High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens gave quite the interesting interview on Monday’s episode of The Tyra Banks Show.
Tyra threw Vanessa a faux prom because V never got the chance to attend her high school prom. Vanessa also burst into song a couple times throughout the show. Watch the video below! Here are some highlights:
So when you [and Zac Efron] are singing the songs “I LOVE YOU” and stuff, you guys were falling in love on set? I guess! [giggles] It’s fun to work with him. He’s really sweet and singing all of songs is always a blast.
Is Zac Efron a good kisser on-screen? (tight-lipped) Mmmmmm. (Tyra responds, “Oh, it’s that good? Mmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!”)
What is your ethnic background? My mom’s Filipino, my dad’s Caucasian. But within that, I’m Chinese, Spanish, American-Indian and Irish.
Best part about being famous? THE FREE STUFF.
When you read about young stars like Britney and Lindsay and them getting in trouble, how does that affect you personally? I honestly just think it’s stupid. [laughs] It’s easy to stay out of those situations. You just have to be smart about your decisions.

hmmmm… What if HBO hired O.J. Simpson to play the acting role of a loving and caring husband… do you honestly think the human psychology will have no influence on viewer interest?

Its only a distraction to certain types of people Lei. Its relatively minor news compared to everything else going on out there in celebrity land.
Uh only someone completely prudish could compare a stupid home photo to a supposed Murderer. Your comparing apples to oranges at this point Lei honestly. Being accused of a serious crime compared to something dumb you do at home are completely two different things. Nude photo’s of yourself you might share with someone you trust isn’t a crime. Its techincally not even immoral, its just not something you want your kids to do (but alot of kids do even if their parents have no clue).

Does IMDB know something everyone else doesn’t? Vanessa isn’t listed even as in talks for HSM3 anymore, no new projects are listed after HSM2. Adrienne is listed instead to play Gabriella with after it instead of in talks like the other three leads. Makes you wonder…
Whether or not Vanessa stays with Disney, I think she has a pretty solid career in front of her, she just has to make the smart moves from this point forward. She has the support from her loved ones to help her get through this and I think everyone who is watching her is just waiting to see what she does with this platform now.
As to people who say they can’t watch the movies without seeing her pictures, that’s not the case for everyone. As it was stated before, these movies are an escape from reality, not a reality show. If the acting is strong, you should be able to believe in the character in front of you and not the actress behind the character.
to ilsvont, that’s the stuff for being famous. not for being an actress or a singer. just because you’re famous doesn’t mean you need to be an artist. they’re two different things. fame just comes along with most acting and singing.
Thats kinda weird Molly then again IMDB runs off mostly volunteered information from users and not always professional sources. If they use someone else for HSM3 it’d destroy the franchise and Disney knows that.
Vanessa and Tyra are really cute and beatiful. It is really fun when hearing they sang home school musica. They had a great interview time.

and #129 planet reality, aside from the PUBLIC events that Lindsay/Britney did, there were PRIVATE incidents that got out. Like Lindsay’s knife pictures with Vanessa Minnillo - inside a household for a small party, but the pictures got online. Britney’s alleged cheating on Justin Timberlake - private relationship matters. It’s how Hollywood functions.. too bad Vanessa didn’t know it yet.

Of course we’re not perfect. I think people are taking issue with Vanessa’s judgement of others who made mistakes and aren’t perfect. It’s not that Vanessa’s not perfect, it’s that she tried to make like she was perfect without spot or wrinkle.
I think there’s something bigger that we may be overlooking….forget the nude picture scandal I think the higher ups at Disney and Zac and Vannessa’s “people” may have a problem with their relationship. Remember it’s not good to mix your work life with your personal life. Just a thought….
And everyone does seem to be in agreement across alot of these websites that it would be best to NOT replace Gabriella but if you don’t want her in the picture have her move away. I would have a terrible time explaining to my daughter why the doll she has and the actress on the screen is different.
And I think children under at least 11 shouldn’t even know about the nude pictures….why would you tell young kids this and why in the world would they be on the Internet without an adult editing what they are seeing???? I must be new to this whole parenting thing, but my kids definitely wouldn’t have access to this info.
And IMDB doesn’t have Lucas Grabeel even listed….why wouldn’t he do HSM3?

I feel sad for her really. She made a mistake that she never thought at sixteen and unfamous would haunt her now. Wonder why these didn’t come out in HMS 1? This is not a judjement she is making about Brit and Lindsay, this is the truth!! She didn’t do anything nasty in those pics, see was young, still is and she has been a good role model ecspecially when you see Trailer trash like the spears and lohans and even paris and nicole. They are not even close to Vanessa Hudgens. You know Ashley Tisdale had a nipple showing on a dress malfunction and no one got hyper over that. She once said she doesn’t like to dress scantly, but I would say her dress was just that. No one is perfect. Look at Anjolina Jolie, since she has been doing good for other countries, poeple have decided to forget that she would cut herself, make out at public events and wear her partners blood not to mention the fact that she practacly had sex with her brother???? Vanessa has nothing to worry about. I am sure she will be careful in the future. I still would rather her be a role model than the others mentioned above.

I did lol about the brit/lindsey question but she is not like them. they do stuff that they want to get into the papers. Vanessa is a private person who had someone leaking the pictures to hurt her. she did not pose 4 playboy or walk out the house wearing no underwear so she is not in the same place as them. What she has learnt is not to trust people.
There are positive role models and then there are negative role models. I was standing in the grocery line and saw Vanessa’s scandal on the cover of a magazine. Hmmmmph just that simple — no TV channel — no internet. There’s Vanessa’s business for me to browse through while standing waiting my turn in line at check-out. This scandal business is “negative” not positive, even if she has learned her lesson, which remains to be seen over time.

Even you’re calling Vanessa’s behavior “teenage stupidity,” yet I know a lot of teenagers who don’t take naked pictures of themselves and send the photos out in an e-mail in an attempt to maintain anyone’s under-age sexual/lustful interest.
