Kanye West isn’t the only one hating on MTV.
Rapper Ja Rule recently made a please to MTV to stop promoting homosexuality in a recent issue of Complex magazine:
“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.
“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.
“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

Thanks Mary. I did not know that. In Australia, it’s compulsory to vote once you turn 18 and you are a citizen of the country. It is actually illegal NOT to vote and you face fines by not doing so. Our current govenment is still quite conservative towards issues concerning homosexuality. Dispite being part of the Commonwealth, our Prime Minister seems to favour the policies of your President rather than take the lead from his former Commonwealth counterpart, Tonly Blair who legalised gay marriage recently.

What do black people have to do with any of this? Sexual orientation is private. If anyone here was married to a sheep in some state I would not need to know about it. Race is not something that is very well hidden nor is it without a background. Homosexuality, on the other hand, knows no conuntry or continent of origin or distinct history for that matter. In a sense akin to being a republican or democrat: Nobody needs to know but you and anybody can fit the bill. That said a rapper should be the last person on earth complaining about the lack of morality in society. HOWEVER, there is validility to the sentiment that our culture pushes acceptance of all values liberal. We should all treat animals fairly, but some people really don’t count. Homosexuality is cool, but marriage is now passe. Religion automatically equates hate, but whatever happened to respecting everyone or does that just apply to gay members of society now?

Are you saying Black people HAVE to accept Gays just because black people are black adn shold be more accepting? When throughout the world, MOST people do not accept Gays. Not just Blacks. MOST people of very religion and ethnicity are against homosexuality yet Black people should be nice and accepting because tghey are Black?
What about the majority of White Americans whose churches and pastors tell them Gay is wrong? They have the right to hate Gays just not Blacks?
