. Everyone knows they’re together, so why is he still trying so hard to hide it. Even Vanessa is willing to admit it. With all that’s been happening to her, I think the last thing Vanessa needs is to have to wonder, and worry, what her boyfriend is doing with his female costar when she’s not around.
Simply put, it ain’t fair to Vanessa. She deserves someone who isn’t ashamed to announce to the world that she’s his, and that someone obviously is not Zac.
Zac is an actor. that means he has to be able to fake emotions, he might be smiling but for all we know he’s breaking down. That’s what happened to Owen Wilson, and lots of other actors.
Also the ring is still there so he hasn’t broken up with Vanessa yet. I think that Zac doesn’t realize he’s being led astray. That happens to a lot of men Zac’s age, he might not realize that he’s flirting.
Girls I’m going to admit a deep dark secret of my (and Zac’s) gender. We aren’t sure that we’re in an exclusive relationship until the girl tells us we are. Vanessa might just need to Remind Zac who he belongs to.
Zac has also been caught flirting with Vanessa a dozens of times when the whole HMS2 cast were together, and they always kept looking at eachother and Vanessa blushed whenever Zac talked about how much the cast bonded.
Here’s another possibility. Nikki’s holding Zac’s hand to comfort him, not flirt with him. Maybe he’s nervous about Vanessa and doesn’t want to be there, So Nikki’s playing mommy and holding his hand.
Zac hasn’t issued a public statement of support of Vanessa, but Maybe she doesn’t want him too. Her plan of action about this scandal is to keep quite and ride it out, so perhaps she asked Zac not to provide newspapers another excuse to bring it up.
And Finally, For everybody who thinks that Zac’s been avoiding Vanessa the whole week… NOT TRUE! Vanessa flew down to Australia to be at the Hairspray premire there, and spent maybe three days hanging out with Zac. that’s probably when Zac gave his support. It’s been confirmed that Zanessa had a dinner date (thats right just the two of them) at an exclusive Sydney resturant withen the last week. If they broke up over the pictures that would have been the time, and since Vanessa didn’t leave the resturant mad or crying, I think that they didn’t break up.
Still I’m not 100 percent sure Zanessa are together, but i think the odds are better then Not.

Vanessa doesn’t have to go to Zac’s Hairspray premieres. But she does. Vanessa doesn’t have to travel around the world for him. But she does. Vanessa doesn’t hve to be by his side through pretty much everything he does. But she does. She’s always saying how proud of him she is, how he’s becoming a big star, and what an amazing guy she thinks she is. And Zac’s said…well, pretty much nothing. Maybe one nice thing about her. Besides, Zac has an acting career he wants to reach success in and he also has an obligation to promote the movie. Movies that don’t get promoted, don’t do as well. It may well have been in his contract that he has to promote the movie. And as for Vanessa, why should Zac give up an opportunity to promote a movie that is a huge step in his career, drop everything he was already doing and run off to hold Vanessa when she was the one who was too much of a dumb*** to not take naked pictures of herself and send them to people on the internet. The problem is that in no time in history have two actors every been “purposely” chummy and flirty just to promote a movie. It never happens and it isn’t happening now. Considering she took photos for someone else BEFORE dating him, I don’t see what that has to do with anything. Guys with girlfriends should not act the way Zac does with Nikki when they have a grilfriend. Same if it was the other way around with Vanessa holding hands and flirting constantely with a co-star while dating Zac.

This whole photo scandal has nothing to do with Zac so he shouldn’t have to be brought down by it and he has absolutely nothing to answer for. He has contractual obligations to fulfil for the movie and I’m sure both Zac and Nikki are happy and relieved they can do this together because they are obviously fantastic friends and thoroughly enjoy each other’s company, and there is NOTHING wrong with that - regardless of whether Zac is going out with Vanessa or not. It is not illegal to have close/best friends of the opposite sex, even if you are in a relationship!!!
Now in regards to Zac supposedly not “supporting” Vanessa because he hasn’t defended her publicly or hasn’t “been there” for her, well before she grows some balls, faces the music and speaks about it publicly HERSELF, he shouldn’t have to say anything at all, it’s not his problem even if he is her “boyfriend”. Her cancelling her appearance on Jay Leno has only escalated the situation by the way.
And for those Vanessa fans saying she was “young” and “naive” when she took the pics, that’s something a 25-30 year old would say about being in a situation like this, the girl is ONLY 18 years old!!! In a couple of the photos of her posing in her underwear it is obvious these were taken at least, if not more than a couple years ago. She looks very young, completely UNDERAGE, and the thing that bugs me is that if it were another teen star or someone along the same lines – say for instance Hayden Panettiere who is relatively the same status - you would be crucifying them like there was no tomorrow and would be saying that they are no longer a good role model!! The majority of Vanessa fans are hypocrites and truth be told Vanessa herself is a hypocrite because she repeatedly claims she is a fantastic role model for young girls and has very good morals… umm excuse me, what the??? Forgive me if I’m wrong but a girl who claims she possesses these qualities is classy and respectful and does not take nude/candid pictures of herself just to impress a boy or to keep them interested. It is beyond naive and ignorant. She knew exactly what she was doing and by no means is she “innocent” pffft… What a joke. She is provocatively posing, smiling cheekily and it is blatantly obvious that she was not taking the pictures reluctantly.
And finally if people want to argue that they were taken in “private” that’s all well and good, but when people say they were taken before she was “famous”, that’s a load of BS. She has said herself she has been in the business for years and knew she wanted to stay in the business either musically or acting wise so she would be well aware of the do’s and don’ts in Hollywood and how the industry/media works - the girl is not completely dumb - although after this incident that can be questioned. I didn’t really know much about her, Zac and Nikki before all this stuff happened, it was only when I found out about the photo situation I read up about them a bit more. I was just expressing my views/thoughts on the situation and how I personally see it. Obviously not everybody is going to agree with me and vice versa but hey, all I can really say is I just analysed the situation from my perspective. Like I said at the end of my post, I apologise if I offended anybody with my opinions.

When I first read this new, I really disappointed with Zac when he did not show any concern about Vanessa. But some you guys make some good points here and they change my mind. I undersand now and hope Zanessa will together to get over this time.
Your guy said right that Zac is just doing his job and he does not show any emotion or caring about Vanessa on that situation because he does not want his emotion affect the promo; and that way he is professional. Moreover, I dont think Vanessa want her scandal affect her boyfriend’s carrer. So she might make the deal with Zac do not tell anything about her stuff right now. By the way, the less you talk about, the faster it pass away. Zac do not talk about her scandal, it will quickly fall into oblivion. So this is a wise way them they solve the proplem.
I saw he still wears the ring and specially he just show it up, not hiding like in some other pictures before. I think he wants everyone know that although he is not be there with Vanessa right now, he is always beside her, support her in either as the boyfriend or best friend.

I so love how every single Zac fan seems to have double-standards when it comes to their guy. I know for a fact that if Vanessa treated one of her male costars, like Brady, the same way Zac treats Nikki, she’d be called every single cruel name in the book and would be accused of cheating on Zac. Just a shout out to all the people saying Nikki is trying to steal Zac, remember that it’s always him that takes her hand, hugs her first, puts his arms around her, rubbed her knee on Rove Live (probably to thank her for fielding the gay question). And in the MOD kiss, she opens her eyes and moves her head back after one kiss, but he jerks her back and goes in for 2 more! They seem to genuinely like and respect each other, and admire each others’ talents.
But a dose of reality, they are actors! They are promoting a movie, and creating buzz about their “relationship” was probably in New Line’s marketing plan for a year! Zac is trying to keep it all about the work (like he said in Rolling Stone), and, as much as some of us think that Zac and Nikki are cute together or get along really well, being chummy with her IS part of the work. Like with Ashley, like with Summerland costars, like with his leading lady in Seventeen or Footloose or anything coming up!
