It is funny what people will latch onto, just to try to have other people take sides. Good point, Sheri… The haters gotta have drama, somehow. If it can’t have Team Jolie and Team Chin, they’ll scrape the sides of the barrel, or so it seems.

And those obssessive, retarded haters will spend their youth, maturity time and supposedly oldest wise time to lurk, wondering, analysing and bitching about a celebrity couple who doesn’t give a damn about them and happen to live their life on their terms no matter what, keeping on rising, growing, solidifying, building and being successfull in EVERY aspect of their life.

Seems that the haters are the losers one spending all their valuable time on trying by any means necessary to prove on blogs that a celebrity couple is fake while watching their miserable life keep on being miserable and wasting their energy on a cause which doesn’t even effect their own life in one way or another.

I’ve been lurking around this site for a little while now and am a fan of the Jolie-Pitts. First I’d like to say that there are no other more dedicated fans than JP fans and for that I commend you. I don’t usually read the comments because there are usually lots of negative things written by non-fans that are both frustrating and unnecessary. Furthermore I am not really interested in what people who hate them have to say, it is their right to speak their minds but it is also my right to ignore them.

Anyway I don’t really know what possesed me to read and respond to this thread in particular but here I am joining the fray. I think it’s because several questions have come to mind while reading the “hater”comments:

- How are they “media whores” if the only times we see them are at premeires or interviews for their upcoming films? ( the fact is that it’s part of being in the Entertainment industry to promote yourself and your body of work.)

- How are they frauds? (I believe that Angelina was doing humanitarian work pre-MMS…when the paps weren’t stalking her)

-Why is it a problem for people who have money and fame to help people less fortunate? (just because one is famous or an actor doesn’t mean they aren’t human and don’t feel for other people suffering. they do alot and they don’t have to.)

-Is it safe to say we are all one thing? (”they are just actors” is a silly comment just because people are not simply made up of one aspect of life, we are multi-facted and are able to change and grow and become better versions or worst versions of ourselves)

I realize I am ranting at this point and this response is really long but I was just curious… as to why people have such a hard time believing that perhaps these two people can be genuine and care for the world and their family?

It takes a dedicated person to choose to be a parent (which is essentially what adopting is)… raising children isn’t easy (as most of you parents know) but to say that the love they feel for their children is just for show or for more publicity is ludicrous. I mean who in their right mind would choose the hardest job on earth to gain publicity when all they really have to do is go out? be seen with other celebs? isn’t that enough?

Hello. Yeah, I agree with you and I have always hated that term to describe people of color. There is no dignity in it as far as I see it, from learning about my history it was just another put down.

The person who said it though might not have meant the way it came out.

I didn’t have a test. I started school back this week and my first class on Mondays is math which I hate. So I was complaining. I am already dreading mid-terms and that’s awhile away.

People use terms that sometimes they don’t realize are offensive. Me I would have read them the riot act then felt bad later! My dad is much older than my mom, I hear the stories, he’s 86 she’s in her 70’s, if you have older family, start taping their stories. We did that with my great grandmother, it’s amazing! What gets me is, alot of the silliness is still going on, The Jena 6! Keep your eyes open, your a bright young woman. What are you going to school for, did I see you want to be an actress? Or am I way off? Wouldn’t be the first time! Please don’t get upset, I know its over and done with, but I need to say this, PT has given me some great advice! From what you have said, and reading your posts, your parents did a great job! Think first, don’t jump. I still have that problem. Whatever I can do to help you, let me know. Your the future! ((clapping)) You make me proud!

Also, to try and answer why posters would refuse to believe the good…

I think that firstly, some people are inclined to see the negative in people and in situations, they look for it, they anticipate it, they define it according to their own slanted expectations (my m-i-l is a bit like this, ha!)

I prefer to look for the good, and therefore I see it.

But secondly, and mostly, I think the internet fosters a bully/hater mentality, and you find people acting and speaking and presenting in ways they never would in real life. I suspect that most of these haters don’t even really hate, they just have an addiction to being an internet hater, and so they play the part.

It must feed something in them. Some sense of hater community. :O
