Zac Efron: Suit + Flip-Flops?
BFF co-stars Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky, aka Zikki, keep wraps around each other at Rome photocall of Hairspray on Friday.
Zac mixed it up by wearing a suit and adding a casual touch with his favorite flip-flops. (He’s also still sporting the “LOVEship” ring that was he and Vanessa Hudgens both wear.) Nikki paired her brown polka dot dress with a black shrug.

Hi, I’m Italian and today in rome over 20.000 people attended Zac Efron in “Piazza del popolo” for a mtv italy show.It was so beautiful!!.Tomorrow he will be in a tv show called “Il treno dei desideri”, the show more viewed on italian tv.

When in Italy was 3 p.m. Zac and Nikki were at TRL on Mtv! I was there with my two best friends and a lot of fans! It was amazing! Zac and Nikki had a lot of fun (I hope) and they said something in italian! So cool!

There is nothing wrong with the term “Zikki” IMO bc it just refers to them as BFF. It is still all about Zanessa for most of us and luckily it still seems to be that way for Z and V too. Now on Zac’s fashion choices. He still looks hott-and I am sure that flipflops are far more comfortable than some dress shoes so more power to him!!

He looks ok to me. You guys need to consider that in other countries, it is more important to be comfortable and different. he is a singer and actor, he can mix it up with and it woulld still be ok. It looks to me like he is trying to send a message…his body language is not normal. The hand clasp gave it away, you don’t pose like that in front of camera. You don’t need to dress up to look good when you already are.

yeah i think the flip flops are ok - Ive been to Italy three times and everyone wears them in the summer, men, women whatever and with all kinds of clothes so what is the big deal - also sorry to be pedantic but what he’s wearing isn’t technically a suit, so that’s even less of a big deal!

Well said Lisa. Personally I love his dynamic with Nikki..how close they are shines through in every interview they do together. I’m glad they both have someone to share the load throughout what must be a crazy period in their lives. I met Zac when he was in London and while you could see he really appreciates the fans it was clear that the sheer craziness of it gets to him as well. They were on TRL in Rome yesterday afternoon and Italian tv last night as well and as ever they were supporting each other throughout the hysteria. This is what they do.
As for these pics..I feel duty to point out that Nikki’s shrug is dark brown to match her dress not black as you said Jared. My first thought on seeing these (and indeed the recent Oz and Madrid shots) is..gosh they both look so grown up! I mean if you think back to when they were first doing promo early July…they have the fresh-faced, earnest teenage look to them. Now..it’s like they’ve morphed into this sexy man and woman, confident in their style etc. Nikki has always had poise but now she radiates superstar & Zac once said filming Hairspray was really when he grew up and became a man…I think he’s sealed the deal in this last couple of weeks. For starters, it’s not a suit. The pants and jacket don’t match. I don’t much care what he wears and he probably doesn’t at this point either. In a couple of the pics he appears fresh, but they must be down-right exhausted. Can you imagine? Every couple of days jumping on a plane, another city, another hotel, more interviews with the same questions and they have to try to make their responses seem fresh and original. Photographers screaming their names constantly for pics and lightbulbs flashing in your face ’til you’re nearly blind. Is there any down-time? They pay a heavy price for fame. Deep connection or not - one thing you need to know though is that they are both very young and when young love gets too much pressure - it usually caves in. I know it, I was just in that situation.
