I love it that everyone was wondering where Angie and Brad were and they off doing their thing. ANGELINA JOLIE VISITS IRAQ AND IRAQI REFUGEES

UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador witnesses humanitarian crisis

DAMASCUS, Tuesday 28 August (UNHCR) -

UUNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has visited Iraq and Syria to see first-hand the plight of hundreds of thousands of families uprooted by the ongoing conflict in Iraq.

The UN refugee agency estimates more than 4. 2 million Iraqis have left their homes - 2 million to neighbouring states and another 2.2 million displaced inside Iraq.

Yesterday in Damascus, Jolie visited a UNHCR registration centre and spent hours talking to Iraqi refugees in their homes. Today, she crossed into Iraq to visit 1,200 refugees trapped in a makeshift camp at the border, unable to flee Iraq, and later watched scores of Iraqis crossing into Syria at a border checkpoint.

As a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie said she would leave politics to others while focusing on the region’s huge humanitarian needs.

“I have come to Syria and Iraq to help draw attention to this humanitarian crisis and to urge governments to increase their support for UNHCR and its partners,” Jolie said. “My sole purpose in both countries is to highlight the plight of those uprooted by the war in Iraq.”

After talking with some of the stranded refugees at Iraq’s Al Waleed camp on Tuesday, Jolie said: “it is absolutely essential that the ongoing debate about Iraq’s future includes plans for addressing the enormous humanitarian consequences these people face.”

While in Iraq, she separated from UNHCR to visit privately with U.S. troops and other Multi-National Forces based in the area.

Jolie arrived in Syria on Monday. In Damascus, she met some of the thousands of Iraqi refugees registering with UNHCR, nearly one-quarter of whom are victims of violence and torture. Tens of thousands are without jobs, and many young people are in danger of losing out on an education and a future. She recognized Syria for its open borders and generosity to Iraqis.

In late July, UNHCR and UNICEF launched a joint $129 million education appeal aimed at getting 155,000 young Iraqi refugees throughout the Middle East back into school. The United States announced Tuesday that it will contribute $30 million to the appeal.

The Post’s Pitt Stop

Stop the presses! Brad Pitt paid a sort-of-but-not-really surprise visit to The Post’s newsroom yesterday, and not since Denzel Washington’s newsroom tour in 1993 did so many heads turn and so much workplace productivity swirl down the drain.

Pitt, 43, is in town researching his upcoming role as an investigative reporter in “State of Play,” a Washington-based drama about hard-nosed journos trying to solve the murder of a young political staffer, according to production supervisor Kwame Parker.

In his signature gray tweed English racing hat, blue slacks — not jeans! — a tan blazer and a white button-down shirt sans tie, Pitt graciously offered a few waves and “heys” to in-house admirers while he spent four hours making the rounds with “State of Play” director Kevin Macdonald.

The visitors lunched across the street at Palette with Post Vice President at Large Ben Bradlee, Executive Editor Len Downie and political reporter Dan Balz. Then they took a tour of the newsroom and had meetings with Managing Editor Phil Bennett, Chairman Don Graham and Publisher Bo Jones. Finally, Pitt headed back downstairs for a chat with military affairs and Pentagon reporter Josh White and a catch-up session with investigative reporter James Grimaldi– also known around the office as Pitt’s Sigma Chi frat brother at the University of Missouri back in 1984.

“It was really a conversation about craft,” said Metropolitan Editor R.B. Brenner, who is consulting for the filmmakers and spent part of the afternoon talking shop with Pitt and Macdonald. For his part, White reports that Pitt was polite, engaged in the subject and asked good questions.

The rest of The Post’s scribes tried — but not too hard — to act nonchalant while gazing dreamily in the actor’s direction. “It was like angels singing,” one female employee was overheard saying after apparently making brief eye contact.

Pitt’s partner, actress Angelina Jolie, was nowhere to be found (which was probably just as well, because we have these things called “deadlines” here). Ever the do-gooder, Jolie met with Colin Powell at his Alexandria office, and then with his successor as secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice. Longest separation I think since they got together going on three years ago was 5-6 days (due to different time zones) when Angelina went to Vietnam to adopt Pax and Brad had to work in LA. She flew right back to LA and Brad and they have not been separated but once since then when he went to Montreal from Prague for 2 days to finish filming BB and she went to Iraq and Syria for 2 days from NYC. They are determined to be together. Even in the beginning of their relationship they were never apart more than 2-3 days at a time. When she was filming in NYC and he was filming in Canada in 2005, they were always flying back and forth to be together.

“She’s absolutely serious, absolutely informed,” says former secretary of State Colin Powell. “Her work with refugees is not something to decorate herself. She studies the issues.” Powell has spoken with Jolie several times over the years, and they’ve been honored together at benefits for refugee causes. There is, he says, no sanctimony about her. “For her, it’s not about saving the world, it’s about saving kids,” he says. “She doesn’t need this. This needed her.”

Angelina Jolie, Condoleeza Rice and the Refugees

Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie. They are launching the 5th Annual World Refugee Day celebrations at the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Paul Rusesabagina (whose life inspired the film Hotel Rwanda) was welcomed by thunderous applause that briefly stopped the ceremony.

Jolie eloquently and passionately reminded everyone that the United States was founded by refugees. “One of America’s most inspiring symbols is the Statue of Liberty,” she said. “She is the Mother of Exiles with her promise of refuge to the world’s tired, poor, to those huddled masses yearning to breathe free, she welcomed millions of ‘new Americans’ over the years.”

She also reminded the audience that there are millions of refugees whose futures are still uncertain: “World Refugee Day is the day we make sure they aren’t forgotten.”

Later that evening, Paul Rusesabingina, Terry George and UNHCR’s Craig Sanders chaired a question-and-answer panel following a special screening of Hotel Rwanda. One of the audience members asked Rusesabagina how he found his courage to save over 1,200 Rwandans during the genocide, to which the Rwandan replied: “I remained who I was and did not follow the majority. The majority is not always right. Whoever kills knows that killing is never right.”

Brad and Angelina’s Miltonic moment

This has been an amazing fortnight for followers of Brad and Ange. Two simple September weeks have given an extra polish to a screen-biz legend already buffed to a dazzle. Brad is the one who came up via commercials, minor TV shows and a bit part in Thelma and Louise to become the cinema’s most beautiful leading male. Angelina is the one who emerged from a stormy parental chrysalis (and still won’t pick up the phone to father Jon Voight), followed by humungous fanzine exposure, to become the screen’s most beautiful - or sexiest at any rate - female.

Now, in a synchronised coup, they have both been anointed as serious actors.

Last week Brad was named Best Male Performer at the Venice Film Festival, to gasps of respectful surprise. We who had seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford admired Pitt’s work as the first-named outlaw but thought the prize likelier to go to the second outlaw, showily played by Casey Affleck. (His brother Ben won Venice Best Actor last year.) Either that or the gong would be bestowed, as so often, on a non-Hollywood actor no one outside Europe had heard of.

Then yesterday, in the UK and other parts of the planet, Angelina opened in A Mighty Heart, playing the seriously serious role of Marianne Pearl. Pearl was the wife, then widow, of the Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel, famously slain in a jihadi execution. Jolie received praise at Cannes in Michael Winterbottom’s film for dowdying down and accenting up to impersonate an everyday-attractive French brunette with a high anguish quotient. The actress’s strong performance culminates in an ear-piercing primal scream on receiving confirmation of her husband’s murder. (I thought the scream the single false note, the one that said, “This is my Oscar bid”.)

For Mr and Mrs Pitt the moment is almost Miltonic. They are no longer babes in the Edenic backyard; they have joined the acting grown-ups. This is both good news and bad. There is something lapsarian - something a little cast-out-of-paradise - about beautiful people who risk martyring their beauty with talent. Not content with the elite status granted them by a deity who has placed them in the Garden of the Eternal Photo Opportunity, they risk all on raiding the Tree of the Knowledge of Passion, Emotion and Character Exploration.

(If you think invoking the Book of Genesis is overdoing it a bit, I would argue that Brad and Ange have already been acting out this scenario, wittingly or unwittingly. Both actors have spent an unseemly amount of recent screen time toying with snakes: Jolie in Alexander, as witchy-sexy Olympias, the hero’s mother;and Pitt, for no detectable plot reason but eye-catchingly and biblically, in Jesse James. He is even seen in one sequence wreathing his arms in a whole variety of serpents.)

The world feels ambivalent - both intrigued and apprehensive, or even a bit resentful - when beauty is joined on a single person’s mantelpiece by other trophies of accomplishment. “It isn’t fair” is part of our feeling. No one should be so blessed. In cinema the love-hate attitude to the beauty-talent linkup has been particularly keen. The paradigm is surely Marilyn Monroe. A tendency to reduce men to vaporous emanations of concupiscence, by a presence suggesting a pre-cognitive pulchritude, an unthinking animal perfection, cannot and must not, we feel, be sullied by conscious artistry. The need continues today, among many, to believe that Monroe had no intelligence, no discipline, no technique, no application. She just “was”.

In the same way, on screen, Gary Cooper, a male beauty, just “was”. So was Valentino. So, in her most iconic scenes, was Garbo (that impassive face blown by the sea breezes at the end of Queen Christina). And Marlene Dietrich so determinedly and near-totemically “was” - presenting to the glow of the production lights her impassive beauty with its sculpted cheekbones and elevated eyebrows - that she, for me, rather gave the game away. I always pictured Dietrich, at the end of a take, tearing off her air of elevated inanition and rowdying with the boys and girls behind the camera. (Pretty much true to reported fact.)

For the actuality is this. Beauty is not enough for stardom. It never has been. There has always been talent too, whether that extra gift is acting ability, charisma - and knowing how to use it - or an engaging richness of mannerism: all those things that are most simply summed up in the words, “the camera loves him/her”.

Pedants will have positioned themselves by now to point out that Pitt and Jolie have won acting acclaim before. Yes, I know. Each has been noticed by the Oscar voters. Brad won a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Twelve Monkeys, Jolie a Best Supporting Actress award for Girl, Interrupted. But I don’t count Oscars. Those handouts - especially for supporting roles - are given by the mad to the glad. Their yardsticks measure the yardage of shtick; their criterion is a showy quirkiness. Winning a performance prize at Venice and being good in the lead of a Michael Winterbottom movie are, in each case, a quite different thing.

So let’s salute Mr and Mrs Pitt. They have raised their game. At the same time let’s state once more: it is naive to be surprised. If an actor has reached the point of being a star, that actor has already made it clear that he or she is more, much more, than just a pretty face.

Pham Quang Sang was not the name given Pax by the orphanage after he was abandoned at birth in a hospital and then at the age of 30 days placed in the orphanage. In Vietnam, the name is written in reverse order so in English it would be Sang Quang Pham, Pham being the last name. Angelina’s mother picked the name Pax which means peace before she died. Angelina and Brad honored her mother by using that name. Pax’s legal name is Pax, period. That’s on his birth certificate and his passport, just like every other adopted child’s legal name.

And because you are so poorly educated almost 100% of adopted children, and 100% of younger adoptd children are given new names when they become part of their new families. It is part of their assimulation into their families.

Try doing some research before you rant, oh but you clearly lack the skills and ability to do so, that is so evident.

I think what fascinates people so much about Brad and Angelina is that they are way more than just actors. They are vitally interested in and involved with the world around them. Unlike a lot of actors, they know the world doesn’t begin and end in Hollywood.

Contrast that to Jenzilla, who doesn’t give a damn about anything but laying around on her yoga mat, walking her mutts and blow-drying her hair, when she isn’t tagging along after the Cox/Arquettes every where they go. “Superficial” is probably too big a word for you to handle, so can you say B-O-R-I-N-G?

Brad always looked half-dead when he was with X; he had this bored gaze on his face whenever he was with her. Since being with Angelina he’s come totally alive.

Adopted children of all ages are usually renamed. Try to read something on your first grade comprehension level about adoption practices. UNDERSTAND THIS? Of course not, you can’t read at that level can you? Sang was a name given by the orphanage with no special meaning attached, not a family name. Pax was only three years old when adopted, having lived in an orphanage since the age of 30 days old. Of course you have never adopted but you come here and express your innate nastiness and prejudice about good hearted people who have done so. Shame on you.

Older children 5-6 and up are usually asked if they want to keep their name or change and most want to change to be like their new families. Sometimes an original first name is kept as a middle name.

Pham Quang Sang is not Pax’s original name.
Vietnam like some Asian countries has reverse way.

And pronouciation is different of because they have different phonetic system. Their phonetic system cannot be written correctly in alphabet.
For example, Vietnamese surname ‘ Bo ‘ in alphabet is different from original Vietnamese sound. It’s hard to pronounce for foreigner to pronounce their original syllables.

I had several students from Vietnam and cannot call them in their way and end up to call them with Japanese phonetic way.
Believe me, I teach Japanese to foreigners and only a few of them can call me in natural way.

#80: the question should be asked of you. What will you do if they split up in 12 months. You will have nowhere to go to and you will never get to act so morally superior again. You will be lost without them.

Maybe that is what you fear the most. If you invest your time and emotions again, you’d be heartbroken once more if they ever split up like the former golden couple. Don’t worry though, the JPs are very much invested in their relationship too. They would work it out and find every which way to resolve their differences because they truly love each other. These two are bound and determined to grow old together and raise as many kids as they can so splitting up is not an option.

Well, I don’t know about a three year old boy, but my neighbor adopted a three year old girl from China a few years ago. Her name is Arielle. I am fairly certain her Chinese birth mother didn’t name her Arielle. That is the name her adoptive mother gave her, and that is the name she answers to. She is an adorable little girl, now seven years old, very bright and outgoing and very much loved by her adoptive mother. So when you talk about decency, have the decency to know what you are talking about, instead of shooting off at the mouth about what you obviously know nothing about. You make yourself look extremely silly when you do that.

love the “Financial Times” write up. How true about Brad and Angelina visibly raising the bar, by proving they have both beauty and intelligence.

It’s interesting how the writer says that in real life, those who become stars have talent and intelligence to begin with. I must say when I first became interested in Brad and Angelina, I did think actors were dumb which was why I wasn’t very interested in Brad even though I could see he looked good. I did take notice of Angelina because she was UN goodwill ambassador.

I still think some actors are dumb, but those who survive for years and years on the Alist are definitely, talented and smart. People like clooney, damon, pitt, jolie, etc. Time will tell whether Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck etc make the cut.

In the arthouse scene, which is quickly getting more crowded with each passing week, Brad Pitt rolls in as both actor and producer in the Old West drama The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Warner Bros. is unleashing the R-rated pic in only 15 theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Austin hoping to generate a strong average and positive word of mouth.

Pitt already scored the Best Actor trophy for his portrayal of the famous outlaw at the Venice International Film Festival and is making a bid for kudos attention over the months ahead. Reviews have been mostly positive and an expansion is planned for the coming weeks.

Oh really, I don’t see it in Cannes, Dauville, Venice, TIFF, NYC, wherein they were cheer and mobbed. They were the most love and popular couple on all these festivals. I don’t think if you hate someone, you’ll endure the hit of sun , cramping with crowd for hours just to have a glimpse of your idol from the red carpet.

love the “Financial Times” write up. How true about Brad and Angelina visibly raising the bar, by proving they have both beauty and intelligence.

It’s interesting how the writer says that in real life, those who become stars have talent and intelligence to begin with. I must say when I first became interested in Brad and Angelina, I did think actors were dumb which was why I wasn’t very interested in Brad even though I could see he looked good. I did take notice of Angelina because she was UN goodwill ambassador.

I still think some actors are dumb, but those who survive for years and years on the Alist are definitely, talented and smart. People like clooney, damon, pitt, jolie, etc. Time will tell whether Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck etc make the cut.

I just saw the film, and I have to say it was a magnificent experience. The film does require some level of above average patience since it moves at a fairly leisure and slow pace, so this isn’t exactly for your average film goer. Anyhow, the film features an immensly compelling narrative, with great breadth and vision, that at the end feels like an epic tragedy. This film while containing some action one would expect in a western, is prominently a psychological character study. The visuals are absolutely breathtaking. I cannot say enough about the beauty of the cinematography by Roger Deakins and crew in this film, with elaborate shots of various landscapes and the sky. The musical score of the film is beautiful, yet at times chilling with how it is blended into the narrative. The performances by Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck are terrific, as well as the supporting cast, but the two leads carry the film, with very layered, complex performances. Its great to see Brad Pitt deliver an excellent performance in a serious, ambitious film, as lately things that are absolutely irrelevant to his craft and to anybody besides him have overshadowed his public persona. And Casey Affleck is definitely “here” with a great performance in a lead role. Andrew Dominik shows some serious artistic poise and vision with this masterfully and meticulously crafted film, especially for his second film. And along with what I thought was the terrific,albeit significantly different in tone and storytelling, “3:10 to Yuma”, its great to see to excellent westerns this year, as they have long been obscure. So I highly recommend for anybody who appreciates high caliber films to check out this one.

This is the reason the movie took two years to hit the theater. This is the reason there were so many edits. This is the reason it will have

This is the reason this movie is a great win for Brad(and Casey). Brad acting has been applauded. This is the second year in a row that Brad’s acting has been mention Oscar worthy. Brad has not had such great reviews for his acting in many many years. The best is yet to come.

Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s daily trips to and from school have officially become a police matter.

When Daddy Brad arrived yesterday afternoon to pick Maddox up, NYPD had set up barriers to keep the snapperazzi and onlookers a few yards away from the front door of the Lycee Francais. When it came time to leave, the crush of peepers was so insane, Brad decided to take Maddox out a back door.

Earlier in the day, Brad brought along Pax and Zahara to take big bro to school. No word on whether the Lycee will be bringing in the Marines when Brad’s three other kids enroll.

TMZ was reporting on the pickup the previous day, on Thursday. Brad went in on 76th (the entrance the lower school uses and where, for the most part, the papz and students/fans wait, and then he smartly/sneakily left through the 75th street entrance/exit.

I’m the one who reported on the blonde. My teenage son called from his cell phone to tell me. Whereas the papz are barricaded from the view my son had, he was allowed to pass because we live on the block and he needs the sidewalk/route to get to where he’s going.

My guess was that the blonde was Ange — maybe the highlights or the sun in her hair? He wasn’t sure, didn’t see a face. But that was just a guess.

According to police, Clooney was driving his Harley-Davidson north on Boulevard East in Weehawken, N.J., at 3:30 p.m. when he collided with a 1999 Mazda Millenia that allegedly attempted to make a right turn from the left lane.

Larson appeared to have cuts on her face and an injury to her foot and was taken away by ambulance, says Weehawken police Sgt. Sean Kelly.

Clooney drove away from the scene on his motorcycle, Kelly says, and apparently met Larson at the hospital.

The Mazda driver, identified as Albert Sciancaledore, 27, of Weehawken, was uninjured.

Clooney told police he was driving in the right lane when the other driver sped up to try and pass him before making the right turn, according to Kelly. But Sciancaledore told police it was Clooney who was trying to pass cars in the right lane, Kelly says.

The crash remains under investigation.

This isn’t really a review; consider it a breathless, extemporaneous appreciation. I saw The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford a few hours ago and it doesn’t feel like something to sit down and matter-of-factly dissect. God, it’s a majestic accomplishment. Hard to remember the last time a film had me so deeply in its reality. Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy did it; so did Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia and, to a lesser extent, Darren Aronofsky’s Requiem for a Dream. (All very different from Assassination; I’m only comparing the effect.) I saw each of those three or four times in the theater and the same will probably end up being true of Andrew Dominik’s film.

I experienced Assassination in my skin and my blood and my bones. It’s such a powerful piece of art… spooky, absolutely beautiful, and so richly put together. From the trailer and early reviews I expected a tone poem, something lovely to look at but not necessarily affecting in any profound sense–like Terrence Malick’s The New World, with its mumbling and utterly inscrutable characters framed by gorgeous forest–so what initially startled me was the genuine humor and deftness of Dominik’s script (and of Ron Hansen’s dialogue–Hansen wrote the novel). Every character is achingly human and distinguished with care, given dignity and pettiness and strange quirks and spotlit moments.

There are so many perfect things in this film, large and small: The train robbery at the beginning… the sight of Jesse James toying with serpents in his back yard… the glimpse of fish beneath the ice… **** Liddell seducing his friend’s stepmother… the horrific forced laughter after Jesse pretends he’s going to slit Bob Ford’s throat… the moment of Jesse’s murder, which is just as much a suicide…

And everyone involved has done an astonishing job. No slack. Every actor (including Sam Shepherd as Frank James, Paul Schneider as **** Liddell, Sam Rockwell as Charley Ford, and Ted Levine–Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs, amusingly enough–as a lawman) has got it exactly. Even James Carville. Dominik must be a directing genius to have gotten performances this uniformly excellent out of his cast. And Roger Deakins’ cinematography is otherworldly; I’ve never seen another movie that looked like this. And Warren Ellis and Nick Cave’s score got into me like heroin. And–

Enough, I’ll stop already. Suffice to say I loved this movie more than any I’ve seen in a very long time. Will you? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn’t seem to have been universally appreciated. But there have certainly been others–this guy, for example–who felt as strongly as I did. Devin Faraci, the best movie critic on the internet, apparently also loved it. So did one or two others. Like Magnolia and Oldboy and 2001 and Days of Heaven–it’s an idiosyncratic taste. It meanders (perfectly, mesmerizingly) and rambles and draws moments out, and some people will be bored (fair enough) and others will call it pretentious (these people will generally be ignorant) and that’s that. So it’s not a movie I’ll be recommending to every person I know. Only to select ones.

On the other hand, it appears I won’t be able to stop myself from telling everyone about it.

#67 If you are worrying about Pax’s name change, please don’t. The state run orphanage (translate should be corrupt-plague) alread9 changed it to suit their purpose. Worse yet, they changed his last name–from TRUONG to Pham. Don’t question how I know. I am Vietnamese and I read Vietnamese newspaper. During the period Jolie was there to pick him up there were a host of articles about him, many of which featured interviews of the orphanage’s caretakers. One woman slipped and said ‘be Truong Quang Sang…’. One doesn’t slip on thing like this if it isn’t what he was known there. It was an on-line article and the next day it was removed (state-run newspaper so the slip was caught. I bet that woman lost her job). Typical of communist governments–every thing is deceptive. So, my dear, the child was deliberately abandoned by his family, grandparents (who did not dress so destitute) included, and his family name was changed. Another name wouldn’t hurt. He is in much better environment now. I envy his getting the opportunity to travel the world. Don’t worry about him or an9one else’s children, for that matter.

Anyway, as Angelina and Zahara emerged from the car, the paps were right there and Zahara said, among other things, ‘Again’. I think the movie is doing well considering it is only 5 theaters. My God, some people hate Brad so much, that they would call a movie that only opened in limited release, (ultra limited) a failure? Into the Wild projections is only $30,000 more than James. James is going to be a hard sell, but Warners is smart enough not to make the same mistake like Paramount did with “Mighty Heart”. This slow release is the best to go with this “art house movie” I can’t wait to see it, but it is not showing anywhere near where I live.

Do you think you might be able to stop living in the past and get on the same page as Ms. Jolie and the rest of us? He wanted to get out of his relationship with Jennifer Aniston and he found a way by connecting with Angelina and her cause. I do not think he is in love with Angelina, I think he admires her but not in love. He must be in love with somebody else and probably could not be with her. Brad is getting thinner and thinner like Angelina. Brad should get out of this horrendous life. It is not for him.

Some women, yes women, act as if Brad was married to them and that he divorced them. After all this time they cannot and willnot let go of this delusional belief. They are sick sick people.

Other women search high and low for any reason whether logical or illogical to rationalize a belief that Brad does not dearly love Angelina and everything about her. They appear to be afraid to let go of this belief as if by doing so their lives will be impacted. How I do not know but this seems to be their thinking.

Brad elicits for whatever reason a belief in some women that they “own” him, that he is their “property”. That silly 16 year old in Venice said that “he looked at her therefore he wanted her to hug him”. That’s the same kind of thinking that otherwise seemingly sane adult women have about Brad. I understand from talking to older relatives that some women felt the same way about Paul Newman and the Beetles and Elvis. Brad does not do anything overt to get this reaction, he gets it because he just is.

Angelina gets the scorn and angry reactions from these crazy women because she is clearly the love of his life, and she had Shiloh, his biological child. They coud care less about the X, they were not X fans, they are Brad fanatics. Notice the Brad fanatics do not even mention the X, it’s always about Angelina. They recognize that the union of Brad and Angelina is a real love match, a melding of two lives into one. So they will continue to rail and rant over the internet as they are truly the miserable delusional among us.

Angelina and Brad could break up, which I do not seem happening as they appear more united each day, and these women would not stop their behavior toward her. She “stole” Brad’s heart and they can’t get over that. They fail to realize that love does conquer all.

And the screamers who rush to judgement and gleefully post negative AOJJ news, speak not lest you speak too soon. He who laughs last laughs the loudest.

Jen fans are happy. She is back in the news, she has a new movie, pics of her are popping up all over the place. We have certainly moved on as Jen has. Those posting angry vile things here are not Jen fans. Jen looks great and good things are happening in her life. Getting Brad out of her life was the best thing that could ever happen for her. She will find the love of her life now, Brad clearly was not that.

Look how she smiles now, she is in a happy place in her life, she has the life she wants. Thinking about it, it would have been better for her to just have been good friends with Brad, because that is how he now says he thought about her. He does seem to love Angelina and their kids.

That’s a very interesting statement to make here in 2007. Especially when you have 2 very critical racial situations brewing. In case you don’t know them, they are:

The Jena 6
The West Virginia 6

These along with other nonpublicized injustice seem to put things in perspective a bit and that perspective is that when it comes to the status quo, people of color always seem to get the short end of the justice stick.

So why is it such a problem when someone is willing to go to bat for them?

I will admit, Angelina is for ALL children Not as you say just the ‘colored’ ones. It is YOU who made the diffrence and it is those same ‘colored’ children that feel that difference every day of their life as they grow into adulthood.

As for Condi and Bush Admin, I agree with you. I am puzzled by her visit. Unless Angie’s purpose is to lobby for or raise money for the programs she wants to implement.

It could have been a simple briefing. All three of them are on the board of the Council on Foreign Relations. Rice and Powell may have just wanted the details of Angie’s visit and her impressions. She has obviously impressed Powell and he is on record as saying he has great respect for her.

Angelina is not an intellectual lightweight; she is extremely intelligent and observant. Rice and Powell probably value her opinions and thought they were well worth hearing on this subject.

That makes a lot of sense, and if Angelina is able to persuade Condi Rice to make some of those funds available to the education programs, more power to her. Bush is a disaster as a president and a human being. He has already promised to veto the children’s health insurance bill currently before Congress. He doesn’t give a damn how many children die as long as they are poor and/or non-white.
