Ja Rule to MTV: Stop Promoting the Gays

Kanye West isn’t the only one hating on MTV.

Rapper Ja Rule recently made a please to MTV to stop promoting homosexuality in a recent issue of Complex magazine:

“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.

“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.

“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

Ja Rule looks like a *** anyway. I won’t hit that even if you give me a million dollars.

ONE IMPORTANT LESSON JA RULE NEEDS TO TEACH HIS CHILDREN THAT HE IS SO WORRIED ABOUT IS TO RESPECT EVERYONE INSPITE OF DIFFERENCES BECAUSE EVERYONE IS A MINORITY IN SOME FORM OR THE OTHER. NEXT YOUR GROUP OF MINORITY MIGHT BE TARGETED HOW YOU GONNA FEEL THEN?

I agree with everything he says. There should be less gays on tv. I don’t agree with the way he says it though.

================================

I hope and pray that all of your children turn out to be gay, That goes for the rest of you idiot, high fiveing JaFool

Um, doesn’t he realize that MTV isn’t for kids anyway. What kind of parent is he that he would say specifically that his kids can’t watch homosexuality but he doesn’t mention that they can’t watch sex? Because that is what MTV is all about. What a ********.

Wow. What a jackass. He may have a point, but it’s a really awful one.

Ya know, maybe he’s on to something. I was just thinking the other day that I didn’t want my kids knowing that black people could have sex with white people, and what about those spics? They need to keep to their own. MTV is just promoting this stuff and we have a right not to be exposed to it! As a matter of fact, anyone with an ounce of african blood should be shuffled off to a different room. I don’t want them mingling with white pure blood.

And boy, those religious wackos. I’m entitled to not have my kids exposed to anyone that believes in god. I mean, seriously, you can believe what you want, but don’t tell me about it, and don’t show my kids that stuff. Wearing crosses, thanking god all the time, praying - keep that sick stuff to yourself. I shouldn’t have to be exposed to that. Talk about ***ing up America.

A Friend of mine just told me that she so from the TMZ that Ja Rule was caught with transvestite in West Hollywood in his car.

Apparently, he was pull over for speeding probably and someone recognize him and took a picture. I asked my friend where did she sees it.

Check the TMZ.com

I have to agree with him too!
Not just the gays, but alot of the sexual content.
Our kids don’t need to be influenced by any dating shows. Worse yet when they’re watching Disney and two people are talking about ‘doing it’ for the first time. YUCK!
Not really a fan of gay people either, but we don’t have alot of them up here in Canada.
I guess that’s why we don’t have gang violence or a high rate of hate crimes.
I just don’t see them often so it’s a shock factor when it’s in your face on tv.

libraesque @ 09/12/2007 at 7:16 pm

I think I’ll protest all the shows like Dateline, etc. who air all the shows about heterosexuals who kill their spouses because of money, kill their pregnant wives because they’re having an affair…….OH, no wait….that’s wrong, they’re actually promoting my team with their shows
NEVERMIND!!!!

hahahaha .. that’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a while. Lack of gay people leads to decreased gang violence? I suppose there’s a decrease in homophobic driven crime, the hate crime I assume you mean. But gang violence? Is there an underground gay gang here in the U.S. that I don’t know about?

(”a lot” = two words, not one; I’m not ragging on your spelling/grammar individually, just pointing out a mistake I see a lot)

Ja has a point. I can understand what he’s saying really well. I caught my brother watching MTV one day of “Next” with gay guys on it. I asked, “why are you watching this episode?” .. only to find out some upsetting news. MTV is playing extremely inappropriate things, especially during the day time.

Down Under @ 09/12/2007 at 7:27 pm

Geez, it’s 2007 buddy! get over it or at least stop cussing! I wonder if he’d be happier if it was the 1950s where gay people weren’t seen on television but black people had to sit at the back of the bus. It’s so ironic that someone who is part of a minority would pick on another minority. Be care Mister, because Hate just breeds more Hate - so it’ll come around to you someday.

I find it annoying that someone who promotes drugs, firearms, prostitution, assault, murder, etc. to criticise homosexual programming, and homosexuality in general- something that is COMPLETELY uncontrollable (like race, by the way). The GLB community has enough nonsense for people to deal with, they don’t need some piece of washed up gangster-trash spewing random, homophobic guttertalk. In my opinion, I’d rather have a gay neighbour than one who kills people, or some egotystical jackass with a mediocre rap career. But that’s just MY opinion…

wow. super offensive. Both Ja Rule and all these people agreeing with him. MTV is stupid, as are all the reality shows, but extending that criticism to who people love, is biggoted and ignorant. Why are you even publishing crap like this?

True ignorance and stupidity. An utter idiot. Wonder if he lets his kids listen to the crap he says in his music.

I agree that MTV shouldn’t be airing that kind of stuff. There are a lot of kids that watch it.

Why does his opinion matter. He’s a musician. if you don’t like what he has to say, don’t buy his CD. It’s not like he’s organizing anti-gay protest. He had a Rant! end of story.

Yeah, with all the problems in society, gays are really the thing to focus on.[/sarcasm] This kind of bigotry is just nauseating.

MTV does suck these days, there’s nothing but dumb reality shows like the hills and those dating things, it’s stupid as hell. BUT that has nothing to do with people being gay or lesbian or whatever. If anything he should be worried about what he is teaching kids, swear up a storm and have hate towards people who are different from you..way to go!

you got balls! good for you to stand up. kids need to understand themselves and their sexuality before society pushes them to explore the alternatives. i agree with you 100%!

Ja Rule?

I thought that fool ‘retired’ after that beef with 50 Cent. Why the h@ll is anyone talking to him?

He just have to go after the homosexuals, didn’t he? Not the boring, vacuous blondes of the Hills and Laguna Beach; the ape$hit crazy fcuks on the Real World; and those obnoxious fools on the dating shows.

Obnoxiousness is what he should’ve went after, but then again, that is his bread and butter, at least, it was.

Homosexuals aren’t responsible for the dismal state of MTV; it’s catering to no-talent freaks who are willing to do whatever to be famous.

Hmm. Interesting. he had to know this would cause a commotion when he said. maybe he just likes to be controversial.

I don’t think hes homophobic. he didn’t say he hated gay people.

and it IS true that MTV and others have had that more and more on their agenda recently. how many gay people were on tv shows 10 years ago? and it’s not just because it’s coming to be more acceptable. its MTV and others that are putting these ideas into impressionable young teens as their are maturing. If they didn’t watch certain things would they be gay? who knows.

First of all — let’s hope he doesn’t just sit his kids in front of the TV . The dating shows in general are not suitable for little kids. Don’t know his kids ages, but actually most of what MTV has on isn’t for the little ones. But for teens it’s okay, not for little kids. But if he doesn’t want them to watch it — there’s stuff like parental locks, v chips or God forbid sitting down and watching TV with his kids and he can click the remote to another channel.

I for one am very proud of MTV for including gays in those dating shows. I think it shows we’ve come a long way. And I hope it does influence those teens that even if someone is gay — they are normal people.

I’d like to ask Ja Rule his thoughts of different races dating — is that okay. Cause not too long ago that was “wrong”. I was born gay. Just as he was born black. I didn’t say, hmmmm let’s see how can I be hated. how can I have someone beat me up. What could I do that would have people say vile, hateful words at me oh, oh I’ll be gay that’s it
No, I was born gay — and happy to be (btw)

What’s his thoughts on the rap music that promotes women being sex objects, hated, violence and foul language - does he permit his kids to listen to that
Or movies with violence, does he let his kids watch

I don’t know cause he focused on the “gays”

It worked for Sodom and Gomorrah!

I dont understand why mtv has so many reality shows instead of music, but what does gays have to do with it?????

I find his statement rude, look how much he swears in his music!

no one would choose to be hated. but that doesnt mean you’re born that way. something in your life could have caused to want the affection of someone your own sex, and yet, you still didn’t choose it. just because you don’t choose something doesnt mean you’re born that way. its genetically impossible to be born that way because gay people can’t reproduce.

if that what he thinks then there should also be no swearing , no kissing, no raised voices , no fighting , no nothing.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's The Deal @ 09/12/2007 at 8:08 pm

You all are taking it a little too far…he didn’t say he hates gays, he just said that he doesn’t want his kids exposed to that, at least not yet.

I agree with him 100%. TV is making it seem like being homosexual is totally normal when, as someone earlier pointed out, it’s not. I’m glad someone had the guts to come out and just say it like that.

I AGREE WITH HIM TO A POINT, BECAUSE THE REALITY SHOW DO THE DIRTIEST SHOW, BUT THE RAPPERS THE SAME THING BY DEGRADING WOMEN.
