Jude Law Has Short Hair
Jude Law shows off his newly cropped cut at the Peace One Day concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday in London, England.
POD is an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence envisioned by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley. Artists headlining the concert include Annie Lennox with Yusuf Islam, Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison, Beth Orton, and Marc Almond.

Yay, Yay, Yay. I won’t say he has never looked bad as I can thnk of one or two hair-dos that were the kind you want to forget immediately but this is one I like. It’s so neat and trim looking as befits a military man (what he is in Reposession Mambo, an ex-military man and that’s what’s on his mind next.) But then he always looks good because the cameras love affair with jude is even greater than all of his fans put together. I just can never get enough of you and I know i have lots of company who share that view. Can’t wait for SLEUTH and am so proud of his part of Peace Day. Here’s a man who looks as good from the inside as he does on the outside. THanks again Jared, you’ve made my day ,again.

I think he looks good as always. I think he looks better with a bit longer hair but this is better than the long hair he had for Sleuth. Also - he’s NOT going bald. His hair line is staying put, it’s just a bit high on the forehead.

A few years ago, Jude Law was tossing ideas around and thought it might be neat to rewrite Sleuth, a famous play-turned-movie by Anthony Shaffer. Soon after, Harold Pinter signed on to write the screenplay. Michael Caine was a natural choice for the part of Andrew Wyke, and Law took on the part of Milo Tindle (played by Caine in the original film). To round out this stellar group, Kenneth Branagh (best known for his Shakespearian adaptations) came on as director. Need I say more at this point? This is a bloody fantastic mixing of minds here.
The story is about two very intelligent, very clever men who battle it out, mind and body, over a woman who never appears on screen. Andrew is a rich detective novelist, and Milo is an out-of-work actor who happens to be sleeping with Andrew’s wife. In the first scene, the two men meet for what seems like a casual conversation about the woman they both want to possess. As jealousy and rage take over, however, they become embroiled in an ever-escalating fight of wits and masculine energy. The entirety of the film takes place inside the millionaire’s house, which acts as an ominous third character with moving cameras, mood lighting, and interesting architecture. Visually, the film is striking, shot with odd angles, and moments that suddenly become awash with red or green depending on the current psychological state of the characters. The intense string music plays an integral role by amplifying the suspense. And I haven’t even mentioned the knockout performances by Caine and Law.
Harold Pinter’s script is of the highest caliber: it is precise, dark, understated, and gripping - there would be no film without it. It is a sharp, challenging discourse that would intimidate even the most experienced actor, and yet Caine and Law both give staggering performances - they are both so charismatic they nearly explode off the screen. For Jude Law to work on equal ground with Michael Caine and pull it off so convincingly is quite the feat.
Everything in this film matters: there is not a wasted shot, a wrong expression, or a useless prop in its 94-minute runtime. Sleuth is by far the most stimulating, captivating, and technically brilliant film I have seen at the festival, and with such a masterful cast and crew I would not have expected anything less.

jude law has absolutely the most interesting face on this planet. it’s not a question of just how beautiful he is….. it’s the inner heat he radiates and the intelligence behind THOSE EYES. he’s perfect. he’s going to toronto to film repossesion mambo with forest whitaker and is in the process of making a big party for his mum and dad’s 40th wedding anniversary. his kids will be there along with his ex sadie frost.
Jude has always had this hairline. I noticed it when I saw some pictures of him with Sadie, where he had his hair combed back. So what has he been fighting? He has worn his hair short before (had it shaved completely off when Rudy was a baby, there are pictures and you can see the hairline there as well). I like his hair better long, though, but he’ll do what he needs to for roles or whatever suits his mood. I think people just need to go and scrutinize themselves more closely, I bet there’s enough work there to keep them busy. I like him and I admire him for working for peace. Maybe some of you all need to learn to be more peaceful, you might like it.

thanks for the pics and the info about Letterman. I’ve seen the newest trailer which makes Sleuth seem irrepressable. Can’t wait to see it next month. As for Peace One Day - I admire Jude’s commitment and today I went to the Park and prayed for peace - as I hope millions of others around the world prayed in their own way. I had hoped the concert would be on internet - but I couldn’t find any information.
As for the hair, he looks intense and tough; love the chest hair; similar hair cut after Road to Perdition - when he cut most of his hair off. This time I imagine it is for his next film shooting next month.
In my opinion Jude is hot - no matter his hair style etc.

Haha that’s what I was thinking too. It reminds me of a blog I read yesterday. The blogger was some guy in Toronto for TIFF. He said he came upon a crowd in front of a hotel, all waiting for Jude Law to show up (based on some rumour). He said he has never seen such a collection of beautiful women in his life. The guy was feeling sorry for himself because Jude could just have any of those women at any time.

Yep, it was those eyes that first caught my attention in Cold Mountain…their expressiveness. I just get melty when they are shown in close-up in his films…they’re just gorgeous.
jude is never afraid to play against his beauty,,,he cuts his hair off or he has his teeth look like they’re ground down or he grows a beard. what you have to understand about jude law is that he tries to have the movie public watch his performances..NOT concentrate on the beauty….jude darlin’that’s hard to do. everytime you kissed julia roberts in closer or cameron in the holiday or nicole kidman in cold mountain or susan sarandon in alfie it was really hard to concentrate on your acting chops…that gorgeous face keeps getting in the way. but you are a great actor……
