Ja Rule to MTV: Stop Promoting the Gays
Wed, 12 September 2007 at 5:08 pm
Kanye West isn’t the only one hating on MTV.
Rapper Ja Rule recently made a please to MTV to stop promoting homosexuality in a recent issue of Complex magazine:
“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.
“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.
“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

Also, intrerestingly enough, Jerry Lewis just used a slur against gays during his fundraiser telethon.
Did all of you call him racial slurs too when he said that? Calm down folks.
You are as ugly as Jah Rule. Just as negative and racist. Just read your comments above and the proof is there.
America can be sadly an ugly place.
Thank god I live in a big city where my friends are: black, gay, asian, latino, arab, mixed, jewish…you name it. And peopel are smart and open minded. Thank God!
I feel that the ones on this bulletin that are speaking to the fact that Ja Rule has poor language skills have no other arguement. I believe that the showing of these shows of YOUNG people who “think: they are gay is terrible television. That is my personal opinion. There is also a HUGE responsibility to the parents to monitor the television shows that they do not want their children to view as well. However MTV, is supposed to be Music television..where is the MUSIC? America will be (f’d up) this way with or without gangsta or homosexuals, because we have not learned how to view others’ opinions as just that - one persons view. ♥
WOW! Who posted this? SPELL CHECK. “Pleace” no more silly postings from you.

I am so over all of your hetros, forceing your lifestyle down my throat. Why don’t you people learn how to stay together, rather than having a over 65 percent divorce rate. I am sick of you flaunting your male on female life in my face. Pleace go away. and learn how to be faithful. and not a bunch of Ho’s. I dont need to see you people walking around giving bad influence to my chilren, they need to have more role modles than what you have to offer
Also, here is one more point:
I find it fascinating that as soon as a black person makes a racist statement, we attack their race.
Black people, like Whites are able to be equally racist. Why should they be saints because they are black? As if black people should be like little childrena and be really really careful to not offend anyone because it is as if we are saying “they are black and black is bad enough so they better not attack anyone!”
Jah Rule is not saying anything that many many many people : white black green say about gayys,
It is incredibly offensive yes but why are all of you surprised????
YOUR OWN PRESIDENT IS A HOMOPHOBE!!!!!!1
He can’t even let Gays marry. He made that clear. I think that’s worse. Jah Rule does not dictate what happens to teh lives of Gays but George Bush and all those Republican freaks who are voting against Gays every chance they get are infinitely more damaging than what a dumb singer has to say.
SO IF YOU ARE ALL SO UPSET: write to George Bush and have him promote Gay marriage for all gays and insurance for all gay couoples and adoption rights for all Gay couples.
I love the hypocrisy in America. When a black rapper says it - you scream foul yet your White dummy President says he does not believe in the union of same sex partnerships and you vote for him.
Hypocrites. Make-up your minds.
Who the h-e-ll he think he is? God?
ass! go learn some grammar!
Here in Canada gay marriage is LEGAL! And guess what? The sky hasn’t fallen! Churches still have the right to refuse to officiate a gay marriage (so religious beliefs are protected)! And little boys aren’t kissing each other, and neither are little girls! There’s no way little Timmy’s going to plant a kiss on little Larry if he’s straight, so don’t worry.
Why? BECAUSE BEING GAY IS NOT A CHOICE (and neither is heterosexuality). If you are a straight male (or female), you won’t be sexually attracted to another guy (or girl) just because being gay is accepted in society!!! That just doesn’t make sense. You can tell that people who think that way believe that being gay is a choice and that it can “rub off” on people (as if it were like a cold). Um, no, you can’t catch gay (or straight for that matter).
Besides, all that, why would anyone CHOOSE to be gay if it really was a choice?!? Who would want to willfully subject themselves to homophobia, bashings and discrimination? Seriously, try to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and read some of the anti-gay comments posted here from that perspective. Believe me, you’d come away feeling depressed, unworthy, unwanted and reviled. No wonder there is a higher suicide rate among gays (again if it’s a choice why would someone choose death instead of going straight?).
Dear George Bush: Legalize gay marriage now! You homophobe.

Hey Paulie, as a supporter of gay culture, I never understood why my Gay friends and even non gay friends are so quick to point out that IT IS NOT A CHOICE! So what if it WAS a choice?
All humans in America are considered equal and should have equal rights.
Thisis why I hate some Republicans who blatantly under the guise of their Christian Right rhetoric do not support gays and gay marriage.
Yeah, Canada is ahead of us on that front and in healthcare too!
Its true though….
too much gay **** on tv…
thats pretty much all you see now…
fucken ridiculous….
Team Lara Croft
I agree with you every step of the way but please don’t assume you know who we vote for and why. I am not American but Australian so I do not know alot about your democratic system but I think it is fair to say that people will always vote for the policies that affect them directly. Sadly, a voter’s prefered political party may have a strong econimic policy but may be backward in their thinking towards social reform so therefore, their vote is skewed towards this party because of thier own personal circumstances which might concern family, job security etc etc. Unfortunately, some minority groups miss out because of this. In this case, I think you make a good point that those who really care about social reform can demonstrate this by lobbying their govenment and remaining proactive.
We are talking about JaRule’s comments because this is what this post is specifically concerned with. Peace and thanks for pointing out some important issues.

You are no better than JaRule because you react with more hatred.

“Hey Paulie, as a supporter of gay culture, I never understood why my Gay friends and even non gay friends are so quick to point out that IT IS NOT A CHOICE!”
The reason I brought up the choice issue is to argue against those who say that they don’t want their children to be exposed to same-sex couples on TV (for fear that it will “turn them gay”). My point is that if your child is straight, seeing a gay couple will not turn them towards the same gender.
Maybe when Ja Rule learns to speak english and not jibberish, I might take his view under advisement. Until then, (which will be never)**** that uneducated, homophobic, misogynist, PIG.
I agree it’s gross!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, yes! let’s take our morality lessons from a man who cannot put together a single sentence without using profanity! What a homophobic *******–I got an idea for you, Ja….if you don’t want to see homosexuals on Tv, then DON’T WATCH…that’s what i do when it comes to your music and videos, afterall!
“I am not American but Australian so I do not know alot about your democratic system but I think it is fair to say that people will always vote for the policies that affect them directly. The difference is that in the US, the Republican party has used the issue of gay rights for political purposes. In the 2004 election, a number of states had ballot initiatives defining marriage as between a man and a woman. This was designed to get more voters to come out than usual and to vote for President Bush. In other words, the stakes were risen for social conservatives and more than usual turned out to ensure the amendments passed.
What’s really ******* up America are the conservative right-wing republicans, who are closed-minded and try to live life by taking every sentence in the bible literally. That’s what’s fucked up.
“What’s really ******* up America are the conservative right-wing republicans, who are closed-minded and try to live life by taking every sentence in the bible literally. That’s what’s fucked up.”
And funny enough, you don’t see them rushing to out to introduce a ballot initiative outlawing divorce. They cherry pick the bible to suit their own needs.
One last thing on Ja Fool (from Wikipedia):
***During the 50 Cent feud, he assaulted a African DJ in Nigeria for playing the beat to 21 Questions while he was on stage. Also in 2003, he beat a man in Toronto for laughing at him because of his 50 Cent feud. In August 2007, he was arrested along with Lil Wayne for gun possession. He is also involved with the shooting of 50 Cent along with the controversy of The Inc. and where the money to fund the label came from.***
Ha! Forget the gays, I think Ja better save his children from himself. What a role model!

^^^^^
I get your point Iris.
I just think Jah Rule (a has been) who has not had a hit in years really ultimately does not influence what happens to Gays in America. He is inconsequential.
What has influence are the preachers, priests who people listen to every Sunday who tell them homosexuality is wrong.
What has influence are Senators who get up on television (not just Republicans) John Edwards said he believed marriage was between a man and a woman….but anyway politicians who get on TV to claim they are for all Americans but are against homosexuality.
THOSE are the people we need to get angry at.
Look at all the anger adn ugliness above targeted at Jah Rule.
These morons should use that same anger and direct toward lawmakers who wuill influence Gay people for generations not a one or two hit wonder who is probably gay anyway as maybe musicians are (my friend works in music).
I agree 10000000%
What a homophobic @#sshol!
People like him make me wanna puke all over them.
Where has Rule been?! Hasn’t he fall of the celeb-list years ago. He just needs attention. Poor guy, go to the light Rule!
It’s ironic that he’s bashing gays but he dares to wear a mustache like that. “Thou doth protest too much, methinks!”
What a stupid ass. What’s killing American culture? Rappers and Stupid fanatical hick christian bible-thumpers, that’s who! Music about abusing women and supporting middle-eastern massacres. Yeah, such a moral compass they have.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a choice or if people are born with it. If people want to be with the same sex, it’s their RIGHT. You have a problem with it? Too bad.
God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Why should my 11 year old brother have to turn off mtv at 4pm in the afternoon cos its apparently okay and normal to have homesexuals suck each other’s faces off. I dont agree with hating gays but the the act of homosexuality itself is disgusting, depraved and unnatural. Some actually have the audacity to call you abnnormal if you say anything against homosexuality, what is this world coming to? If one was to be honest with themselves, all would admit that its just plain wrong, it goes against nature. Thats the truth, not narrow mindedness. In any case, let them do their thing but not in front of our children, please. We need to protect them.
Famous!!! i thought you would have more to say in defense of your
peeps, just saying!
what can you say about illmannered, uneducated, ignorant and illeterate jackasses. Nothing. I would suggest before you worry about the ‘gays” look at the other drug taking, alcohol swilling, panty-less, anorexic party ***** on the prowl for casual and meaniningless sexual romps with whomever comes along, and then, after that, drive drunk or high, break the law, kill people, convienently find God and never take responsibility for their actions. These are “celebrities”vto look up o, to show to our children as the models of good behaviour. What wonerful role models for our children. Add onto that the B-list celebrity wannabes who have no life but to hitch their butts to the rich and somewhat famous. Rappers who call women “ho’s” advocatre violence towards police, gays and women. Yeah, lets get the agys off tv because it will make our work better. Someone needs to give this fool (and the rest of you) a real lesson on what is a problem in society. Rest asured youidiots, it’s not gays on tv that are the problem.
Gay people think everything is homophobic. This is not homophobic. I’m not afraid of gay people or being turned into gay person. I don’t want to see people of the same sex getting it on and I certainly don’t want my kids to view this. Gay people make up 1 to 10% of America but MTV is trying to convince teens that there is 1 in every 7 (like in the “Real World” show). They want to equalize gay people with straight people as if they make up 50% of the public which is a complete frabication. I don’t want people to hate gay people or treat them as in equal in life but MTV is has a gay agenda that no one wants to see.
My question is does anyone really care what Ja Rule has to say? I mean really. His career ended years ago and he’s just mad no one wants to play his lame a$$ no more.
