Joaquin Phoenix: I am a Hot Mess

Joaquin Phoenix passes by a “YOU ARE A HOT MESS” sign as he jets out of a press event on Thursday during The 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival.

Here’s another snippet from the TIFF press conference, where he gives roundabout answers when asked about his performance in Reservation Road: “I’m going to be frank with you. But, to be honest … there is no effect on your real life. And if I said so in the past, I was probably only trying to get nominated (he’s been nominated twice). “And now that that’s done, [laughs] I can finally be honest.”

FYI: Yes, the main image is Photoshopped! The original sign read, “Please ring the bell to open the gate for deliveries.” Hehehe.

I guess being a brilliant craftsman and delivering phenomenal performance after phenomenal performance all the while keeping your life grounded and private means not having your “**** together?” Please.
He’s amazing and uncombed or not, he always brings a smile to my face–something the perfectly put together but shallow and vapid celebrities never do.

Well, muchachas and muchachos, if that’s how you roll, what can I say. Mr. Phoenix is like a good wine, just keeps getting better with time. He is a great actor and seems to be a beautiful soul. God bless him.
