OlderBrad Pitt is a Fighter
Brad Pitt will star opposite Mark Wahlberg in boxing flick The Fighter, a drama about boxer Irish Mickey Ward and his unlikely path to become world lightweight champion.
According to Variety, Brad replaced Matt Damon because of scheduling conflicts.
Mr. Pitt will play Dicky Eklund, Mickey’s half-brother and a talented fighter who once went the distance with Sugar Ray Leonard in a title fight but then turned to crime and landed in prison. Then he turned his life around and helped his underperforming brother find the spark for a remarkable run that led to the world title.
The Fighter will be directed by Rachel Weisz’s hubby Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain).
You just know there will be lotsa shirtless and sweaty scenes in this film. Ladies, buy your drool rags now.

While MS is a great actress, Angie is in a different catagory. MS doesn’t have the classic beauty that Angie has, is. Plus they are ages apart in years. Angie has it all. Darren Aronofsky is one hell of a director. I love him. He is my favourite after D.Fincher.
That’s great for Brad! The movie’s script sounds really good.
Brad and Angie are in high demand. They have dozens of offers. They are completely respectable in the industry as actors.
And for Christ sake Brad and Angie have been working left and right these year and they have only been apart just for a few days!! They are always together with their family.
Angie is going to film “Changeling” this year in a couple of months and then she takes a break. Brad has only TWO up coming projects. “State of Play” and “The Fighter”. So since Angie will not work next year and Brad has only two months of work at best he will have plenty of time to be with his family do their humanitarian activities and enjoy their life. They don’t have to be locked in a cage to be together. Stop the drama!!!
