Ja Rule to MTV: Stop Promoting the Gays
Kanye West isn’t the only one hating on MTV.
Rapper Ja Rule recently made a please to MTV to stop promoting homosexuality in a recent issue of Complex magazine:
“We need to go step to Paramount, and ****ing MGM, and all of these other mother****ers that’s making all of these movies.
“We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these ****ing shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this ****.
“Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let’s talk about **** like that! If that’s not ****ing up America, I don’t know what is.”

My brother is a White Gay male (who has had his share of Black boyfriends) and he and I agree on the point I am about to make:
The constitution will NEVER allow for the legalization of discrimination against blacks ever again. Blacks have too much protest power for that to ever happen. It will never happen. Sorry to disappoint you.
However, homosexuality is the great society equalizer: MOST people have made it clear they will not accept it. It is too embedded in people’s religious beliefs. Every religion and society protests against it.
There are no religions who truly have a doctrine that preaches against Blacks - but priests, reverends, even the Pope has made it clear they are hands down against Gay culture, That is why the Catholic church will not allow them to march in parades.
That is why most religions speak against it. I am not agreeing with this but I am simply answering to your “no blacks on TV
” comment. Will NEVER happen.
Getting Gays to be in mainstream? good luck. America and the rest of the world is dead set against it. This is the reality of the world.
Sorry to break the bad news to you all. I am a Liberal but I think the Liberals are damaging their own ideas by really believing they can convince people on this Gay issue. It won’t happen.
Also, the Black community (especially in the Arts) is KNOWN to be very supportive of Gay culture. AA lot of great Black artists were Gay: Luther Vandross, James Baldwin, even Billie Holiday.
The Black drag Queen is a black cultural phenomenon. You find a lot of Gays in Black neighborhoods because White Middle Class neighborhoods don’t accept them as easily. I think you all have gotten it all confused in terms of the race issue here.

I am Black and repulsed by some of your comments. But why am I not surprised? I agree with the poster who said, the Black community, especially poor Black neighborhoods are very accepting of Gays. You can go to the hood right now and you will always find a drag queen prancing around and everyone just accepts them. There is always the “corner” Gay person just hanging out and we don’t bat an eyelid. It is Middle class and rich White people who don’t let them in their neighborhoods. But we do. Clearly a lot of you have never been to a Black neighborhood to know this.

Why am I not surprised that the people who would promptly moan about political correctness, expect Ja Rule’s race to be exempt from the things that can be ridiculed after HE was the first to lash out at a group of people. I’m gay AND black, but I’m not offended by these racist comments because I can understand that “all bets are off”, as the saying goes.

To deny the existence of homosexuality in society is just about the most backward thing I have ever heard. You do not have to agree with it, that’s your prerogative, but your double standards are pathetic. You will not allow Bill and Steve to make out in front of your kids but I am sure you don’t have a problem with your kids seeing Bill and Anna getting hot and steamy. Networks are certainly failing to protect children from explicit content whatever the orientation but you have a responsibility to your children to teach them that diversity exists. What will you do if one of your kids turns out to be gay? Imagine how confused they will be then? Get real people.

Now a days, if you are not pro homosexuality, you are a bad person. The devil has most people’s mind all twisted….this guy is saying he doesn’t want his small children seeing two men tongue kissing each other on MTV in the middle of the day. What’s wrong with that? Granted, he could have said it without all the curse words. But his point is right on. We are losing all our morals and standards, and becoming an immoral society. I in no way think it it right to harm or discriminate against homosexuals. But anyone who thinks homosexuality is correct or accepted by God is living a dangerous lie. However, if you don’t believe in God, then I guess it doesn’t matter anyway. I guess we’ll know what the right answer was all along, on the day of judgement.

God created human beings of various races, placing NONE above the other. However, homosexuality refers to a “behavior” that the bible classifies as a sexual sin, that is particularly aggregious to God. To compare the two is ridiculous. Again, homosexuals should not be condemned. However, the lifestyle should not be promoted, especially to children. Non-acceptance is often viewed as hate, the wool has been pulled over the eyes of many. Homosexual behavior is not the only thing that they need to take off MTV, but also the promotion of promiscous sexual behavior among heterosexual teens, needs to stop also.

GENDER is what is what is being compared to race and is directly analogous since they both are physical attributes used by people to dictate the moral status of a relationship.
