OlderBrad Pitt is a Fighter
Brad Pitt will star opposite Mark Wahlberg in boxing flick The Fighter, a drama about boxer Irish Mickey Ward and his unlikely path to become world lightweight champion.
According to Variety, Brad replaced Matt Damon because of scheduling conflicts.
Mr. Pitt will play Dicky Eklund, Mickey’s half-brother and a talented fighter who once went the distance with Sugar Ray Leonard in a title fight but then turned to crime and landed in prison. Then he turned his life around and helped his underperforming brother find the spark for a remarkable run that led to the world title.
The Fighter will be directed by Rachel Weisz’s hubby Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain).
You just know there will be lotsa shirtless and sweaty scenes in this film. Ladies, buy your drool rags now.

thanks jared you more than anyone know how we care for brad and angie,as far as his looks he is still very nice looking,he is a man now ,not no baby face star.i am proud that he likes to work.he will do justice to this movie.he is a very honest caring person to everyone and especialy his family.

Productions companies are trying to get films done before the strike. So probably the beginning of the year BP would star in this movie. Variety wrote months ago that production companies felt after spring of 2008 no films will be in process because of the strike.

What strike?
Brad is so in demand. Quality films are being offered to Brad left and right. Look at who is directing, no bad blood there like some keep screaming due to The Fountain and Brad’s decision not to do that film. This will be a great film as the story is one of real life redemption and reformation of one’s life.
Brad will make this one as soon as he completes State of Play so next year probably Feb/March-June. Very doable.
Studios are rushing to make films ASAP in light of the possible strike next summer, squeezing in as many as possible by June/July 2008. They are making hay while the sun shines, stockpiling as many films as possible to have some products for theatres. If strike happens no films will be made last half of 2008.

Before saying that AMH is not doing good internationally, wait a couple of months and then talk. The film just opened in a few countries. For example in Japan it will be open in december, so let´s wait, shall we..?

You can say the opposite of Jolie. Jolie holds the record with EIGHT RAZZIE NOMINATIONS, an entire filmography of box office flops, and HORRIBLE MOVIES that the critics and audiences HATED. Plus she’s MISCAST in ALL her roles. i.e. The Good Shepherd. Jolie will continue to get miscast, star in horrible films that flop at the box office… WHILE Brad continues to star in GREAT films receiving critical acclaim.

You can’t say that about any of Jolie’s films. All her films are HORRIBLE JOKES. i.e. Tomb Raider 1&2, Alexander, Beyond Borders, Sky Captain, Original Sin, Life or Something Like It, just to name a few.
AMH has made close to a $1 million more abroad, I learnt it is in limited release.
