she still made a dumb decision, and past or current - it still happened. what a hypocrite. she knew she had a career building and she was gonna get famous, so how can you say that she didn’t know it would affect her?

Their inability to own up to their actions speaks far worse for people like britney, lindsey and paris. Owning up and taking responsiblity is what makes Vanessa a good role model.

Vanessa took those photos while she was yet an underage CHILD, enamored by a boy she hardly knew. That is out-of-control lack of parental guidance behavior. She behaved like a groupie calling someone her “boyfriend,” while he didn’t exactly feel the same. She was NOT “tricked” into taking those photos, she took them of HERSELF! She E-MAILED them, which means she practically put her photos out on the internet herself!

RECAP:

~She E-MAILED the nude pictures! Drake more than likely isn’t the only one who checks his e-mail, a lot of actors don’t check their own e-mail and fan letters.

You’re in denial if you think what she did hasn’t put her in a bad basket. You’re letting her girly charm fool you. There’s even talk of a sex tape pending release hanging over her head! Oh Yes, she is definitely in the Lindsay & Paris basket, she’s just not deep in that basket. Vanessa knew she HAD DONE those things BEFORE calling Lindsay and Paris’ behavior stupid.

OK, when you KNOW you robbed a bank yourself, then call someone else who has robbed a bank stupid… you’re a hypocrit for attempting to market yourself as if you’d never robbed a bank.

I’m glad her perspective was cought on tape, before the photos came out… this should be raising red flags all over the place.

There’s no way I can watch her play the role of Gabriella with the same enthusiam. Disney was marketing the “innocent” girl not just the innocent character she played in the movie.

I am a Vanessa fan myself but, like lola said, it is what it is. She was being a hypocrite when she judged the other girls. She knew by society standards that nude pics at age 14-15 were a no no, that’s why it was private! I am sure it was hanging over her head. Who could ever forget ever taking nude pics??? could any of you??? And by saying “I honestly just think it’s stupid. [laughs] It’s easy to stay out of those situations. You just have to be smart about your decisions” that made her a hypocrite.

Well, the teeny boppers aren’t separating fact from fiction very well, that’s why the “kids” are marketed right along with the characters they play. Disney exploits that grey line and it works.

hmmmmm was this before or after the nude scandal? when tyra said she heard a rumor i thought she was tlkg about the pics. i was like o wow. but i thought the little prom was cute. she should never sing live like that ever. i still love her though

first of all, she thinks she’s little miss goody 2 shoes yet she obviously got herself into some mess too. and wow i’m sure she really knows a lot about hollywood…she’s all of what, 18? wait until she’s in the spotlight more, then she has some room to talk sh*t about what everyone else is doing. what a know it all brat.

Yeah, I’ll admit I fell for the Disney marketing and I enjoyed both “wholesome” films. I’ve seen the “photos,” which means I’ll “see” the photos when I see Gabriella if played by Vanessa. It’s called psychology and we are all influenced by it. In other words the photos being “out there” is a DISTRACTION to the family wholesome image Disney has marketed around this movie.

It reminds me of the marketing for Bridge to Tarabithia. I so hated how they trumped up the animated fantasy aspects of the film, knowing that there was little of it in the movie. I still liked the movie though, but I sure thought I was deceived about the content of the movie.

OK, so Vanessa has made a mistake. Some mistakes “should” cost you your job, but it doesn’t mean you can’t go to another company and apply and move on.

I understand that this interview was filmed before the photo scandal. However, even if she hadn’t posed for those pictures, I still think it’s ridiculous of her to act like she’s never made a bad decision. We’ve all made bad decisions. Who is she to criticize other celebrities and act like little miss high and mighty? I know that I’m being hypocritical (yeah, I know, word of the day) by criticizing her, but I’ve had it with all of this. Disney has just tried to market her as some girly, innocent teen idol. Well, she screwed that one up. So much of what we see is all marketing and illusions…it’s absurd.
