Rachel Bilson’s Grocery Shopping Spree

Rachel Bilson stocks up on her groceries on Thursday at a branch of Gelson’s in Los Angeles, where she spent well over an hour picking up bags full of goodies. Bilson wore 7 for All Mankind jeans, a Hermes scard, and a Tri-Blend Rib Lightweight Raglan Pullover by American Apparel.

The former O.C. star recently signed on for a multi-episode arc on NBC’s new dramedy Chuck. Bilson will be playing the third party of a love triangle with Chuck and his CIA protector on the show, Yvonne Strzechowski.

Said Josh Schwartz, the series’ co-creator and executive producer, “Rachel’s been traveling all over the world shooting a big Doug Liman action-movie Jumper, and she was going to be in Los Angeles for a little while. We were talking and thought it would be fun to work together again, even for a few weeks. Having worked with her for four years, I know how funny Rachel is and what a good match she’d make for the show, and for Zach Levi. For a first-year series, it’s really hard to get big name guest stars, so we’re all really excited and grateful that she could do this.”

Don’t blame Rachel for the pictures. It might also be the publicity of Fox tipping off and paying the paps to take pictures of her all the time. They spent $100 M on Jumper and keeping the stars of the movie in the public eye is part of the movie’s PR budget.

RB is one of those celebs who has a publicity agency that employs a certain number of blog workers that do nothing but haunt the blogs doing damage control for their celebs. You can tell after a while, because so many of the posts are the same thing, over and over. That’s their job, pathetic as it is, they live their lives doing damage control for celebs that don’t want the truth out about them. The likes of The Brangelinas, Tom Cruise, The Beckhams also have PR blog workers - and of them are A Listers, but if some celebs are obviously not in this category, they’re just wannabees!

Hollywood’s typical manufacturing machine. The not so attractive, not all that talented product of the Hollywood machine. Put her on some magazine covers. Throw her in a few high fashion outfits, and continually pipe in the public’s mind that she is the “it” person. Eventually you will believe it. She is no more talented or pretty than an American idol contestant. She just had better agents and pr. The American dream is dead. Fame is cheap. This is the truth proving that.

I’m a fan of Rachel but I’m not sure if she should be taking this role. She’s playing the girlfriend of a Seth Cohen type character again. But if the guy who gave you the biggest break in your career and a personal friend to boot asks you for a favor you can’t say no.
I’d like her to do something different next time.

Would it be more even better if a celeb/s are actually doing something with their careers and not relying on the paparazzi to keep them staying on the headlines or are not relying on their friends just to keep them working. But I guessed that if you don’t have what it takes to be taken seriously, you’ll do everything just to convinced yourself that you’re still that relevant…
