Brad Pitt was interviewed by USA Today at the Toronto Film Festival last week. His intense character study The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford opens in limited release Friday and netted him the best-actor award at the Venice Film Festival.
On relating to his character Jesse James: “I understand the essence of paranoia. I understand being hunted, to some degree. I understand a bounty on my head. But the movie is about so much more. The real tragedy is that there was a chance he could have gotten past this moment. He’s wrestling with himself and lost that battle.”
On the Jolie-Pitts being like the Jesse James clan, which quietly shuffled from home to home to evade authorities: It’s impossible for us. We’re run out of every major city. There’s just too many paparazzi. There’s always cameras in the kids’ faces, yelling their names. Angie gets out of the car, and they take the camera down to the curb and shoot up (her skirt). It’s unbelievable. [That's why] there’s a constant negotiation in how to survive and how to maintain a family life.”
On having honed his instincts: “You develop radar. Like I know when there’s someone in the bushes 300 yards away shooting,. I know to recognize that feeling. (On the Canadian set), there was a guy in total camouflage, who commandoed his way on knee and elbow. And I know that feeling. It’s inexplicable, one of those instincts.”

What exactly is your problem? You are more than a bit odd. Bradley does not want Cate, if he did he would have had her by now or tried to have her. He wanted Angelina. He went after Angelina (which he has admuted to) and he got her and quickly put his name on her children and his baby in her belly. Pitt is probably the smartest MF in HW he used America’s obsessive need for a ‘Golden Icon’ to rise to the top and stay there. Notice that of all the women he could have chosen, he went after the one woman who can stand on her own and had who had already established herself not only in HW but in the global scheme of Humanities; a woman who could introduce him to world leaders. She held more respect as a UN ambassador then he as an actor and she loved being a mother. He wanted that life and now he has it and neither Cate, Gwen, Julia nor Jennife could give him that.
Only one woman could and did. Her name is Angelina Jolie.
Don’t waste your time wishing their relationship over. Even if it ends today, she will still have been the most memorable and most loved woman of his existence.

Former Editor Sues US Weekly Over Raids

A former US Weekly editor has sued the magazine for $55 million, saying its employees damaged her career by accusing her of stealing information from the magazine’s computers.
Jill Ishkanian’s lawsuit, filed Monday, says editors lied to the FBI last year when they claimed she hacked into computers and stole celebrity information and photographs.
Federal agents later raided Ishkanian’s home and her business, detained her and confiscated computer equipment and documents. She was never arrested or charged.
“The powers-that-be undertook a systematic attack on her personally and against her business,” said Ishkanian’s attorney, Nicholas Tepper.
Ishkanian left the magazine in 2005 to start Sunset Photo, a celebrity photo agency that competes with the magazine. Negative publicity surrounding the raids hurt her career, Tepper said.
The suit names US Weekly’s West Coast editor Ken Baker, Editor-in-Chief Janice Min, owner Jann Wenner and Wenner Media, which also publishes Rolling Stone magazine.
She’s seeking damages for emotional distress, libel, slander, and conspiracy.
US Weekly spokesman Mark Neschis declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Oh Brad, quit yer whining….Most of us know (the ones with common sense that is) that your PR people are the ones that contact the paparazzi to let them know whenever you and Angelina will be out and about and where. Isn’t it funny they took off from NYC last Thursday, and there have been no “pictures” of them posted anywhere. So when THEY want to, they can find places to go into hiding. So that just proves MY point, they TELL the paps when, where and why they will be at any location.
Don’t worry, your 15 mins of over exposure and over hypeness is soon to come to an end.

I read about this at jossip.com yesterday; they had the details of the allegations and man, they should turn the spotlight in-house because nothing they have written about compares to behind-the-scenes sleaze going on there.
Just wondering where is this 9 foot bed? Is it in LA or New Orleans? Do you think that they move it around with them in the plane? Maybe it is is New York? the whole 9 foot bed thing is like his ‘deep” relationship with Jen - a lie.
Also he is not trying to protect his family. Johnny Depp and Matt Damon protect their families. They don’t sell pictures of them for money, they don’t bring them to film festivals and use boats where all the paps are, they don’t talk about them at every press conference. That is protecting your family! Brad is using his family to get attention.
Also AMH is doing very poorly in theatres overseas. Even Derailed which was a huge flop according to you guys made about 1.4 million in spain. AMH made only 500,000. Sad when you have to compare AMH to Deprailed and Derailed comes out ahead. Derailed actually made twice as much in the USA as AMH. If Derailed was a flop then what do you call AMH!!!!
And why are we hear - you guys really want to know this. We are hear to drive you guys crazy and make a point about two cheaters who use their families and x partners to get media attention. As a “hater” I am hoping that the family stays together (kids don’t deserve to be in the middle of a family spliting), but hoping that their moive careers BOMB and its seems like this is happening. Brad and Angelina are the number one target for the paps at the moment. They stake them out where ever they can. Brad and Angie are professionals when it comes to promoting their movies and their locations are hardly a secret to anyone with the know how to get the info. They have more privacy in certain places. However, the paps pay for information–they pay airport personnel to give them flight plans, hotel personnel to give them information on who is staying with the hotel, they pay restaurant folks to tell them when stars come in. Brad and Angie are stalked. Someone on this thread compared them to britney ick and Parasite. Well the two of them call the paps to tell them when they are coming and going. That is documented. In an article in the Chicago Tribune when Angelina was filming in town–a reporter was interviewing a pap in his car about the frenzy surrounding this couple. The pap said they were the number one target in the world for pictures. And while she was interviewing the pap, he got a call on his phone that Angie was trying to sneak out of the back of the hotel in a black SUV–11 cars worth of paps chased that SUV not even knowing for sure if she was in it. They were in constant contact with each other through two-way radios, cell phones etc. trying to see if she was in the car and guess where she was going. The reporter said the pap ran stop signs, red lights, did illegal turns etc. She ended up at a toy store with Zahara and tried to sneak out of the back there, but there were five cars worth of paps in back. The paps had the street blocked. The store owner came out and yelled at them and told them she was going to call the police.
Yeah, this sounds like Brad and Angie call them up in order to endanger their children, intrude on their private time and because they enjoy being mobbed and potentially injured.
There is a difference between promoting a movie with paps swarming and trying to sneak off and have some private special time with your child. Many of you on this board don’t get it do you?
